Tuning  Umarex M1A1 Thompson Repair

Glad to hear I could help 🙂.
The donut … I wouldn’t give up on it just yet. If it registers off the smaller tube then then, yes, it could fall out of place if the smaller tube completely retracts. But what if it registers off the bigger tube? To do that, the donut would need to extend back over the larger tube for as far as possible … essentially a sleeve with a step to a smaller diameter at one end.
Just thinking out loud.

Rattler 357 with Rattler thermal

Finally, got time to play with the Rattler. Didn't know what to think, some say it's loud, well if you shooting faster than 970 yes its loud. Back it down some and its quite. Getting it ready to put some hogs down.
Im trying to make enough messages to get my pm turned on sorry for bothering you I can't figure out how to pm anyone or post hopefully you will reply to let me know if it went through sorry again for the inconvenience

GX CS2 cylinder head getting hot. Do I care?

I have run mine many times for 10-15 minutes at a time. It gets hot, I wouldn’t call it uncomfortable I guess. Still going strong after 1.5 years. I did replace the low pressure side seal on the piston even though it was still working good. The most apt thing for the heat to get to on that compressor is that low pressure ring. It’s cheap, readily available and super easy to change. All the piston parts are. I personally wouldn’t worry too much.

Huben  Shorty Holster

no I don't have a link for it.. he sent me a bunch of pictures and the video in a text message.. I don't know how to get it from text message to here?? but I'd be happy to try if someone can tell me how to do it..
or if you want, PM me with your phone number and I can easily forward it to you..

Permissions..

Lots of great advice given. I know it is definitely more difficult today I believe due to all the liability concerns. We definitely seem more sue happy as a society today. I would think it would be a bit easier for just pesting purposes vs big game hunting. You won’t be using firearms so hopefully that will put the owners at a little more ease. I would think there would be far less people looking to do pesting as opposed to big game hunting. Seems pretty much every land owner either deer hunts themselves or certainly has friends already doing it. That is much harder to gain permission for without writing a big check.

This is going to be one of those things you can take suggestions from here but really going to want to do some research. Today’s market is a bit of a double edged sword. It’s great in the fact you can get so much more for your money than you used to be able to. On the other hand there are so many scopes from numerous companies that are nearly the same thing that it can be overwhelming to decide where that smaller pot of required money should be spent. I will say in my opinion for plinking and general pesting 100 yards and in one can be well equipped for that 2-300 range. Really don’t need to spend big bucks.

Huben  huma reg in huben k1 .25

I would say 150- 170bar. With the Huma you will get faster recovery rate. But Huma reg. don't last long at higher reg. settings.
i’ve tried 170bar down to 150bar. faster refresh rate but lower standard deviation out the window. i’ve since brought the reg down to 120 and am able to achieve single digit SD.

This is the unit I bought: https://www.cvlife.com/products/cvlife-picatinny-green-red-laser-sight-for-rifle

The form factor was right as well as the price. I have been using it, or if I am not using it it is still on the bow.. last weekend I turned it on a few times Once for a nice Cubera snapper under the mangroves. Like I said, I am shocked it still works, that environment is not friendly to anything.
I have several lasers, none in that form factor. Red and Blue seem more tightly focused than my green ones. Dont know if it is inherent in the green or just an artifact of buying from AliExpress.

I owned several of their sub $50 scopes and for an air gun 50 yards or less they are fine. But i decided to try an FFP and went through a few Spina, which are not bad, then tried a BearSwift. The difference was stark.

But as you found out, they seem to make their hardware bullet proof. I know a lot of users here would never deign to purchase a CVLife. They are missing out on some outstanding quality.

SC Johnson Paste Wax Discontinued!

Being I live in a high humidity, high salt air arena here.. best thing I found to protect my powder burners has been "MaxWax" https://www.corrosionx.com/products/maxwax-tough-long-lasting-wax-coating

Been using it for years, a light spray on a microfiber, wipe on, let dry, buff out. Haven't has a speck of rust on my bluing since.

I do not own any of their scopes... BUT what I do own is one of their lasers, it is a flat unit that I bought to put on my Oneida Osprey for bow fishing.. I normally shoot instinctive but wondered about using a laser sight so I bought one.

This is the part that shocked me.. after being inundated with saltwater, washed in fresh water and used on a bow riser.. it has not given me a bit of trouble. I was expecting it to fail pretty quickly in the saltwater environment I shoot in.

Until you see them no one believes that CVLife BearSwift and BearMight ED 5-25x56 scopes are as good as they are. Crystal clear glass, tight turrets, 10 yard parallax.

BearSwift was $108 plus shipping on Alibaba. But with Tariffs over $200. BearMight 50-75 more.

N/A  What gun amazed you?

2018 I believe was the year. I told one of my friends that I am really interested in a different semi auto other than FX Monsoon(which I had owned 3 of them). He said that I should try a Huben K-1. So, after talking with Kelly at Krazy Kool Airguns, I purchased a new 2018 Huben K-1 .22. Kelly told me on the phone that I will sell all my other airguns because I will be amazed at the Huben. I remember that conversation and I laughed at him. I told him that I have owned and shot a many of airguns, and seriously doubt it. Man, was he right.
I absolutely love everything about the Huben K-1. It feels the void in every category for me.
Since 2018, I have purchased several Huben K-1's. I still own 2 Huben K-1 today, 2018 with a TJ barrel setup to shoot slugs and a 2021 setup to shoot Jsb 18gr.
Absolutely LOVE the Huben K-1.
