T, W, Chambers email i got today bad news

Hello,

You are receiving this email because you currently have an account registered for T W Chambers & Co.

We are writing to make you aware that as of the 22nd of August 2025 we will no longer ship to America. Any orders received after this date will be cancelled and refunded.

As of 29th Aug 2025 all imports to USA are subject to tariffs based on the country of manufacture. There is no minimum value for goods subject to these tariffs, the previous $800 limit has been removed.

The US administration are implementing a system whereby all tariffs and handling charges must be paid prior to import or the goods will be refused entry.

At the present time it is unclear exactly what charges will be levied in addition to tariffs or how these charges would be collected.

It is clear both tariffs and handling charges will significantly increase our prices and require us to invest in modifying our systems to comply with the US regulations.

We take the view that until and unless the US authorities stabilise their approach it is not financially viable for us to invest in system modifications to comply.

We will keep the situation under review, and it may be possible to resume shipments at some stage in the future.

Thank you for your custom over the years and if you do have any immediate orders, please place them before 22nd Aug. We have set this date 1 week ahead of the deadline to ensure packages could clear import before tariffs are imposed.

Redlight hunting but no Coyote tonight

@ZekeZX10 Pictured below, I’m running the NS750 Double Trouble on my M357 (a single torch). It’s a bright beam that reaches out there. I can change colors too. I have red and green bulbs.

That is nice, I was just watching a video on it you can even adjust the elevation it and windage on it.

In ground here are yellow jackets some times in a crevice area . But most here are ground dwelling . If you see them eating your grilling meat especially raw or picnic foods you got a nest close
yes you are correct about the bees that I had in the ground.. I called them meat bees, and they are worse than the other bees because they actually bite you and take out a chunk and sting.. I swell up really bad with them for days.. fortunately l haven't seen any here.. wasp spray doesn't work for them because it doesn't get down into the nest.. but a cup of gas does the trick.

FX  $2500 airgun

I've been fortunate to aquire a variety of airguns including a dozen PCPs from Air Arms, Daystate, Feinwerkbau, FX, Rapid Air Weapons, Walther and Weihrauch. There's lots more good ones that I'm not familiar with.

Of the premium priced airguns, I'd say that they are all good quality, well made, well designed and preform better than the typical shooter. Realistically, nothing to complain about.

We can dream about the one airgun that is perfect for every application but magic and miracles aside that's not good to happen. Each brand/model has its features, strengths and weaknesses so it's up to the buyer to find the best airgun(s) for their specific needs.

I think that people need to put brand loyalty in perspective and evaluate each candidate relative to its potential use. The most important thing to determine is does the airgun meet your (real) needs.

For example, the FX Impact MK1 pellet gun got my interest, I bought the MK2 as a pellet gun with slug capabilities, the MK3 and MK4 slug guns are very nice, but the MK2 meets my needs and I see no reason to upgrade.

After my good experience with the FX Royale 500, I bought the Impact for its versatility, got the Crown MK2 as a general plinker/pester on a trade, invested in a Panthera as a bench rifle and grabbed the light weight DRS as an ideal squirrel stalking rifle. I've been pleasantly surprised with how well each preformed their duties, no problems with any of them.

I've got quite a few FX products, I'm not a fan-boy but I might recommend someone look at a particular model if it was a good fit for their application.

As far as which brand or which model, hype and emotions aside, I'll evaluate everything that's available before making a informed decision.

Just my 2 cents.

Cheers!
I would like to add, availability of parts and service is also something to consider.

RTI  New gun

Nice butt pad. Im shooting queens too, they shoot the best of all the slugs i tried.
I didn’t like the OEM butt pad as it wasn’t adjustable and it would pop off too easy. I bought the adjustable Saber Tactical butt pad and modified it a little to make it fit which works great.

RTI  New gun

I got a .25 RTI Mora Sniper for my new hunting rig. It’s currently shooting 60 grain ALTAROS ATP Queen boat tail slugs at 920fps which is giving me 112fpe! With a lot more room to add more power.

First N50 match preparation help

Ben provided some excellent advice. We [Meeker Sportsman Club) provide cold bottled water for our shooters during every match. We require ear and eye protections to be worn during a hot range. We provide loaners in case you forget. We also require ECI’s (Empty Chamber Indicator) flags installed in the breech end of the barrel from your gun case to the firing line and back. We also provide loaners if you don’t have one? We provide the targets and push pins to secure them to our target backer boards.

You may clean your rifle bore at the equipment bench if needed?

We have wooden stools at each bench. Many shooters bring their own adjustable drummer’s throne stools because not everyone fits comfortably on our wooden stools.

There are umpteen ways to set up your rifle on the bench. I would suggest not buying anything yet until you attend a match and talk to folks to see what others are using. The simplest method is a front bipod and rear squeeze bag. We have 14 concrete benches under roof and evenly spaced but unfortunately you would not be able to use a floor rested Bog Pod without encroaching on the adjacent bench. I can bring a bipod and rear bag for you to borrow. You just need a picatinny rail on the bottom of your gun and let me know in advance so I can pack that gear for you.

Your Milwaukee bag is step above my Harbor Freight tool bag so you will not be out of place at Meeker ;)

If possible have your highest power scope mounted and zeroed to 50 yards. IMO a 24X is the bare minimum. Some have used 16 and 18 power but more is better IMO. There isn’t time to practice or zero your scope before our matches so be prepared on that. You have 20 minutes to shoot 25 bulls and that is PLENTY of time to tweak your scope on the row of sighter bulls on each target card.

Bring pellets and mags. Heavier pellets are generally used by the more successful shooters. For example, if you have a .22 then set your gun up for 22-28 grain pellets. Heavier pellets buck the wind better. Most shoot .22 caliber at 50Y but we also have a few .25 and .30 shooters too. The guys that have tried .177 only did that once and when they returned they were shooting larger caliber pellets. You can also shoot slugs but that puts you in the Sportsman class. Most who have shot slugs end up returning to the pellet class.

Wear comfortable clothes. We don’t have fashion cops so there’s no need to dress to impress ;) We often have dew on the grass so water proof or closed toe shoes are a plus.

We take safety as priority one. Before the match begins, we take a few minutes to review our club‘s safety rules because we want everyone going home with the same number of holes in them that they arrived with.

Don’t be afraid to ask questions of anyone at Meeker. All our shooters are friendly, open and encouraging to new shooters. We ALL started where you are now so there’s no such thing as a dumb question. If you show up and forgot something, there’s a good chance someone can help get you going. During our last shoot the guy next to me blew an O-ring in his fill hose. We took five minutes, replaced the O-ring and got that guy shooting. We are here to help and encourage anyone.

We charge $20 to shoot a three card match for non-members and $15 for club members. Accurate change is appreciated.
Igolfat8 is absolutely correct about the friendly and helpful folks at our matches. I’m the guy who needed the o-ring. Everyone jumped in and helped get the situation quickly resolved.

Thoughts on buying used?

Airgun ING is a hobby that includes working on the guns. If you don't then it'll cost a lot more. A pcp will need work sooner or later.
I've bought tons of used guns, not much to complain about. You get the dork every once in a while that doesn't quite reveal the problems he's had, and that's annoying, but usually fixable. Most guys are up front and honest and a real pleasure to deal with. That's the cool part of buying sell ng and trading.

All of the pcp rifles I have now are used, that speaks volumes.

AEA  No more challenger standard????

I’ve heard that too and all the shops I’ve tried were out of most if not all calibers. I managed to get one of or maybe the last one Fox Air Power had this last March. Mine is a standard stock 24” in .357. I agree that it is really a “good bang for the buck” gun. Mine shoots a couple of NOE mold cast slugs pretty well, but it really shoots the FX Hybrids. They group really well at 100 yards and leave the muzzle at 1120 fps! My maximum fpe is in the low 230’s with the heavier slugs. So far I’ve had 0 issues with mine and I think they’re missing the boat if they have discontinued the line. They’re still not light (mine was 8.4# out of the box), but it’s still only 9.5# scoped. I wish they really were the 6.9# as advertised, but I kind of knew that before I bought it.
I gotta save now myself to try to grab a max power version from blue grass big bore in 357 ,I have the challenger 51cal. It's is the "baby zues"lol using 390gr spitzer getting 650fpe easily at 4500 psi ,tho not consistent pushes over 600 with alot of different slugs.i did some videos on my youtube channel on it

You know the old saying on that deal..

Wonder what the exploding pellets would do ? Probably not enough resistance to the nest to set them off ?

PCP Rifle  WTS Daystate Tsar FT Rifle

Looking to sell a very nice Daystate/Ataman Tsar FT rifle.

Rifle is in great overall condition. Wood has no issues, the blue anodizing of the action is not as bright as it was when it was new, but it looks good. The anodizing on the top rail has worn thin and the aluminum under shows, but your scope rings or mount will cover this if it's an issue.

I didn't like the unfinished factory barrel so I put a carbon fiber sleeve over it which is held in place by a small bit of epoxy. There is also a 1/2x20 thread adapter on the barrel, also held by a dab of epoxy and set screws. Barrel band has been removed but I still have it, and the butt hook extension piece is there but not in the picture.

Factory regulator replaced with Huma reg and adjusted down to shoot 8.4gr JSB at around 790fps, but can be adjusted back up for full power. I'll send the factory reg with the rifle so you have both. If I remember correctly, the factory reg was doing ~770fps on average, but the spread and deviation was not that great. Also wouldn't give you higher power if you wanted it.

Great looking, accurate and interesting rifle. Don't really want to sell, but have other toys on the way!

Asking $1500 shipped in the CONUS. Scope, rings and scope base are not included. Please email me at tobinwebster at yahoo dot com or message me here for questions and/or offers. I will try to get some more photos of it soon if I can.

Thanks for looking!
