Daystate  AZ tuned Daystate LR90 help needed.

Daystate LR90 started leaking out the barrel.

Anyone have any idea how you split the reg/plenum from the valve? I tried clamping between wood blocks and using a wrench in the flats on the reg. Didn’t budge.

It was built by AZ. I would love to go back to non regulated. Can I just remove it?

Also, any id on the reg? Is it a Lang?

Rest of the rifle if anyone wants to see pictures. I think Don Walker at Beeman was the one to originally do the mating of the LR90 to the FWB stock back in the day. AZ tuned and regulated it around 2015-2016. I added the lead to the stock when I got it.

Does it get any better than this?

Im another that could use some of that cool breeze. 91 with a feel like factor of 100View attachment 579419
We're at 95°F, "feels like" 109°F. Nice offshore breezes...still HOT.

I love sitting on my front porch...but today has been "stay in the A/C!"

Daystate  How long does Daystate support its electronic components before 'killing' the support?

Curious: When did Daystate introduced its first electronically equipped PCP? And is it still supporting that model's electronics? (i.e. replacement parts.) Or did it kill support? If Daystate killed support, how many years after introduction did it kill support?

This matters as there's chatter about electronics becoming obsolete and support dropped. The mechanical parts can last decades so the electronics support matters.

Thanks
I’d call AOA and ask directly or send Daystate an email via their website

Daystate  Blackwolf owners discussion

How is the 28” barrel working for you?
I don’t have the 28”
to date I just helped someone setup a .177 with the 17” barrel for field target but after watching the exceptional performance of his Blackwolf, I wouldnt mind owning one in .25 for EFT.

Have you found that “ One Airgun”?

In about a two and a half year stretch I think I went through close to twenty airguns. FX, Daystate, Air Arms, American Air Arms, RAW, all upper tier airguns.

First one was a .25 Marauder, then a .25 FX Wildcat, then from there it was about every 6 weeks or so buying “the perfect” PCP to find it. I believe my search ended at two rifles, AAA Evol .22 and the AAA Paradigm .30. Those two rifles checked every box, they were outstanding in every way, for me.
I did pesting and plinking and was totally satisfied with their performance and quality.
If only AAA made a.177 🤪

HW/Weihrauch  Weihrauch HW 100kt .22

The Weihrauch catalog and the various distributor websites are very confusing. You mentioned having a 410 mm barrel. Exactly where are your measuring points, from the breech end of the barrel or the receiver face? And to the end of the threaded muzzle or the end of the moderator? These may sound like dumb questions, but the various measurements I see are simply confusing. IMO, the barrel length is measured with the barrel removed from the receiver, and the moderator removed from the barrel, from breech end to muzzle end.

A tank question for the HS science & math teachers out there.

What would be more net efficient?:

A single large tank or multiple smaller tanks of equal volume?

Let's exclude stop/ startup run time & other interuptions such as bleeding seperators, etc. Maybe using electrical use as an input & the net number of gun fills acquired from the tanks as the product.

Will the smaller tanks depressurize to an unusable point sooner thru use than the big tank?
From a maintenance standpoint the single tank but it depends on how many and how often you are filling other bottles

Does it get any better than this?

Setting on the back porch, squirrel shoulder call in hand. Finally a cool breeze blowing through. And I'm getting an answer back from that fat gray!!! Life is good boys.
It only gets better if you know how to dress out the squirrel and cook it

shut off and bleed valve

Put a valve and bleed at each end of the hose/filter assembly?

I highly recommend getting a bottle whether it be paintball with a chinesium fill station or a chinesium scba. You don't have to wait, you already have a large store of pre conditioned air.

I've built a regulated manifold that allows two guns to be tethered up to an air source simultaneously, my buddy and I usually shoot all day off 1 enormous bottle I came across, no regulator needed because specifications were in line with our fill pressures.
MY biggest gun takes less than 1.5 minutes to top off , small compressor . I do not own any bottle guns really do not like the look is all . 3 hours drive to any dive shop that might fill a tank 9 t5hey already said no one time .

Diana  Diana 34...What a difference!

One thing I did notice my elevation on the scope is almost maxed out, i dont really like that. I ordered the rws mount with droop compensation. Apparently from reading these seem to benefit from that mount. Some have suggested bending the barrel...I have all sorts of presses in my shop so sure I could bend the barrel but that sorta scares me.
Nope, don't be scared. Plenty of threads on this subject and is the way to go if the droop compensated mount isn't enough. Maxing scope elevation on that gun is a scope killer.

Diana  Diana 34...What a difference!

For a 30 year old rifle, it sure seems to be in great shape!
Thanks! It seems to be in very good condition. It has a date stamp of 08 95. I've had it a few weeks, came from Airguns of Arizona. Never dealt with them before, I'd recommend purchasing pre-owned guns from them.
