Red-dot sight

@Mark B - Please interpret: HPA-SSP-MPP

HPA = High Pressure Air = PCPs.

SSP = Single Stroke Pneumatic = Pistols and rifles that are one cock, one shot with an air resovoir.

The P17 is an excellent example, everyone should have one. Very affordable SSP pistol with an amazingly good trigger. Direct copy of the much more expensive HW40A.

MPP = Multi-pump pneumatics = Sheridan Streaks / Crosman 760

What springer did you shoot today?

I had the Lazer and lens put in eyes last year. Don’t wear glasses any more.
The sights are what came on and not sure if correct.
The 601 was shooting so low.
I haven’t bought a gas can in 20+ years. Bought one last month and the 601 shot so low I hit my new gas can. View attachment 583742PMO. My mistake. Shot 10 inches low. Not the greatest target holder. 10 meters.
These guns are the best. Crow
You probably know this , but a little 2 part epoxy fix that gas can hole.

Epic  Epic Two velocity problem

I know the problem, your hammer adjuster is loose. There is a small grub screw on top just before your stock attachment, the center one. It controls the spring and bb that notches into your hammer adjuster. When you shoot, it starts backing out and loses tension on the hammer adjuster allowing it to spin with every successive shot. You need to snug it up, not too much as you don’t want to crush the spring, get your hammer adjusted where you want it, then back out the grub screw and add either vibra tite or blue loctite just a tiny bit and screw back in snug. That should keep things in place.

Are the AEA Precision Center puch pellets that good?

Funny you should ask. YESTERDAY I was hunting with my Edgun R3 long,.22 slugger. I realized I had a tin of those that Centercut gave me a few weeks back so I tried them out (25.39gr?) Holy crap! They were shooting as straight & accurate as the preferred slugs that the Edgun LOVES (.217 Daystate Howlers or NSA .217)! Also tried Hades & Redesigned Monsters, they were OK but couldn't come close to the Center Punch!!! I was amazed at the accuracy & consistency. They shot as accurately as slugs and out to 125 yards! I'll try longer range next time.

What springer did you shoot today?

Thanks. The 601 front sight was missing. Oddly there was a front sight on my kitchen floor. No idea where it came from and used it. I have several Weihrauch front sight sets. Will they work?
Not at all familiar with these guns. Crow
Weihrauch inserts will not work in that sight. That sight requires the use of inserts that fit an 18mm FWB front sight. The HW inserts are 14.6mm.
Looking closely at the picture you posted, it appears that the ears of the insert are not fully seated in the front globe causing the insert to be positioned high of center in the front sight possibly?

Typical, so why don't they update their website?
Been though my HP reg again, and it's fine cannot find any reason for the slight drop in power, but as per usual as soon as I start working on it, first the bleed valve starts to leak and the bottle valve O ring goes, I then took the spool valve apart and enlarged the closing jet, but once all back together the only difference I can see is now the LP reg pressure has risen from 150psi to 165psi and I detect no change in the firing note that Motorhead described, and no change in constancy these guns just seem very unpredictable it can be good and consistent one minute and jumping about the next O well back to the drawing board, perhaps my quest for single figure FPS is just a dream with this gun.

Need a barrel OD ground

I have a barrel of particular interest that was machined for a clamp-style receiver at 16mm. It was not machined well and this surface is wavy and inconsistent by a couple thou.

I’d like to put this barrel in my RAW which needs to be .625 (+0/-.0005) diameter. So I assume the only good solution that keeps the length is to OD grind down to .625 and hope for 90-95% cleanup. (To be clear I only want the receiver end ground - not the whole length)

Suggestions who can do this? The local machine shops might but they aren’t barrel people. Bonus if they can machine the port and chamber too.

Epic  Epic 2 flaw

Bought mine March of 24. Loved the operation but struggled with long term consistency. Issue was the bb spring tension on the hammer. Turns out vibration caused the grub screw to back out and thereby release the hammer adjustment to rotate any which way after every shot. It was such a simple silly thing. I added vibra tite to the grub screw instead of locktite by preference. Now assuming it holds, this fine instrument should perform flawlessly. Frankly, it’s a miracle that I shot any 1 MOA groups.

But it only seems to exist on the epoch reg and the screw on cap seems looks shorter.
Took my HP reg apart to clean up and check last night and didn't notice any part like you're describing?

Western Airguns  My Mordax set-up

I recently received a Handguard for my Western Mordax .22 from [email protected] who offers this set-up in the Classified Section of this website. I really like the quality of his rail (all aluminum construction) and the fit is perfect. I fitted it with a Holosun ACSS Vulcan w/ Chevron reticle and a Osprey Global Battlegrip Laser/Flashlight Combo.

This is an awesome set-up for close in rabbit hunting! Lots of fun!View attachment 530093View attachment 530094View attachment 530096View attachment 530098

Where did you get the hand grip?

USA made Crosman Destroyers?

To add ..

I never understood ehy crosman spent time , resources on stuff like this / cra p you really dont want but discontinued the good domed everybody liked and wanted .
Man i cant even now remember the last time i seen crosman domed or wad/flathead pelletes in store.

But it makes good understanding of why crosman failed and became a toss around holding company hot potato and now owned by gamo .
They know their market and that gimmicks sell. Up to whatever stupid velocity number with gold pellets. Pirahna pellets and destroyers.... They know their Walmart market. Meanwhile let's ruin everything good that the enthusiasts loved.
