I had gotten a UTG 3-12x compact and liked it so much I bought another Compact OP3 model, which is a step up. When it arrived it was clear and bright but the parallax wheel had a minor rough spot right in the 30-50 yd range. Right where I mostly shoot. I thought it would work itself out with use but no dice. A few days ago I asked for UTG to take a look at it and today, just a day or two after they received it, I got an email a new scope is already on the way.

That's what I call fantastic service! These scopes offer far more than one would expect and serve me well. So to know they support their customers like this is pretty dang nice.

Just wanted to give them their well deserved shout out.

Feelings and facts are different things, but continue on. I buy used and trade around, just ended up with what i have over time. I started out on the cheapies and mid tier, just decided I like the others more. Spend your money how you like, I bet iI have less money in my "prestigious" guns than the Karma products. I have probably.owned more guns than you have shot, powder or air. My "knowledge " is from years of experience. Again continue on your way, obviosly a civil conversation is not it.

I hate taking the buttplate off so I made a prototype of a hammer spring tool…. A long skinny screw driver can work but a lot of them have fatter angles on the head makes I almost impossible to turn.

The Taipan Vet 2 has been so accurate (and quieter) since I dropped reg pressure from 150bar to 128bar. This 200 tops the 199 that I had on the leaderboard.

It was the only card I shot with the Taipan yesterday. I was sad - needed a boost. Somebody hit my car while parked at a store lot yesterday - and took off. Quite a bit of damage - I love this Mazda3 and she is in great shape, I keep her very clean. Some people are just jerks - will cost me at least $500 (insurance deductible) if I decide to file a claim. Probably well over $1,000 if I decide to pay out of pocket.

I also did some pellet testing with Greg's @NAProf .177 380mm FX Crown barrel. I found a tin of JSB 8.44 - so I gave them a try at 30-Masters - 1st card was a "baseline" using the AEA 8.72s I've had much success with in this barrel. The stunning thing was that the JSBs had a higher velocity than the AEAs - even though the JSBs were HEAVIER. I did a lot of chronoing - the AEAs are longer than the JSBs, might have something to do with the increased drag/friction. In any case, the 8.44s did really well - Greg take note...

195 10X (AEA 8.72 @ 915-922fps)
198 11X (JSB 8.44 @ 940-945fps)
197 10X (JSB 8.44 @ 942fps)
196 11X (JSB 8.44 @ 922-932) dialed down the power wheel a click or two

The 198 tied my 30-Masters high with the .177 Crown this year.

Lol yeah I stand by what I said. Your “knowledge” is opinion.

The way some of y’all whine about triggers makes me laugh. I guess if all I did was punch paper I’d care more but all I do with my guns is kill critters so some feather light, little trigger means nothing to me.

Nor am I a fangirl. I give zero f***s about AEA… but I did notice that all the guns you mentioned are very expensive and have a certain “prestige.” So it’s fine, I get it. You got a lot of money and Brand Name means a lot to you. It’s cool dog enjoy your nice guns it’s all good.

I’ll just be over here outshooting, out hunting and out tuning you with my “polished turd.”

Thanks - I really appreciate the picture.

This time I used a 6mm OD o-ring with 2mm cross section (thickness).

My original guesstimate o-ring was too small.

30 second fix, lol. Aired her up and she’s holding air and ready for action!

No way Id do it in the daytime the way you described, good way to end up in hospital or worse.. Hornets and Yellow Jackets are no joke. Even at night Ive had them fly at hand held flashlight and hit it so what ever you do you better be prepared. The 20 ft spray and late cool night would be your best bet.

With either the mini or the micro I'm assuming the cocking lever can be switched to either side of the gun?

How about bottles, is the bottle on the micro as thick as on the mini in case I want a 480cc on the micro for high shot count?

And 12 fpe in .177, is it a hassle to convert either one to this power level? What's entailed, just a quick explanation so I the jist ?

This would be for plinking on my property and goofing around in unlimited FT at 12 fpe.

Got any links for the best aftermarket .177 mags?

Yeah, I bought a gallon of oil and 3 filters. I'm realizing it's going to take me probably the rest of my life to use a gallon of oil.

I use to kill a few for meat when I was a younger. Front legs were not worth much but the hind quarts and straps would go in the stew pot. After they started to soften up I would take them out, debone and pull the silver skin from the meat. After that, you could finish the shredded meat a number of ways. I always liked them in a meat pie.

and you run out of air, I can always pick up my trusty springers starting with my FWB124. It will never be as easy to shoot as it is with one of my pcp's but remembering the artillery hold is something that I'll always remember. There's nothing like having a quality springer that one can depend on when the going gets rough. I know, some people have had some challenging moments with their FWB124s but they're not all the same with everyone. This is just a little something to think about and a lil something that I thought that I would share with everyone seeing that I've been missing in action for a little while.

You got some catching up to do.........................here's mine ; 08/05 2025..............bought new in 2016 (Airetex) today's Alkin. No fuss , no worries , just keeps trucking and filling tank after tank . They are built like a tank and bullet proof . Mind your maintenance and it will reward you for years to come . Good stuff!

I put it or wasp nest over my powder during hunting season. Reason being the rifle will probably be loaded a good while and I don't take a chance on patch lube getting into the powder. I know its prob not going to happen but doesn't take long to grab an old wasp nest and shove it down the barrel.
