50 yards?

I think they lose a little bit of power over time. I had a Daisy 111 I sent to Dennis Baker to reseal and put in a new spring. He just did the reseal, and he got about 210 fps. I asked him to put in a new spring, and he got 249 fps. Granted, the Daisy 111 was about 60 years old, so I'm not sure if this is applicable to newer, more powerful springers. I don't think my 40-year-old FWB 124 had any significant velocity decline before I did some maintenance on it.

That's one thing about dry heat, it's hot but you're not just dripping wet. When it's hot and humid just everything sticks to you. Stay hydrated lol

I saw this on the rimfirecentral links. Right hand rule. Point your right thumb in the direction you want the POI to go. Your fingers will curl in the direction you need to turn the turrets to make it happen. This comes in handy if you've got an old, or cheap, scope.

Well, around the Gila river you're not gonna die of thirst but it's pretty dry elsewhere around here. I was actually surprised when I moved out here that there are some large lakes less than 2 hours away but if you were on foot trying to reach that lake, yeah you'd probably not make it lol. Here's my little town of Kearny with the Gila River just south of it.

Southwest Virginia here. Been in the upper 80's with 70+ humidity for most of the past 2 weeks. At work it's a PITA basically a warehouse with only a few fans that don't do much. Sweat all day and it just clings to you. I carry a 1gal jug of flavored ice water and it's empty by end of my shift.
I spent a summer in Florida once, that was real humidity. Clothes on the clothes line could hang all day and still be damp in the afternoon.

Previously I had a descending shot string of 15-20 fps over 30 shots.

I have that mold. My Avenger shoots the really good.

The main reason they only have a 15 year life cycle in the US is because of hydro testing CF tanks taking them to 7500 psi with water cracks some of the fibres and after three test's they start to fail. CF tanks should only be tested with Acoustic Wave machines.

But the digital is doing a lot more:
Most of what ZULUS does would normally require separate gear:

• Field recorder
• Remote viewing system

Yes, it’s heavier than glass—but every ounce is doing work. As far as distance, if you're using a pcp and from what i have seen here most Arnt pushing past 300-400 yards which the Zulus can handle easily

The sear screw doesn't usually adjust itself. If you didn't change it I would look closely at something else. The Rekord trigger normally has plenty of engagement to prevent a bump fire before the first stage is taken up. And you can see the engagement through the little window in the box. Is your first stage operating correctly? Some people adjust that (the screw in the trigger guard) too light and the trigger doesn't reset properly. I saw one where the spring under that particular screw was crushed and not working right.

This airgun jumps with a bipod and a rear bag pretty substantially for me anyway.
A friend shot it yesterday as well and commented on the jump.
I just use my weak hand (left in my case) to press downward on the top of the bipod where it attaches to the handguard and firmly press the butt stock into my shoulder like I may an HK 91 to defeat the delayed roller bolt jump common with many HK DRB rifles. Seems to work and I have ZERO desire to weight the rifle down with weights.

Technically yes they can, on a brand of your quality I wouldn't worry about it at all. Maybe a cheapo Walmart springer I'd worry, and my nitro piston leaked down

I just replaced the breech and buffer seal on this newly acquired FWB 150. 1968 model. The gun, spring and piston ring are like new. A lot of new springs these days seam of lesser quality. Why chance it. I’m not sure why you have spring twang. Won’t know till you get inside it. Congratulations, you have a beauty.

I was at Walmart earlier today biting oil for my pickup and looked at what they had for pellets. They had Spanish made 22 CPHPs for $8 a tin so I bought one. The American made Crosmans I have are domed but I shot a couple groups with both to see if the Spanish ones are usable in my 22 caliber Bullshark. My conclusion is that they are. I think the domed are a little smaller groups but not a lot different. The two top groups are domed, the ones beneath are the hollow points. The flier to the right on the 2nd hp group and the top hole on the 2nd domed group were both going faster than the other shots. Over 920 when the other shots were more like 915. So maybe light pellets. Still for plinking or short range pesting I think both will work. The outside of the 5 ring is 1 and 3/8 inches. Range is 30 yards.

I would not replace the spring. There's no load on the spring other than preload which isn't much. That would last longer than you'll live. I have lightly used BSA prewars twice as old and the springs are still fine. One runs almost 12 ft lb.
