RAW Rapid  LRT stock or chassis?

I have a .25 LRT in an MPA chassis like @woogie_man pictured above and a .30 LRT in a black laminate stock. I mistakenly sold my original R.A.W. chassis and missed it so just bought one from another AGN member. I like all of them - just depends on what you are comfortable with and what you are doing - field shooting, benchrest, etc. Bottom line is that the HM1000X LRT action is great!. The barrels are great! And it's an air rifle I don't have to constantly work on, replace o-rings, tune, fine tune or anything else that takes away from shooting time and pleasure. Oh yeah - also accurate as hell!

Vortex Venom 3-15.. hmm

I purchased the MOA version to try out based on Joe's review ( Cyclops) some time back..
I had read some people having issues with the 5-25 with maybe not the greatest glass..
Well I can say for sure that the 3-15 x 44 that I got is an extremely clear picture all the way to 15 with very good ranging and focus that isn't too finicky.
Yeah the turrets a little mushy compared to others, but the crystal clear image more than makes up for it..
I have never had a Vortex but had to try.. Glad I did.
Any idea where the venom line stands as compared to Razor, Viper, Diamondback, Crossfire?

HW/Weihrauch  Ok Weihrauch Airgunsmiths, I need some advice... HW35 Barrel Latch Worn

...so what? He has to tap the barrel down as on any other Weihrauch break barrel. The barrel does not flop down by itself?...
Chuck's right. I'd like the rifle to perform as it should. I shoot from a bag for the most part. If I plop the rifle down on the bag a little too hard, the barrel will break open slightly. I'd prefer that the latch worked properly. It's still very accurate, but it's a piece of mind sorta thing.

Chambers….but maybe not for 1770.
Of course the new compression tube would cost more than the rifle is worth.
Ooops.... That would be an early model indeed. 🤣 I think that I've got a way to repair it. I was just hoping that someone had come up with an easier way.

SC Johnson Paste Wax Discontinued!

Just found out Johnson Paste wax that I have used on the metal and wood of my guns for years has been discontinued. Such a great product stopped with no reason to the public. Not advertised for guns but one of the best gun finish protectants on there. Was sold in a big can at about $6 in stores. Now leftover cans going for $100 on EvilBay! WTF!!!o_O
Been discontinued for years..........
I have a can of McGuires Gold Class Carnuba and Trewax. I use the Trewax on the inside of my barrel. Seems to work very well.

Huben  huma reg in huben k1 .25

Generally, @Motorhead would be right on this, but I bought the Huma reg for mine and it refreshes plenty fast enough for good semi-auto shooting - I practice double and triple taps sometimes with mine and there is no issue or loss of speed. Note that mine is a .22 shooting at about 34 FPE, so it might not be enough for a .25 at 70 FPE.

One thing that Huma does on the regulator for the Huben (at least on the reg they sent me) is they leave out any restriction screw to give a faster refresh rate. It works great, but it does lead to the delrin disc wearing out (leading to some creeping) a bit faster than on my other slower refreshing Huma regulated guns.

I am very happy with it, and it solved the issue I was having - my K1 shoots great at lower pressures down around 100 bar, but the factory regulator is not as stable as the Huma regulator down there. I get less ES with the Huma regulator than I do with the factory one, but I had to give up the external adjustability to get it.

If you order one, I'd definitely order some spare discs for it as you will likely need them eventually. You can turn the disc over and use the other side, but eventually you will probably want to replace the disc.

I wish I could get some of those discs made out of PEEK . . . .

Tuning  Umarex M1A1 Thompson Repair

It’s interesting that you slowed the action on the MP40. I hadn’t noticed that mine seemed unusually fast. The M1A1 on the other hand definitely is. When it’s on auto I’d guess it’s firing at around 1700 rpm.

The firing behavior of it is what makes me like the MP40 more.

I’ve got the Umarex M1 carbine too and while I’d give that top marks for realism, it’s not half the shooter of either of the others.
