Shooting Airgun in residential neighbourhood

I think if it was an issue for me I would look up the local laws as opposed to asking an officer of the law.
You do know it's legal for them to lie, right?
I was just ready to comment on elh’s and glad you beat me to it. I don’t have a bad relationship with cops at all. Friends in the past and great respect for the stress of their job. But they’re just people
Asking a cop a law or town ordinance would be about a 20% chance of being correct. Surely someone will ask in a huff
where did you get such statistics? LIFE …
anyway I looked up town and county and state and could only come up with nearness to occupied dwellings

Help picking out regulator?

I try to google it and the market is flooded and when I search more specifics... all I get is warnings not to use PCPTUNES? Due to risk of blowout?

I am simply wanting to regulate a 4500psi benjiman I have had for like 4 years and never used... because it didn't come with a male to male and I forgot about it. As such, I decided I wanted to test it out and ordered a male to male (to charge it) and I would like to raise it to its highest 4500psi and regulate it to my texan ss @3000 psi

Price is a factor and quality/safety is also a concern. I would rather pay slightly more for safety/quality but I also am restricted and would not prefer to over-spend.

Looking for people's advice who has already had experience in this market. Thanks!

Diana  Diana 34...What a difference!

Thanks for the insight. I have heavier pellets. So around 800fps is the sweet spot? Thats what I was aiming for.
Under 800 fps is generally more accurate with a skirted pellet. Can overcome a lot of things but physics and aerodynamics aren’t on that list LOL. And the gun will probably like some pellets better than other. I’d try some JSB 8.3 and some H&N FTT and I bet at least one of those will work well.

About 3 weeks into this incredible sport and I gotta say bbsllc rocks!

I have been running through pellets like they were water. Finding out what my gun likes and what it only tolerates. At this point I'm in by nearly 450 pellets total.( Saving the tins like they had value lol). But I absolutely have to give props to bbsllc! I purchased the gx cs2 from their eBay store and it is doing fantastic!!! I shall continue to try to max this unit out!🙂

Crosman has Released a .457 Benjamin Bulldog

@mercado I had not stated that I had a problem, but since you asked I will oblige. This thread is about the .457 Bulldog. Not you and not the modded .308 you wanted. When I first addressed you, I was curious as to why you chose this thread to address an old personal issue. You seem to feel entitled to derail a thread and expect it go unnoticed or unchecked. I don’t want to read about this all over again with nothing new being introduced. This is the third thread I recall reading about your issue. Now it sounds like you’re whining and it looks like you’re intentionally harassing Brian. I have no dog in this fight, but I don’t want to read you complaining about the same incident over and over In my thread. I didn’t tell you to spend money with that shop. If people want to inquire about a shop they can ask members before shopping, search and read, or make an impulsive purchase. Since this isn’t a thread focused on that shop, how do you think someone looking to do business with them is going to find what you have to say in this here? How are you helping others in an obscure thread? What is happening here is your bickering is detracting from the purpose of this thread.
Well I don't need to ask for you permission .. but i don't really want to offend you , and end banned so I'm backin down .. I don't think that telling the truth is harrasing .. I will let you be happy..👍👍

New to HFT and looking for advice on Pellets

Having purchased over 60 targets out of my own pocket and also maintaining those same targets myself, I would never let anyone shoot at them if their FPE exceeded <20 …. $$$$ and maintenance issues would increase dramatically. even cheap Pellets with antimony in them is problematic.
I wasn't sure why the 20ft/lbs limit was in place in the first place. I did not know whether it was to protect targets or an effort to allow less powerful guns to compete against the more powerful PCP's that happen to have much higher pressures. This clues me in.

Source for Sheridan seal kits?

Hello,
I’m trying to rebuild a Racine WI era Sheridan/PMI 1 df paintball marker. It is powered by 12 gram cartridges, and uses many of the same parts as Sheridan traditional air guns.
Is there a source for these parts; new or reproduction? I’m particularly interested in exhaust valve pin/seal assemblies and co2 chamber face seals.
Thank you.

shut off and bleed valve

I would like to put a shut off after the moisture filter (in between the filter and the gun ) so i do not have to bleed off the pressure from the compressor / line , and filter to change guns when filling more than one gun . Or is this not a good idea as restarting up the compressor into an already pressurized line would be very hard on the compressor ?
Put a valve and bleed at each end of the hose/filter assembly?

I highly recommend getting a bottle whether it be paintball with a chinesium fill station or a chinesium scba. You don't have to wait, you already have a large store of pre conditioned air.

I've built a regulated manifold that allows two guns to be tethered up to an air source simultaneously, my buddy and I usually shoot all day off 1 enormous bottle I came across, no regulator needed because specifications were in line with our fill pressures.

shut off and bleed valve

I think it is a great idea, as long as you set it up with a one way check in the line before the filter so you can vent the pressure in that line before starting it back up - that will let the compressor start with no load and quickly get to the pressure in the filter.

Then you will need a vent after the filter followed by a valve that allows you to stop the air pressure from leaving the filter, but also a vent after that valve so you can depressurize the line to your guns.

It will take a lot of parts to make that set up, and thus won't be cheap, but it would work great. I have most of what you would need to do that, but not the valve. The picture below shows a line vent I made up from parts I bought from Best Fittings (if I reacall, those totaled about $45 or so) and some other speciallzed fittings that I also bought to let me do pretty much everything I want (I fill off a Shoebox, so my air is dried before it goes into the compressor). So from top to bottom in the picture, a pressure vent, a one way check valve that flows male to female, a female to female connector, and a male to male connector (the last two give me flecibility to use the vent or one way fitting in whatever direction I need).

As I said, it will get pricy as you will need a check vavle before the filter, and then after the filter you will need a vent, a shutoff valve, and another vent. You can either buy the parts to make up exactly what you want as one assebled item after the filter, or with fittings between them for added flexibility.

Hope that helps!

A tank question for the HS science & math teachers out there.

There is no difference. Twp 50 c.f. tanks will fill the same gun the same ammount of times as a 100 c.f. tank with everything the same. The only variable in the equation is if you are filling the gun from empty the first fill.

There is a calculator for tank fills in the Calculator forum
If you use smaller tanks, cascading is a way to make the most of the air (work) that you have. If you can mitigate bleed down losses and making air is inconvenient, maybe cascade 2 cylinders? The plumbing cost of a 4500 psi cascade makes it kind of a waste of time outside the commercial setting imho. I just went the lots of scbas route.

Airgun Technologies  I almost screwed up and sold this one…

Yeah, gun-itis is a tough thing to break. I don't sell any of my airguns so there are a number to choose from in assorted cases scattered throughout the house. And yet, I find myself longing for something new and different. Maybe I need an intervention or maybe just more time at the range.
