GX CS2 cylinder head getting hot. Do I care?

Yeah I checked and something like 30 min run time recommended. But I still do 1/2 fill from empty on my rifles. It let's the pump cool and I can check for leaks. If you're like me, I don't fill from empty all that much so it's a minor inconvenience, that helps save the compressor.
I think that more comments that include both how and why will add much to everyone's understanding.

Spanish vs US made .22 CPHPs

I guess now that these went the way of the dodo, we will see more people selling $6.70 tins of Crosmans for $10+ each on the classifieds. Who knew cheap pellets would be a possibility for profit.

You mean like this guy?? :ROFLMAO:

What was your first Pellet Rifle?

My first air rifle was the Daisy spittin image Winchester lever action bb gun. I was 10 years old at the time. One day after hitting a grey squirrel in the chest and watching him jump around and run away I vowed to buy a more powrful air gun, So in 1966 after lookign thru Boys Life magazine ads I ordered my first blue streak sheridan. Oh boy did that gun clean up!! Dad ended up smashing it to pieces after finding out I snuck it out from the locked cabinet to hunt in a NYC park.

In the same thread you mentioned modifying the thimble on the Vet1- 177
I could probably handle that on a spare thimble, unless it too is hardened
Is it worth doing the thimble without reducing the air passage with your straw method?

So Damn Hot!!

That's HOT! During the summers here in Texas I typically only venture out to shoot in the morning.

This summer has been rather mild compared to last (in which we already had 30+ days of triple digits).

I've been saving this picture for August, but your post seems appropriate!

I believe this is a day one slide from the Arizona Weather Forecaster training program.

Resources  Field target is an arms race price test

Today was a decent test. To be fair to the HFT-500. I shot the browning leverage for almost an hour sighting it in zero at 50 yards. Then I shot one card. Then I shot the card you see. The wind started to pick up on the second card . So I changed and shot ten shot with the HFT-500.
But this is the results. Tomorrow I will do the same thing but change the leverage for the Diana 48 compared to the HFT-500

Beeman  Beeman R-7 .20 cal rebuild….. results….?

I bought my .22 HW30 used. The numbers that I'm getting are very impressive compared to the ones that I'm seeing here. I haven't opened it up yet, but I plan to because it's a buzzer. It's an incredibly smooth and accurate rifle. Now I'm curious. 7 - 8 ft/lbs should be about right for a power tune. My PG4 fitted .177 is getting 9.5 ft/lbs

Doe down.. tex-rex 50cal

Never had blood from scope smack. Have seen several folks get that at ranges & hunters shooting uphill at steep angles. Handed out a few bandaids to both!
The question of shooting spots is the issue w/ the big bore stuff now just like firearms ( 35Rem/45/70 ish) . You have the same or close to same power as them and it can be a real concern w/ safety . Good job bringing it to the attention of viewers.

Skout  Everything Skout EVO and Epoch

@Tricky-Dicky I would put money on it being an o-ring issue. I wouldn't make any modifications until that's sorted.
So would I, however having already looked and not found anything IE o ring damage and I have already replaced some of the O rings with harder items I am not sure just what the cause is, I will be taking another look, but it's an odd one.

Daystate Leggero check in

I have been fence about this compressor for a few months now. Just cant decide between this one and their 220volt model. It’s about $700 more but produces breathable air and supposedly will last longer. (IDK) Just not sure if the extra money and work installing a 220V outlet is worth it? Also I cant transport the 220V model unless I know someone has the outlet for it.
I bought the 220 version because it charges tanks faster, the system wears less, and there is less maintenance cost. Plus, the adjustable shut-off is a big bonus.
