Gx filter is here

Why is it when I release the pressure from the two bleed valves on my GX filter ( lower first, then upper) then open the bleed valve on my compressor I get no release of any pressure at all from the compressor?
Because you... released all the pressure! (Opening the bottom filter valve or the compressor bleed valve is the same thing, in terms of pressure, but NOT waterl). I open the compressor valve first, then the bottom filter valve, and then the upper filter valve. This way, I empty the compressor of water (primary separator), then the bottom of the filter (secondary and less water), then the pressure from the top of the filter to the gun/tank (no water).

I'm familiar with the Komplete but I intend to shoot more than would be cost effective in that platform. I can see how it would be great in certain situations though. I know the Daystate Huntsman in the classifieds would be a good one to start with but it'll probably be gone by the time I become legal, lol.
There is a conversion to bottle for the Komplete. Then it is just a PCP rifle.

FX Archery Chronograph vs. cheap Chinese chronograph.

I shot the FX Archery Chonograph simultaneously with the cheap Chinese chronograph. It was pretty messed-up looking, I should have taken a picture. Shots according to the FX were from 917 fps to 863 (80 shots, fell off the reg). The Chinese chrony thought the shots were slower by a little more than a percent.

Having the Chinese chrony around scared the FX into its best behavior; it didn't miss a shot.

Tequila Gun PCP

You could sleeve it with a pre-cut foam.

What’s the length of pull? 14 inches

Is it a Picatinny/1913 mounting? There are to types one picatinny and other for the TequilaGUN it is mounting removing the beaver tail.

Moreover, what’s the tube size and does it have the same outside diameter as the honeycomb section’s? The diameter of the carbon fiber tube and honeycomb 3D printer part is 3/4”.

Thanks 👍

Quietest, and most accurate

IMHO - Skip springers and go directly to PCP. It is a very smooth transition from rimfire to PCP. Better accuracy too. I spent many $$$ on Fine German Springers over the last 40 years and even my most modest PCPs will out shoot and out power them all.
In my hands, even the lowly 2017 Benjamin Maximus drops rabbits in their tracks compared to the back-handspring inducing HW 50. NO CONTEST at all. Fire away...I don't care.

Caldwell Precision Turret

How many of you run the Caldwell Precision Turret? I’ve been using mine for a while now and really appreciate the concept—solid platform, adjustable height, and great for blind setups or bench shooting. That said, I’ve never been a big fan of the stock clamp. It does the job, but the lock/unlock action is a bit binary, and there's not much room for micro-adjustment or fluid repositioning.

I recently swapped it out for a WEYLLAN ball head and it completely changed the feel. Way smoother movement, quieter transitions (huge for coyotes), and the dual-knob setup lets me dial in tension exactly how I want it. Plus, it returns to zero reliably after angled shots, which helps in tight shooting lanes.

Anyone else mod theirs? I'd love to see how folks are optimizing theirs for field use—whether it’s clamp swaps, stealth upgrades, or plate mods.

Quietest, and most accurate

I've been shooting and hunting all my life, but never with airguns. Do you advise starting with a simple break barrel rifle, or jumping right into PCP with all the related paraphernalia?

Main use would be for general plinking and target shooting, marksmanship training, perhaps some small pest control and light hunting. I'm not a competitive shooter, but accuracy is important and would like to be able to consistently achieve 1" groups at 30 - 50 yards with practice. I prefer classic looking rifles over the modern chassis/bullpup/AR styles. I also need back yard friendly noise levels, and this might be the most important thing. It needs to be as QUIET as possible. Cost isn't the biggest concern, but is a factor. I know break barrels are simpler and cheaper. But what is the quietest and most accurate without making a huge commitment?
All good advice so far ,,,, confused yet? I've had a Marauder, yes quiet & accurate . Handle like you're holding a 2, no a 3x4 ! I have a BSA R TEN , beautiful, accurate & quiet. Used to be a 4 figure gun that went down to 3 figures ( I bought it then) , I believe it's been replaced w/ R 12. Now have 3 AirMaks Katrans, 4
figure guns also but on sale at UA ( moving sale) ,EXCELLENT gun ,quiet, great trigger ,chassis type gun. Yes ,you'll need a compressor , or tank, or hand pump.
Yes , I have them all( and multiples of some). I have one springer, but if you go that route , HW something ( #'s) is a no brainier. OH & welcome to the [ stampeding] herd !

Classic style rifle. What would your choice be?

I just checked again. If you click on .22, Dark Wood, and 330mm, it should show "Available". The other versions in .177 and .22 in regular wood stock appears to be out of stock or says to call for availability.

The BSA R10 has always been on my list of guns to own someday. It has a bottle but not a burden of a bottle. Do a search of the R10 on here. I know several guys who have had them and discussed the gun. I’m sorry I can’t remember their names right now. I have a BSA Ultra SE and it’s a quality piece, comfortable ergos, and exceptionally accurate. If the guy hasn’t messed with that R10, you might want to jump on it if it’s priced right. The guys who have left their R10’s alone seemed happy.

Crosman 622 trigger upgrade question

I did the same thing made a pin to keep everything in line, that worked ok. I had the most trouble with the mechanism that rotated the magazine the rear spring is kind of pain in the #### to keep in place while it assemble the the two halves. I was fortunate that the rifle had just been sitting for the past 20 odd years with very little or no use other than dried out "O" rings wasn't too bad. I looks cosmetically like new.
