NOE Bullet Molds, Al's Retiring

Yea, I just called him. Wished him all the best. I was hoping he would be doing 1 more run, but they have already put all the machines to bed 😔
I was hoping he would be able to make a run of the .45 diablo style pellet. Unfortunately that design never made it into production. My only hope now is trying to snag one of Tom's designs. The only issue would be sourcing pins. Sad to see another US manufacturer closing shop, but such if life.
Do you know if he’s going to sell or maybe has already sold his equipment to someone who may start them up again? It would be great if the mold line could continue.

New squirrel feeder = busy backyard

I made a squirrel feeder out of 3 inch PVC and screwed it to a tree about 50 yards from my patio where I normally shoot from. Well, the word has gotten out and it’s become a hangout for the locals. The squirrels are really enjoying it and I don’t mind the cardinals getting something to eat but I’m not going to feed the crows.
This morning I gave them a little lesson with the .25 Krait shooting 25 gr. At 930.

New to Me Chinese Air Rifle

Hello!
An update on the B4-1... the person who gave it to me finally found the booklet (see the pictures).
I did a repair by myself: the spring on the"bear trap" that pushes the safe up, was cristalized and when I tried to tighten it was broken. I tried to make a new one unsucsessfuly. So, i decided to change the way it works, by adding another spring using the lever pivot to hold it, and the soring keep the lever up, working as a safe to avoid the piston to get accidentally closed. Hope the drawing helps to have it better explained.

HW30 Galling

FWIW, Maccari from time to time sells this bit that works the same way:

It looks like a heavy version of an essay folder binder strip, LOL, if ya remember those from your school days. it simply creates a smooth bearing surface that sticks up a hair beyond the edges of the cocking link. You just pop it into the link, no need to drill holes or create a roller, etc. It would be easy enuff to fabricate something similar yourself too.

I've used them a couple times and they work great, but most of my double-link HW's are fine without it, too.
How many rounds can you put through it before you swap in a new piece.

Tequila Gun PCP

I'm a bit concerned of how the holes feel on the cheek. But that's me.

You could sleeve it with a pre-cut foam.

What’s the length of pull?

Is it a Picatinny/1913 mounting?

Moreover, what’s the tube size and does it have the same outside diameter as the honeycomb section’s?

Thanks 👍

Huben  GK1 performance mods

They could develop an entire product line using the GK1 as a base... Then add swappable barrel and stock options...pus other add ons .. it's a perfect platform... I would like a longer and shorter barrel option for my GK1 and .30 cal option... No one I know ever got the .177 why do they even make that?

Vortex Venom 3-15.. hmm

I purchased the MOA version to try out based on Joe's review ( Cyclops) some time back..
I had read some people having issues with the 5-25 with maybe not the greatest glass..
Well I can say for sure that the 3-15 x 44 that I got is an extremely clear picture all the way to 15 with very good ranging and focus that isn't too finicky.
Yeah the turrets a little mushy compared to others, but the crystal clear image more than makes up for it..
I have never had a Vortex but had to try.. Glad I did.

HW/Weihrauch  Ok Weihrauch Airgunsmiths, I need some advice... HW35 Barrel Latch Worn

...so what? He has to tap the barrel down as on any other Weihrauch break barrel. The barrel does not flop down by itself?...
Unknown

He will be back to clarify, I am sure.
From his original post, I believe that it just bugs him that it is not 100%.

Barrel latch will not hold.
Still serviceable, but not 100% up to snuff as far as breech lock up?
