624 pumps 😱

The Steroids produce more power at every pump stroke than stock pumpers. However, and the reason my post above is so confident in its predictions, EACH pump stroke is comparably more difficult than a stock gun. So assuming you (conservatively) imagine every stroke is 15% more difficult, you're not imagining hundreds of pump stokes 15% more difficult. 🥵

BTW, in most of my testing 14.3 JSBs produce more velocity and accuracy than Crosman 14.3s.

The image below is the last page of a chapter titled Benjamin PUMP! in my second book (copyright 2001), the chapter about my testing of a Steroid Benjamin 342, That chapter originally appeared in American Airgujnnner magazine. That rifle averaged 3/4" groups at 25 yards with peep sights. The reason the Crosmans are posted as 14.5 grains is because that's what they weighed on my reloading scales. Notice the last phrase in the chapter.

RAW Rapid  air leak in best fittings reg tester for non x tm1000 regulator

Let me ask you a question aside from the leak you have: doesn’t the original Theoben regulator require the V-shaped piece slid over it for filling the bottle and the pressure gauge of it? If so, there will be an air leak if you don’t use it on the tester, right?
if you take a look at the pic. where would it slide on between the reg and the reg tester..... thats where the leak is too and not between the reg tester and the buddy bottle

Compressor parts

I posted this previously in the tanks, pumps, compressors forum, but haven’t gotten a response. So, I will ask here, does anyone know where I can order piston rings for an Autoins compressor?
It looks like what some term "Tuxing clone".

I have repaired a number of these and own a Nuong version. If that is the case, parts and complete cylinders are readily available. I have ordered from AliExpress and keep a spare on hand for quick turn-around on repairs.

Does the cylinder look like this?

Diana  350 Magnum year Identification

to my knowledge they all came with wood stocks and if it is what you say they were made for one year only
View attachment 579504
Maybe I Made a mistake. The stock had the circle RWS insignia , and 350 Magnum in the stock. The wood grain patterns were very nice. I read where others had mistaken the deep reddish brown finish with a heavy lacquer finish for plastic. I only had in my hands for a few minutes. It passed my check list. #1 Could I cock it yes very easy , and easier than my .177 Air Tac.
#2 Great lock up no wobble very tight
#3 perfect crown yes. #4 nice rifling in barrel. I jumped down the layaway rabbit hole . I had no pellets , so I dry fired it once. Very powerful report..
I'll have it in October if all goes well. OV

The SPREAD = parallax wheels comparison

You mentioned that you tried an S6. By any chance was this the 5-30X? I like the Christmas tree reticle on that scope better than the simple reticles on the 10-60X. I just haven't heard many people using the 5-30X scope for FT so I have no idea how it ranges and what the wheel spread may be.
For HFT you will discover that the reticle lacks sufficient delineation for those dicey holdovers. It does range very well from 10-40 yards at 16X but is meh….after 40

GX is now the leader of budget compressors ?

I have had 5 or 6 Yong Hengs, one converted to closed-loop cooling to make it portable. I switched from SCBA tank to direct filling at the range, by means of a GX CS3 which is lighter and more convenient than SCBA tank, for my use.

My CS3 runs for hours each week, filling my PCP guns that I shoot continually for up to 7 hours in a range day.

I have had few issues, that have been minor like having to clean the outlet check valve, or the interstage check valves.

I have a Nuoge (Tuxing clone) for backup, and have serviced/repaired a number of other types of compressor, inclusing New Warrior.

I agree with your description "GX is now the leader of budget compressors ", although someone more informed may correct that.

I do recommend cleaning out and replacing the original grease from the compressor and gear unit on any of the small compressors, if you are mechanically inclined.

I had to cut down my Plum tree...I couldn't beat the fungus in my area..I new the deer love to eats it leave s..I drug it behind the house 🏘️..In 2 days all cleaned up 🙂.. Nature Recycling

What are you guys shooting?

Just these 9 cherries with bad seeds and 2 vagrant oranges at about 20 yards, a little less, using my .30 caliber Western Sidewinder
Those are really cool reactive targets. My area is loaded with blackberry bushes... I never thought of sticking them to a piece of cardboard, duh! Great idea, bugs and other critters clean up the mess. Thanks for sharing

A tank question for the HS science & math teachers out there.

Real life.

1. Charging a supply air tank to > 250 bar is a waste of time:

2. For the maximum usable volume from any size supply air tank you must minimize system losses:

a. Temperature losses during supply tank charging - cool the supply tank in a refrigerator before charging, to counter compression temperature increase and subsequent pressure decrease as tank cools.

b. Maintain the volume of bleed air to fill tank volume as low as possible.

3. Two small air supply tanks fit in my refrigerator, my one large one does not.

Compressor parts

Thanks to all respondents. I was able to find a new cylinder assembly for this unit. It will suffice until I can afford a much better compressor. Fortunately I do have a battery powered pump as a backup. I will look into a GX.
Do you mind posting the link for the cylinder? I need one as well...

In your opinion would this scope (DNT 7-35x56) be a good option for Air Rifle?

Slightly different reticles between brands, and DNT is generally regarded as featuring better glass and overall QC. Some scopes are more forgiving as far as their parallax ratings or usability at closer ranges by turning the magnification down. I had an Arken that was pretty much unusable inside ~18yds to my eyes.

In your opinion would this scope (DNT 7-35x56) be a good option for Air Rifle?

i understand. the scope is now on sale in a few places for $600 +/- like Amazon and Cameraland NY etc.

from my brief reading/review, it is pretty much the same scope as the Arken, however there are a few differences that might be important to some?

sound like the parallax issue might be a deal breaker for the airgun user.
