What springer did you shoot today?

I don't think you suck my God I hope when I'm 79 I'm still alive maybe I will be. I just lost lost 132 lbs down to 223.
IMHO That is a great card. I don't want anyone to feel sorry for me by saying this but I fell off my bike broke 2 ribs still got up went for that ride. I have a hernia waiting to be scheduled for surgery on that. Can't even pick up a airgun right now , and can't ride my bike all because I lost my balance.
It's hot here too , but very low humidity.
You a tough old man to be shooting in 106 temp. The rifles we have will outshoot us , and I wiggle too much OV
I suck because the target say right on it "you suck " if you do not stay inside the black . IT is originally 8x11 target i reduced it to the size you see and pasted them on one sheet .
P.S> I ride a recumbent Trike , no balance needed , great fun

Airgun Technologies  Vixen 2 short .22

Nice looking rifle. For the size of the shroud on those seams like a miss being loud. Honestly they should have made it into another air tank. I don't understand the purpose of that size unless it's doing something real special.

The FX guns that use the shroud as a tank (drs, leopard) are way more loud because they lack a shroud for the air to disperse.

The bigger the shroud the "quiter" it should be.

N50 at 100 “In The Rings” Slug Challenge

Thanks guys for the input!

I’m at a pretty consistent 900-910 range with the AEA 45g. I turned up the HS a bit for the 50.1g, but I can back it down to 870 fps range and try again with my Lefoto TriPod next time.
I wasn’t suggesting to lower velocity, I’m only suggesting to back off on hammer to see if the velocity remains basically the same while reducing air use. If velocity starts to drop immediately, I’m not sure what the next step would be for the fx, as I’m not familiar with the platform.

Once you figure that part out though, other questions will arise. Hopefully someone with that particular platform will chime in. If it truly takes a long dwell (which creates more muzzle blast), there are other things to check.

As a general rule, higher reg pressure will create the same energy/velocity with a shorter dwell. This creates a higher initial pressure in the barrel but a lower muzzle pressure due to the fact the AVERAGE pressure would remain the same to develop the same energy/velocity.

An inefficient gun creates excess muzzle blast (wastes air). You can calculate efficiency by knowing how many shots, avg. energy, pressure drop in reservoir and volume of reservoir. You could then get an idea of how efficient your system is. If it is reasonable, you may not have a tuning issue and the gun may just have more ‘perceived’ noise and recoil.

Filling Benjamin Marauder w/ compressed air

not that I have any experience doing it but I would hand pump befor I let the gun get very low on air. Where does your brother fill his bottle?
That is the most convenient way to fill a PCP. (scuba tank) as the marauder has a 3000 psi max fill you dont even need a C/F bottle, aluminum will due.

A coyote trying to get into my coon feeder

Other than chipmunks, most other varmints get a pass from me, including the groundhogs infesting my neighbor's porch that sometimes come into my yard and drive my dogs bananas ... unless they are sick/injured.

I've dropped a whistle pig and a possum in my backyard with my 9mm, because the possum was sick and the ground hog was crippled when my dogs got to it before I could.

Filling Benjamin Marauder w/ compressed air

I bought the hand pump which is the most obnoxious thing in the world to fill this rifle with. My brother uses a scuba tank. Is there something semi affordable and convenient in between these two options
These compressors will fill your gun, but they won't fill a SCBA tank.

If you want to be able to fill guns and tanks you need.

Air guns : An addiction or an expensive hobby

So 2.5 years into this I have a TX200, 2- Diana 75s, Walther LGU, FWB 300s, Diana 54 in .22, all with scopes of at least 20x. Largely financed by selling 1 centerfire benchtest rifle and 60x scope. No need to spend hours daily reloading every day as I cut centerfire matches by over half, very minimal cleaning, pellets roughly 20.00 per 500 as opposed to custom centerfire bullets at $500.00 or more per thousand and powder at $50.00 per pound plus all the work prepping brass and a dime for each primer.....this is much easier on me and my wallet. Remember folks, your not taking it with you. How many famlies have you seen broken up over what someone left behind. I consider this sport a bargin......and great fun as it's ever challenging. Enjoy it and quit micro managing.
Amen brother and agreed 100%

American Air Arms  Any skilled machinist out there?

That sure is what caused the damage. If you cant get a replacement lower from him then send me a message and I can make the lower for you. I just made some barrel band for another forum member and he is very happy with them. Here are some of the custom parts I make.

Those are some beautiful parts you have there. I wish I had the skills and tooling to make my own parts.
If I could I’d be building my own rifles. Something resembling a Theoben block, flush fit magazines, picatinny rail on receiver, biathlon type reloading. Cassette trigger group from a 700 Remington and a full chassis that take AR parts.

Sorry didn’t mean to highjack.
