FX  FX barrel liner twist rate....for the umpteenth time?

I was looking over my liners and noticed that my Crown 177-380mm pellet liner is 1:28 twist?? No mention anywhere I can find of this twist for 177?
Is this some kind of unicorn?

According to the european airguns site, the FX .177 380mm comes in two twist rates.

However, there seems to be just one part# for an FX .177 380mm.

So, when ordering an FX .177 380mm, you would have to specify to the dealer which twist rate you want.

FX really should have different part numbers for different twist rates.

Flubbed on my Foray with Burris XTR Signature Scope Rings

All I had to go on for torque specs are from the FAQ section on the scope manufacture’s website.

Torque specs as listed with scope👍
as for inserts, they must be paired +5 -5 in front or back but the same number used in one ring - plus or minus…etc… you can’t mix them so if I want twenty MOA I have to use plus twenty bottom rear and minus twenty top rear. And both front rings would be the zero inserts

3D Printed 3L Bottle Cradle

I just bought my first 3-D printer, too. I am digging the challenge of design and print.

CAD and slice is a little different from my laser design software, but I'm starting to understand how to manipulate the environment.

I like the anti-roll cradle. I need to make one for my fill station.

Good work! 👍
I uploaded a 3mf file to thingiverse that should be able to download straight to the slicer.

Amazon SCBA adapter for refill

I use this. Probably not best option. They do have a Filling Station, but I didn't have that money at the time.
One thing is certain though, you don't have to wonder about Air Tanks Plus products quality or safety.
I removed the internal one-way valve so can fill tank, and fill gun from tank. When filling gun, I just gently, barely open tank valve (not abruptly) and slow fill watching gun's gauge.

Booster pump and Yong Heng Vs GX Filter

A little history to set a baseline ...

Ive always used a combination of multiple little inline tampon filters for my air removal. With the Yong Heng, the tampons have always been moist after a 15-20 min run. That was even with using the Yong Heng moisture blow outs every three minutes during the fill. With my previous booster (Shoebox) I usually got a drop or two of water out of the sponge in the filter before the tampon, but never any moisture in the tampon itself. With my current booster (Altaros) I added multiple moisture blow outs and silica beads between the shop compressor and the Altaros (so on the low pressure side) that I never had with the Shoebox, and have never gotten even slight moisture in the tampon filter when running the Altaros and pre high pressure moisture removers.

Fast forward to today...
I caved and bought the new GX Filter. Sweet little filter setup. I've been using it a couple weeks now.

I get a massive spray of moisture out the bottom blow out on the GX when running the Yong Heng, even with opening the moisture blow outs on the pump itself every couple minutes.

I have run my Altaros for as long as 90 minutes without opening the GX pumps moisture blow out, and when I did STILL got nothing.

Couple conclusions....
The GX is amazing for getting moisture out of the high side of your fill process, if there's any moisture there to remove.
The booster method of filling, as long argued, removes a very large percentage of moisture from the low pressure side, before it ever makes it to the booster.
When you ran the Altoros with the GX filter, did you still use the pre-filter set up on it? I so, the water vapor would have already been removed . . . or at least ~98% of it . . .

It sure seems to be a great filter either way!

What was your first Pellet Rifle?

I still have my first one, Slavia 618 .177 that must have been about 70 years ago. It still shoot 7.9 gr pellets at 375 fps with everything original excepting the rear sight elevation screw. h, I improved the leather breech seal. I can't imagine how many pellets went down that barrel but has to be far more than 10,000.View attachment 582998
That was my first as well! Paid 15 bucks for it brand new 😁

3D Printed 3L Bottle Cradle

very cool...was it difficult to learn how to do this?
I watched a tutorial on YouTube, and paused and replayed until it finished my cradle. There is a learning curve but it’s kind of fun figuring out how to accomplish the various tasks. Old dogs can learn new tricks.

Say hello. What state or country are you from?

I have been a member of AGN for 8 months now. When I read a thread I look out of curiosity on where the members are from. I am amazed they are from all around the world. How about we say hi and state your country or state to show how widespread this airgun sport is and crosses all boundaries?

I will start with Hello from Colorado, USA

Amazon SCBA adapter for refill

I picked up a Scott 45m 4500 PSI SCBA tank from a local fire department. It is currently certified but expiring in the next month or so.

I'm looking for an adapter to convert it so I can fill my PCP Kalibur Cricket gun. I have a cheapie compressor. Does anyone know if the Amazon Fill Station Kit, PCP SCBA Fill Station Refill with 60cm Microbore Hose 0-4500PSI Charging Connector Adapter Air Rifle kit any good? I don't want this exploding in my face. Not many options and this a long with other options from eBay all look the same..

If you started now?

I wouldn’t change a thing. Every gun I have owned has been a source of experience and learning.
I am in the process trinmming the herd to 3 that will cover all my uses.
Looking back I wish I had bought the scuba compressor earlier but until you know the hook is firmly in your lip it is a lot of money. Well worth it of you are deep enough into the rabbit hole.

Spanish vs US made .22 CPHPs

I think Walmart's website has a price of $14.99 and I am sure Amazon is asking that much but it is a delivered price. I am sure they used to cost less but I think $8 is actually a good price these days. If they still have some next time I am at that Walmart I will probably buy a few more. I would not buy Crosmans for $15 in today's market, I've seen JSB 18s for that much but if I can get them for $8 I'm interested. If I could find them for $6 I'd really stock up. But for serious target work I will have to either sort them or just switch to JSBs (or FX).
