What did you order / receive airgun related today? Thread

Avator, Yes his site was updated on Sat.. I just got my 10 rd Pinty Mag from Troy & It's what you would expect from him. Fit is great with no wobble. I put 90 rounds through it today with no problems. I know there are Carm & Maple mags available but these are made in the states with free shipping with great quality. PS- He also included a target & one piece of Double Bubble gum. Lol.
LOL... the gum.. We don't use it here so I told him to keep it rather than send it in future orders.. unless he's ok with me using it for a target.

Airforce  Help with male to male? for Benjamin Tank.

Thanks! I had got impatient and went ahead and gussed/bought one. They look the same, did I do alright? I think mine is just a two pack.

If I didn't I can prob still cancel the order. It has not finished processing.

Huben  2 things I dont like about my GK1

enhanced safety and flat trigger arrived yesterday. installed last night. the safety was easy, but the trigger blade was a tad more convoluted :) . easy enough though after studying it a bit.

the safety now allows my to flick it off with the top of my thumb, and reengage it just by thumbing it down. the flat trigger blade really changed the ergonomics of the gun a bit. Now dont feel like I need to mod the grip any. More testing needed, but I suspect if anything I'll just like it more

quality stuff from Rustic Industrial Customs

Thanx to Pale_Rider for that info!

Thoughts on buying used?

i’ve bought and sold over 25 airguns on AGN. The only problems that I’ve experienced are when a seller fails to double box AND prevent contents from shifting. I’ve also bought numerous airguns from AOA and Utah and Pyramid and the Pellet shop - same thing happens with retailers who fail to box and protect items properly - damage! But the big box stores make it much easier to correct the problem.
I only buy used from reputable AGN members after reviewing their feedback profile. I’ve gotten some amazing deals buying used. But sometimes I send that “used” airgun directly into a maintenance depot for a reseal or upgrades. I only buy and sell scopes that have lifetime warranties like from Athlon or Sightron so if there’s a problem - they fix it straight away.
Never a problem with AOA or Pyramid packaging. I was lucky with couple of nice HW rifles from Krale in the Netherlands. Factory box thrown into a larger box and no padding to keep it from bouncing around.

Coltri MCH 6 Owners, get in here, this thread is for you!!

Finally!!

Just got off the phone with Mitch Dexter, Sales for Nuvair. I placed an order today for a new ICON MCH-6 three horsepower electric compressor. 230V, single phase unit. Electrician installed my dedicated 240V single phase, 2 prong 30A circuit in my garage, right behind my work bench. It will handle the start up load and steady state req't for 17A easily as a 230V/30A install.

Price increase effective today. Good thing I got the quote 2 months ago, and Mitch did what he said. He told me he would honor until I was ready. My unit base price w/o some features I ordered was $2970, and price effective today was $3500. I did order an auto shut off switch set to 4700 PSI and lengthened the power cord from 6-8 feet. Got two adapters, one for each tank and associated fill valve. It comes with the standard 300 DIN male which works fine for the GW HP3 valve. The 6.8 L has a foster male for compressor filling, so I got the adapter needed for that as well.

Feel like a little kid. I picked up my two fill tanks ( GW 9L and Tuxing 6.8L) from the Carolina Dive Center today, filled to the usual 4500 PSI. Told the manager, I might not see him for a while. Feel bad in a way, I have been going there for about 8 years once every 2 or 3 weeks. They were great folks and almost always filled, and topped off after cooling to 4500 psi, while I had an hour lunch. They accomodated me so I would not have to drive back the next day. It's a very busy Dive Center and they have a lot of Scuba tanks to fill, so I appreciated the nice touch. Still, I'm getting over it as I type. :):)

Hopefully, everything works as planned. Once I get the compressor, set it up and use it a couple of times, I will do a review.

Tom

P.S. I mentioned to Mitch and Craig, to consider getting a userid / PW access to AGN. There is great value for us and them in having them monitor this thread from time to time. Sent him a link today to get started. Great guy, very responsive and could not have been more helpful.

Thoughts on buying used?

I have bought quite a few over the last few years. Most were long out of production , and some needed some resealing, new springs, but I took that into account. Sellers were upfront with condition. I had one what could have been a bad experience, with a Daisy 747 SSP pistol from ebay. Picture shown and description showed a good gun with intact rear sight. THe one I got had a broken sight, and ebay made the seller take it back and refund my money. A replacement sight was not available. I suspect this year I am into a couple of thousand dollars with 3 used guns, a FWB 602 Meistergrade and two FWB 150's
Some were bought from members here others from folks on Gateway to Airguns and a few on ebay. I always look at ratings of the seller.
Likewise I have ordered parts/accessories. mostly Anschutz diopter sights from dealer in Eastern Europe and never a problem there either.

Just got my Airmarksman Ace slugs

FedEx just delivered my Airmarksman Ace slugs.

This is the 1st 10 shot group at 50 yards from my DRS Classic 22 700.

I have it set up shooting the H&N 34gr Heavy slugs at 975fps. I did not change any settings to shoot the Ace 40.1gr. slugs, they were going 937 fps.

After 5 sight in shots this is the 1st 100 yard group in gusty 12+ mph wind. I held .2 mil to the left for wind.

#7 was shooter.
The hole in the target is ⅞ of an inch.

Hopefully Airmarksman comes out with a high BC Boat Tail Hollow Point for hunting.

I am going to adjust my rifle to shoot them a little faster.

So far I really like the Airmarksman Ace slugs.

They easily fit in the Orion the Iguana Hunter magazines for the DRS.

Try them at 900/920 FPS as well.. They are similar design to the Altaros slugs and thats is kinda their recommended speed Thanks for Sharing the Pics..

Daystate  New Daystate Alphawolf Owner With Some Questions

Hello All! New to the PCP world, just picked up my first from Airguns of Arizona. It’s a Daystate Alpha Wolf HP .30 with 23” barrel. Currently shooting the JSB Diabolo Exact 50.15gr pellets. Trying to figure out regulator pressure. There is a factory setting for this grain pellet and it sets the regulator pressure to 195/196. With a full tank at 240 Bar, I can only shoot a couple of mags before it drops below the regulator setting and gives me the low pressure warning. Curious if there is a better tune or regulator setting that is lower so I can get more shots out of the tank. Please forgive my ignorance as I am still learning about all of this but figured I’d reach out and see if anybody can share some of their knowledge/experience. This gun is amazing and I’m excited to see what it can really do as I learn!

Welcome to the Rabbit Hole of Air Gunning. Very nice setup for your first airgun. I have several guns from AoA, and they are happy to help with questions on setup and getting the proper performance. One thing you can do is upgrade your tank to a 700 CC, which will help your shot count, but adds a little more weight., the other is try some liter pellets, 44gn and even 29gn with lower reg setting like @candiru sauggested is drop the reg down and start coming back up in 5 bar ata time untill you get the right speed and accurecy you are looking for.

All New “ACE” Precision Slugs -

I just received mine today. Shot them out of my Impact with a 700mm barrel, right around 960fps. They are under MOA at 100 yards. Also shot it out of my 600mm Dynamic, around 945fps. Also under MOA at 100 yards. This was without tuning either gun. Just wanted to see what they would do, I didn't have a lot of time. These look like they will be awesome!!
Sounds promising

Mike

Have you found that “ One Airgun”?

I haven't found it yet but I am getting closer. Probably the next one or two
My evol .30 is a tank and extremely accurate as far as an all in one big bore swa .20 it’s a powerful shotgun then change choke and it shoots 400 grain slugs bot used very ethical for hunting and a tough build

Thoughts on buying used?

Pretty sure I wouldn't buy a used gun that would require a machine to fix. I could see an oring here or a spring there but that's about as deep as I'd be willing to go.
Don't ever buy an aea then. That's when I had to buy a mini lathe for my first week with the gun.

To elaborate, I wasn't sending it back because of the problems I was having that year with FedEx and the gun was bought new and just started breaking itself with normal use, so I made all my own parts and even sold some here. I have never had a used gun require machined parts, yet. This is also why I'm not bothering with mediocre budget guns that look too good to be true( not knocking anyone's beloved brands). It's low consequence, dead cheap crosman stuff, or premium gear for me going forward.
