Daystate  How long does Daystate support its electronic components before 'killing' the support?

Curious: When did Daystate introduced its first electronically equipped PCP? And is it still supporting that model's electronics? (i.e. replacement parts.) Or did it kill support? If Daystate killed support, how many years after introduction did it kill support?

This matters as there's chatter about electronics becoming obsolete and support dropped. The mechanical parts can last decades so the electronics support matters.

Thanks

New to HFT and looking for advice on Pellets

I wasn't sure why the 20ft/lbs limit was in place in the first place. I did not know whether it was to protect targets or an effort to allow less powerful guns to compete against the more powerful PCP's that happen to have much higher pressures. This clues me in.
Prob a bit of both. The sub12 may have issues with heavier paddles needed to support 20+ fpe.

A tank question for the HS science & math teachers out there.

I stand corrected. If you have two 50 c.f. tanks and the guns max fill is 3000 psi and regulator is 1500 psi then:

If tank 1 is below 3000 psi but above 1500 psi you can start with this tank to it's max pressure and top the gun with tank 2.

My first answer only took into account using two tanks separately.

@mercado I’m not saying you need to ask permission to derail a thread. Most people won’t, but courtesy is still a thing. I’m not offended, but it’s annoying to see this go on all over again. I didn’t assume that you had bad intentions, but I don’t know what your intentions are, so is asked. My primary concern is keeping my thread focused upon the topic.
O , then my apology to you .. I really didn't see that it was a tread you started i just started typin ..my bad .🙏 .. 👍👍

Rats Shoot With Air Arm S510 .177 Cal low power

Max , great patience & shooting! I haven't been ratting for a couple weeks, last time out I got 3. It's cooled off a bit so now may be a good evening to try a trip to the barn.
Thank you for watching. Any time out shooting my air guns is a good day, lol. Have fun blasting those rodents.

I was just ready to comment on elh’s and glad you beat me to it. I don’t have a bad relationship with cops at all. Friends in the past and great respect for the stress of their job. But they’re just people
Asking a cop a law or town ordinance would be about a 20% chance of being correct. Surely someone will ask in a huff
where did you get such statistics? LIFE …
anyway I looked up town and county and state and could only come up with nearness to occupied dwellings
Yes... not all law enforcement officers lie... some just embellish. ;)

I try to avoid them in the professional capacity. In our small town, I know most of them personally.

Steyr  Steyr Pro X Version 2024 . looking for an advice

Nah, hallo Martin!

Schaftkappe... butt plate. Genau so.
Also.

Seeing where you live check egun for an adjustable unit for an Anschütz, Feinwerkbau or similar.
On my various pcp´s they´re often out of plastic and on the AR platform, which ISN`T a good thing by "our" standards (live in Sweden just north of you).
The one i´ve run into, as a stock offering, thus far worth a damn is the one out of aluminium on my Rex Meta but truth be told.. it comes up second to the Anschütz and Feinwerkbau stuff it isn´t even funny.
A used butt plate off of e-gun would be my best advice.

Tuning  BSF 55 disassembly help

Shuggoth,
Can you be more pacific please.
I have recently purchased Wischo 55N and it needs attention to the internals but can't access due to having trouble removing trigger group and site rail. I don't have a clue to the removal of these parts and been unsuccessful in my attempts. Any help would be much appreciated!

Kindest regards,
Mike

Diana  Diana 34...What a difference!

You chose well, the 34 is a real classic! It can be kinda plain looking, but Diana puts the good stuff where it counts: barrel, sights, trigger, and sturdy action.

I am NOT an expert on the 34 but did one for a friend with an ARH spring and Vortek piston seal and was happy with the result. But I would also agree that this could wait given how well it shoots now!

I'm not arguing against the no-slip butt, but as a point of interest - "no-buttplate" is a traditional German Look. At a recent gun show I saw a Merkel shotgun with a 4-figure price tag and bare wood at the back...!

Airgun Technologies  I almost screwed up and sold this one…

Congratulations Sir, you are one of the few to discover the inner beauty of these fine pellet guns. How many times have we heard a choked barrel will not shoot slugs? Humm, too many to count. How many times have we been told slugs need to be pushed really fast to fall a sleep? Humm, really? That hasn’t been my experience. You have a real treasure in your hands; come hell or high water I would never part with her.

Unfortunately, the addiction & demand for more power, more shot count, heavy slug shooter’s & most of all long range competition in this country has driven these fine examples of compact pellet hunters to extinction. These, and a handful of other brands & designs like them are cherished by those of us that love to hunt as they offer us, on a multitude of levels, attributes a long rifle cannot. Their compactness, extreme accuracy, zero POI change, rugged build quality, fine craftsmanship, ease & infrequency of maintenance, over all reliability, year after year, speak for themselves. ”These are the facts and nothing but the facts”.

The demand for “Formula One” Slug shooting PCP’s, in a very short time, has brought an end to the very best hunting guns of all time. This is my opinion & I am very much aware of “You know what they say about opinions”. Permit me to make myself clear. AGN is here for all of us to share & learn from one another nothing more nothing less. If you have a different opinion that is fine - should you be looking for a fight or an argument “You will not get one from me”.

Let us, for a moment, take a peek into the past of the 1950’s, 60’s & 70’s regarding the automotive industry. Professional auto racing, both national and international, drove the sports car market. What took the podium on Sunday was incorporated into mainstream on Monday‘s assembly line. The Airgun industry is similar. Hunters are not competitors; they are typically quiet, reserved & of an analytical mind set that prefer‘s simplicity & reliability. In other words “No Podium” which equates to a much smaller market/audience that yields a slimmer profit margin.

Hang on to that one Sir! She’s Special!

I think if it was an issue for me I would look up the local laws as opposed to asking an officer of the law.
You do know it's legal for them to lie, right?
