He offered me a x27 ED powered but I said I prefer higher like x40, even if I may never need x40 but still I can turn it down.
Btw, I must mention this as well. He bough a brand new centerfire and mount this x27 new scope - how to say it polite .... clearly visible he has no F idea what he was doing and this probably gave me a chance for this freebee.

Here is what this 4-40x56 looks like on my testing setup:

To start from here.

The scope glass is really impressive, I never liked the FFP scopes but I figure I can have a compromise here.

The scope mount .... looks promising, the built quality is solid . The small bubble tube underneath is useless, so I ordered a 34mm bubble for it from amazon.

But, when I started installing the mount, it sits on the rail correct in free position ... I start tightening the screws - and the mount lifts up from the rail surface. This is a design error, a very bad copy or clone to call it.
This is no bueno, not for me.
I like to migrate = dual purpose my scopes between my air rifles, also I am moving my Falcon X50 between my Impact 100M BR gun and my W308 f-class without any issues.
So this scope mount is a junk in my eyes.
No problem, order a cheap 34mm westhunter from amazon, much better performer but still lifts up from the rail when tightening the screws.
Uhm...
These scope mounts I mentioned can work only in a single gun installation,
but that is against my vision what a scope mount shall be.

This one is a solid performer, but the price starts $300 and up:

What I like with this design?
Notice the ring split and how it grabs the scope tube?
When you setting up a bubble, you tightening up the ring, and - doesn't tilts the bubble !!! Thaaat is a money right there.

Btw, I have a full box of 30mm rings adjustable and cantilever and raised and offset, still have to buy a new mount for 34mm.

i got the parts ordered thanks i will see if i can make the 853cm into a mag mover instead of a finger pusher
so, i have always thought the M in 853CM was for military but i think it is for manual LOL

So, I just received a Leopard in .22, standard bottle. I have not shot yet and need a rough I idea of where to start the macro/micro setting for a JSB Hades .22 15.89 grain pellet. Any ideas? I know its a rather new rifle.

it might be one that you don't start with

Other - Why so many .25 cal. for sale?

Just curious. I watch the classified section and other airgun for sale sites. It seems to me that there are more .25 cal. for sale than say .22. Not having owned a .25 cal. air rifle I am wondering why? Is it less shots per fill, ammo cost, accuracy or ??????? Makes me think twice about buying...

Yeah, Huma is usually 4 days via UPS.
Ordered a regulator yesterday tracking says Monday. But it is UPS and they suck around here so Tuesday or Wednesday...

The other one that is surprisingly fast is Trajectron.com in India. 4-5 days by DHL.

I think it's more a matter of arrangement. I mean if you have a 5 acre wooded lot in town or have an 8 foot privacy fence it's a totally different situation than what I have going on.

I simply don't have the space to shoot beyond 25 yards, so it's pointless to shoot anything other than 177. It is handy to just walk out the door for sighting in tho.

I Finally got the set up to work proper for the Zelos. I swear I had so much trouble , but now I did really good today. I have the round bottom aluminum bottle from Amazon $40 , and the C88 machining bottle adapter
from eBay for $50. I had to do this to be able to get some shot count from the reg being set at 2,500 to be able to shoot these Apolo 28 grain HP dish base slugs. It was filled to 3,625 psi , and I got 60 great shots , and when I stopped the bottle pressure was at 2,600. I shot 12 - 5 shot groups , and I drew the circles around a dime for the targets. I posted a pic of the slugs so you could see how clean these are.
I got 8 tins from Pyramid Air. I earned my bragging rights today. That straight line of 3 on the left was me sighting in on sharpie dots below. I used the dime to draw around. OV

I’ve never participated in a Field Target match but I have a question. In a lane that is designated for kneeling, can a participant elect to stand instead? It seems to me that would only make the shot more difficult and therefore would not be an advantage to the shooter if they chose to stand. I’m just curious. Thanks,

Huma delivery arrived to for my Stoeger Bullshark .25 cal. Have had a bad day at work where it seemed like something went wrong with everything I touched. So installing this will wait till tomorrow.
Got to say delivery speed from Germany to USA was impressive, ordered Monday evening.

Get a great deal on the gun then immediately drop $350 for mods...
And $300 for a Discovery 5-30x50 FFP scope.

Wondering about removing that MASSIVE shroud and moderator.

But definitely a gun i want to take up to the farm in Oregon to try out long range. If we shoot across the road it is over 200 yards of open field to a filbert orchard.

I have a Crosman 140 and really like it. I've never had it apart so I can't give you any advice on how to fix it but it is well worth the effort to get that rifle going again.
Contact crosman600repair.com. Henry Ford who runs it can repair it for you or you can buy the seal kit from him and do it yourself.

Is there a check valve under it? Sometimes there's galley plugs on stuff that needed to be cross drilled. Check valves reed valves etc.
