Events  2025 Oregon State Field Target Championships and AAFTA GP

I had a good time. It was a hard course. The close shots seemed harder than the far ones with their tiny KZ. It was great of the Airgun Oregon team to put on. As usual, I learned a lot from everyone.

Special thanks and my kidney to @Motorhead for fixing a leak on my pistol. It was educational to watch and listen. Mucho thanks!

HATSAN SAD

I was just at Midway USA , and read a review on the Hatsan Factor Sniper Long. The guy bought one , and had to return it to Hatsan as it was factory defective. Not long ago when I first joined here I read about the bad Hatsan customer service. I therefore never purchased a Hatsan because of that . I feel for this guy at Midway USA he returns his rifle after dishing out over a grand 4 months ago , and nothing. He is only one to review there.
People that don't belong to this Airgun Nation forum are getting bad business with Hatsan. Should we as a Nation turn our heads , and look the other way ? HATSAN has a bad reputation for the worst Customer service in the world.
Yes the world not just customers in U.S.A. but everywhere they sell. Some people here say I got a good one because I had to return it to Pyramid Air 3 times untill I did. That guy did not know to buy from Pyramid. Why do our sponsors sell stuff from a place that has has such a bad reputation.? So many times I heard the same story Hatsan won't answer the phone , or return my e mail. I want to stand up for anyone in the world having been hurt dealing with this company.
I think we as a Nation , and our sponsors should inteven, and boycott them untill they improve there products, customer relations , EDIT QUALITY CONTROL , and stop the hurt on the little guy. IMHO it's nothing more than a slap in the face to see Hatsan products anywhere. OV.

Sefic carbon air tank inside damage

I did buy new Sefic carbon 4.7L air tank from europe at big company and i also live in europe.
Tank did arrive today with standard valve fitted on tank.
Tank is CE standards.

I was very lucky that did remove that valve on tank before i did fill it air.

Bottom part inside of that tank was something black and it not come out for shaking that bottle upside down.

I did look inside tank with endoscope.
Look like there is holes through that aluminium cover!

There is also lots off very small black dots.

That tank should fill with 300 bar air.
I dont know would it explode or what will happen if i was try to fill it 300bar max pressure.

I did send email that company where it did come and i still waiting answer.

So there is good always check inside tank after buying even new one.

Short range feeder defense (squizzers!) and the old man pulls-off the ACE!

Man!, my area of Arkansas has had a squirrel population boom. Visibly can see the feeders drained significantly faster these days. So went on the attack. My 10meter tools preformed admirably in the roll. Got four. three with the CZ / AA 200 T and one mighty satisfying Baikal MP-46m shot. target sights getting a lot harder to use (senior decline).

N/A  Webley Hurricane

Stevoo brings up a great point: springer recoil has two parts: first, an "equal and opposite" reaction to the piston's motion; then a jolt in the reverse direct when the piston comes to a stop.

With a "backwards" piston (Hurricane, Tempest, P1 / HW 45, etc.), the first part shoves the gun forward. Your grip hand is underneath, and acts as a fulcrum, rocking the muzzle down. The second part shoves the gun rearward, popping the muzzle back up.

This all happens so fast, you just notice the second bit when you fire the gun...but the pellet actually exits while the muzzle is shoved downward.

Knowing your equipment, and how to use it!

Justin Welch depicting the importance of proper support and knowing how to use it. First his Accu-Tac bipod rear placement with legs extended for a high elevation shot. Second his bipod forward legs shortened for normal elevation shot. Finally, removing the bipod and utilizing an Armageddongear bag to shoot off a cylindrical railing. Justin shoots for team Utah Airguns and is shown here with his FX Panthera at the Rocky Mountain Airgun Challenge 2025.
