Niksan  I'm "learning" on the elf.

LOVE the AirForce utility platform. The easiest and simplest platform to modify. So few moving parts, especially under pressure. And oh do they like a plenum. No pesky poppet valve, transfer port or right turns. Just a straight shot from plenum to pellet.

High flow valve, heavy spring, heavy hammer, Huben Power Cricket MAX-ATH and a 24 inch barrel. You can get .22 Barracuda Match supersonic.
My max distance from back deck to chicken coop is 45ish yards, so I don't shoot far, just catch them cutting across outta the woods with my night scope, and hammer down lights out.

I shoot the 33 grain .22 for coyotes. Smacks them down like nobody's business! I just bought a .25 barrel for my other one, I thinking heavy on getting a mod for its bottle as well.

Chilling your tank before topping off

As I said in my first post, I think it would be great for somebody to bring out a new compressor designed along the lines of the the Shoebox. It would serve us well.

There was one, but it looks like it is no longer available.

Garmin vs Athlon Chrony

I waited and waited on a new chronograph. Once people started reviewing the models I chose the Garmin.

It does exactly what I need when I need it and it has been bullet proof so far.

I got a deal on Amazon with my prime points for the Garmin. I found a dealer selling it with a nice case and when the dust settled it cost me $175 with the extended warranty.

I would purchase the Garmin again even at full cost.

CHEAP, plentiful targets 🎯 at Walmart, NOT in Sporting Goods

Half the colors won't s show well in some conditions or backgrounds. I just buy 1000 count rolls permanent red dot stickers. Red shows great under all conditions. I find 0.5, 0.75 and 1.00" covers all my needs. I primarily shoot airguns at paper at 25 and 50 yards. I adjust the size of the dots to the distance and sighting system of the rifles. I also find decreasing magnification to shrink the aiming point works well. It gives me a smaller POA and reduces purpose tremor.

Agreed, but most show up well enough on cardboard backing with proper lighting.

I use the colored dots for casual shooting. Will look for those rolls that you mentioned.

Most of the time I draw a target grid on (cereal box) cardboard using a rafter-square and Sharpie marker. Takes less than a minute to draw and proves a useful reference for my tuning notes.

Hatsan  Hatsan 95 trigger broken part?

I homemade a block to keep a break barrel fron "accidentally" decocking when cleaning or whatever

🥴 😉
Bob's timing was perfect as I had just got the idea to do one my self. The only problem is Bob's breach block is a work of art and a shame to get it full of cleaning fluids. 😆

I have a Condor that way, does make it simple.

Now this is some great advertising! H&N

Pellet bashing wasn't the intention of the ad, there's nothing wrong with them. The waisted projectile is a proven design that's been around for over 100 years. For many applications they are still the better choice.

The introduction of slugs has simply opened up a new, broad field of applications for airguns. You can easily get lost in it.

Slugs won't replace pellets, either. We would never make such a bold statement...
I never read the Ad in that light , and i think it was clever play . I was in the AD business for about 6 years . Quit because to much "done yesterday " late nights .

FX  FX King @ 100yds

I would check with chrono. Air rifles can have reg creep, etc. The King is a very tunable air rifle so by shooting with chrono you will know if you need to fine tune it. When I tune my air rifles granted not slugs. I am using the garmin the whole time shooting groups to find most accurate node of fps. I don't look at SD or ES just fps. When the group shrinks I note fps and start going up or down from there until group open up and note fps. Going by up in down in fps gives you that window that you know to stay in.
