Taipan  Taipan Slash first tuning report.

So far with my 22 550 barrel slash, I’m shooting 27.5 gr .217 NSA slugs at 910ish fps down to just about/above 120ish bar. .218 don’t fit the slug mag and I haven’t tried putting it in the pellet mag. So far the gun has been good with me hitting clay targets at 72 yards with iron sights. Regarding the semi auto function, you can’t just let off and shoot rapidly; you can pull about every second, but shooting faster than that can cause the mag not to cycle. (as far as how my gun is set. Not sure if that’s adjustable)
I believe the the indexing happens only when there is a pellet in from of the valve to allow it to bounce back air?
I know .218 do fit very well in the pellet magazine and depending on what I find, may end up going with them.
Not a bad thing as then I could buy the same .218 ammo for 3 airguns .
I know you have bare sighs but can you even tell if it's grouping at 72?

Huben  Can anything outslug the Huben K1?

I cannot speak for slugs I haven't put them through mine yet. I've spoken to several people who've shot other semi-automatic air guns. I honestly think the Huben is king it's so reliable easy to use the only downside that doesn't have a removable magazine. If you're ever in Massachusetts and you want to shoot mine we can meet at New England air guns. I went on a recent iguana hunting trip in Florida I was just throwing the iguanas it was great. Most of the guys have shot almost every type of gun and hands down they all said hubin was the best. Additionally, before I bought my air gun I read hundreds of posts and everybody steered me towards the huben and it's been the best thing. I'm going to be ordering some slugs so I could let you know at some point how they work
From Massachusetts as well. Where in Florida did you go iguana hunting? I go to south Florida in the winter and wanted to go iguana hunting this year

FT & JSB 13.43's?

....The poly barrels are amazing and 20cal has a killer BC.

Too bad the latest LW 20's have been throwing 1" groups at 30 yards.

Yes, and yes.
1:36 slow twist poly with .177/10.34s at 920ish, or .20/13.73s @ 800ish. Both are mui bueno.

One possible option is to repurpose one....the .20 barrel in my USFT was originally in an Air Force Condor. Yes, still LW, but perhaps AF orders them spec'd differently or something. Or perhaps it's just as simple as barrel to barrel variation and I got lucky to find a good one.

HW/Weihrauch  MK1 HW77 Front Sight Assembly Question

Correct, three frontsight units. The current one by far the best. Hoping to cure without having to pull it off. If I have to remove then I‘ll look at drilling and tapping for set screw like the current version. There’s plenty of room but the metal is soft so I have concerns about it holding up. Advice from Ron and A. G. R. is usually pretty solid.

CHEAP, plentiful targets 🎯 at Walmart, NOT in Sporting Goods

Ive used the " dot " stickers till they double in price . A Sharpy is cheap these days ..lol

I'd thought about those, but decided on the ones I did, because my grandfather taught me to "imagine a small button on a deer or whatever, and aim for that." That way even if you miss the "button," you still get a solid hit on the target.

This was years before I ever heard the term "Aim Small." And the small 1/4" hole lets me aim 'smaller' than I would aiming for the whole dot.

FX barrel tensioner

The tensioner block may not jive with the trigger block of the M4 iirc. I have one on my m3. I might suggest the carbon harmonic shroud . They look good but add length and weight, which wasn't for me on a 700mm at the time. The tensioner significantly changes the barrel harmonics tendencies too. If you're not doing high power slugs with an abnoxious shot sequence, I might steer people away from it unless they're suffering barrel whip.

Attached Pic was a remachined carbon shroud over carbon tensioner. The carbon shroud does a great job with noise absorption too. Mines an m3 and I know the tension kit fits that architecture.

Love what you have done to your M3. Where can I take a look at this carbon shroud?

Airgun Technologies  The Future of Springers – Are We Still in the Game?

The way I see the great springers.....they are the true survival rifles.....when all goes to turds, you can't take a PCP.....totally useless; however the good ole Springer will be with you for the journey, anytime, anywhere and at a moments notice! That and a good knife!

Diana  Diana 34...What a difference!

Brian: If you have a .177, try JSB Exact Monster Diablo 13.43gr pellets. It has the weight of a .22 but flat shooting like a .177 and accurate as the dickens.
Thanks for the suggestion. I've considered getting some of those for other guns with high power. I certainly will now. The heaviest I have is 10.5 baracuda hunters.
