FT & JSB 13.43's?

I've been looking at the equipment used on FT match reports. I'm seeing a big move to the JSB 13.43's.

Can some tell me why are people moving to the 13.43's?

I'd imagine the drop would be larger especially past 50 yards making ranging more critical at that difficult ranging distance. So, what am I missing about the 13.43's?

Also, are the original 13.43's or the redesigns being used, or a mixture?
I’ve tested a variety of 10.x gr, 13.4gr and my two 20ft-lb FT rifles prefer 13.4 original monster profile.

I don’t care as much about small improvements in trajectory as I do minimal flyers at 45-55y.

Slugs are cool but would be unsafe in many locations, such as my club.

Help with Value of 1st Generation Benjamin Marauder Wood Stock

I found this Benjamin Marauder Beech wood stock in my late brother's belongings. It looks like it's never been used. Benjamin confirmed it's a 1st generation. It's 33" long. I would like to sell it, but I'm not a gun person, and have no idea of the value. It has one tiny nick in the wood (pictured). thank you...

Hatsan  Hatsan 95 trigger broken part?

Bought a Hatsan 95 a couple months ago. Went to shoot it earlier today and found this part coming out of the trigger assy. Not 100% sure on the name of the part. I believe it's #109 on the part diagram. What is the best route on resolving this? I prefer not to exchange the entire rifle as it seems to be accurate (I've read about bad barrels, etc) Thanks

Corbin press customer service not so good

called Corbin talked to Kelley to make sure i have all the dies for flat base boat tail and cupped
got the list together went on the site and ordered it, sent an email as i had a question about an ojive die
called 2 times answer machine day goes by i decided to call.
asked about the die then was told they don't have any 25 cal dies or any presses it will be 60-90 days.
i already paid for it the site did not say out of stock or 60-90 day wait neither did Kelly.
i said if that the case i will cancel he blows up on the phone pyramid don't have any i said i just got off the phone they have 4 in stock
when you make the other dies i will buy those later but for now the hollow point is just fine with dished base.
they don't have any blah blah blah i said cancel my order he continued to refuse to the point i said listen i no longer want your press
anymore or anything to do with your company your a sinking ship with that attitude then he says
15% re stock fee i laughed and said ya ok noot re stock fee for something you don't even have in stock that's fraud

Yong Heng after piston replacement

:) I am a large volume shooter and topping up 3 of these 14L bottles at a time of a work party.
The vibration meter battery died at about 68 hrs and occasionally coming up with some numbers ups and down, and can't care replacing it.
What is a total time on the compressor I don't know anymore, it works, and whenever the fill start slowing down I just replace the pistons right away and that is about ones a year at least. But I have four BNIB kits in my drawers for spares.
The last oil change I did last summer.
But I am watching the Temps very closely.
The Temp is a piston rings killer.

is this the big YH compressor for scuba tanks? these are looking more and more favorable as it seems there's quite a bit of parts support online compared with other compressor companies.

624 pumps 😱

In mathematical THEORY, a longer lever means less effort, but I sucked at math in school, so ... 😉

Interestingly enough, and that's the only reason I post this, although I HATED Math, my college entry exam Math score was my highest. I can only assume I ingested Math in REM sleep.

My next higher score was in Science, despite the fact the only science that interested me was Physics. That's because Physics is about things I can see, touch, feel and use; and therefore, relate to and (somewhat) understand. I consider Physics Reality; as opposed to sciences that relate to invisible things. 🫥

Point is I can assure you with some level of confidence that longer levers = greater leverAGE = less effort.

However, given my aversion to Math, I'll not delve any deeper into that equation. 😂

JSB Exact Premium .30?

So what’s the deal with these? I know a few shooters had them at RMAC. One (Justin Welch- 6th) in the top ten as far as I know.
Not much published as of today.
What is so “Precision” about them?
Anyone?
Looking at the package their claim of plus or minus .001 of a gram is what they are all about. Regular jsb pellets need to be pre sorted by weight for use in competition the tolerances are not that tight. Out of curiosity I just checked my .25 aea center punch pellets and they are within .001 g of each other.

Air Venturi  Interesting Avenge X shot string

Avenge X tube version. HN Field Target Trophy pellets at 20 gr. Reg set (I think) at 150B. Transfer port set to LO. Started at full fill of 300B and ended the shot string at 120B.
NH 20 gr TP lo.jpg

I have always questioned the regulator in this gun. I only plink at 25 yards in the backyard so no reputation or money is on the line here. When I set the reg, I degas and then slowly bring it up to 150B - that gives me good accuracy with the 25 grain pellets at 910 FPS - and leave it. When I go to shoot, the reg is always at 165B. This drops after the first shot but the regulator pressure is always dropping as I shoot. Today I wanted to see what would happen with the transfer port on low with the lighter weight pellets. 100+ shots were all hitting where aimed but doesn't the graph look like an unregulated gun where the first shots are low because the hammer can't overcome the pressure; then you hit a zone where things kind of flatten out because the drop in pressure gets the hammer happy; and finally the velocity falloff when the speed is just being dictated by the pressure.

With an SD of less than three over 100+ shots I'm not unhappy but it just doesn't seem like the regulator is working great or maybe not at all. Again, all I do is shoot at clay pigeons in the back yard and then keep shooting pieces until I have dust. Over this string every shot was hitting POA consistently so maybe I just shut up and forget about it. Using the HI transfer port setting with the 25 grain pellets I get the same kind of curve with a little higher SD and a 60 shot count before the velocity really starts to drop.

I'm just looking for any opinions. In my mind, regulation means a constant pressure to a fairly high degree at the plenum until the tank pressure gets below the reg setting and the velocity drops. I suppose this could also be some sort of a tuning thing but I've gone over that by adjusting to the knee and backing off a bit and I do see pretty good accuracy with decent SD numbers.

10.5gn made in Spain...hmmm

That skirt with the odd weight distribution will garuntee they suck. That's really too bad, I'm mad I gave away logs of cphp last year. I think crosman as a brand is going to be spiked by gamo.
Same here, i shouldve kept my old cphp stash and i gave them away also. Corporate assassination of the crossman brand. RIP crossman.

AEA CENTER PUNCH 18.3GR. 22CAL

Has any tried these pellets out in there avenge x. My barrel loves them surprisingly more than any others I've tried. Just curious.
I don't have the same gun, but aea pellets are the one of best on the market. They are very clean and consistent looking. I don't find any dings or dents. They shoot straight. I haven't weighed them but im guessing the tolerances are very close. They have a whole line of slugs now too, i just picked up some in .25

Shooting Airgun in residential neighbourhood

Man, I hope this works out for you..
I'm afraid that if I had neighbors that crawled that far up into my business I would actively seek options. I worked all my life so that I could enjoy the golden years doing what I enjoy doing... I'm not about to let that go.
The niehbor in question just moved from the neighborhood. Both times I was harassed he had people over so I stopped shooting and went inside and came back later after they left.
I discovered this by watching my shooting videos, and both occasions were a day prior to the police visits. So I'm pretty sure which neighbor it was now. The people with him may have been prospective buyer's and I was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
In the end it was my fault. I was shooting in my front yard from the front porch. The traps were hidden unless you were aligned with them. They may have been annoyed by the hits and associated noise? I don’t know because they never said a word, but they were right across the highway.
👍
