I thinking this,I really do not want to buy another air gun,

I parrose the classifieds but nothing sparks my fancy. My Taipan Standard and RTI Prophet .22s, .177 Revere keep me covered for my needs. Beeman R9 .22 for the springer itch. I plan to mod a couple Dreamline Tactical barrels to be like the Royal barrel system. After that I should be pretty well covered.

Benjamin vintage pellets 5mm

On the probability the pellets that you got with an old Sheridan Blue Streak are also Sheridans, the information you've gotten about those pellets is ancient. They're neither super accurate, nor exceptionally hard hitting by modern standards. Yellow box Sheridans will likely out-penetrate most pellets, but JSB 13.73 grain pellets will shoot rings around Sheridan pellets, for accuracy.

I've owned and tested several Blue Streaks. See the attachment below for details-

The "Ticking Time Bomb" Collection: How I'm Simplifying and Going Back to Basics

I totally understand you, when other parts of life gets too complicated, you'd like your hobby to be simple, because hobby time should be fun and relaxing, and in this scenario, simple is fun and relaxing.
It's also true for the other side, simple easy life requires something complicated to preoccupy yourself with.

If hand pumps were not invented, I personally wouldn't consider PCPs as a practical tool, I'm a hunter, and running out of air in the middle of nowhere, far far from the air source is a nightmare for me.

And for other shooters here, I think we really should encourage each other to use hand pumps in PCP airguns, it's healthy for us, and you appreciate and enjoy every shot you take from that rifle even more, because effort has gone into it...

My grandfather at the age of 80 or so was swinging axe at wild pistachio tree and taking them down(some of THE Hardest wood I know), and he last up to 96, workout does not expire us but rather the lack of it.

Stay healthy.
Jake.

Need help for a PCP

FX's SIMPLE guns are stellar (Royale, Wildcat, Streamline, Dreamline, etc.). Most of the negative comments I've read here are by people who base their opinion on experiences with their more complicated, o-ring laden guns like the Impact, for one example. Imho, SIMPLICITY RULES! They DO have guns that can deliver accuracy & repeatability without all the work & frustration that accompanies it.

Hello shooters

What's up everyone! I just joined. I'm sure my story is similar to others. I bought a Gamo Shadow Whisper .177 at Wal-Mart 5 years ago. I handed down my 2 Daisy pump bb guns to my twins. It was time to shoot! Well the sights were garbage and I couldn't hit anything. I put the gamo away and forgot about it.
I am a firefighter, and moved to a new station that someone had a similar break barrel and metal targets. I shot it pretty well. So, I dusted off the gamo. I decided to upgrade the sights. I went with a 11 dovetail to 20 picatinny adapter and a pinty red dot. Cheapest I could find on Amazon. 🤣
Set up the red dot and sighted it in at 25m. Took it to work and did good with it. Everyone took turns. Another FF asked how much the red dot and rail were. He was surprised that it was under 30$. He said send him the link and that he was bringing his springer next shift. He has been trying to remove pests from his yard without any luck.
The pellet game has been interesting. Right now I'm on the Stoeg waddcutters 7.48 and they are performing well. I am ready to move up to a 10+gr and get ready for small game.
I've been looking up info in here for a couple of days. I've already learned so much. Artillery method! Thank you very much! I haven't even tried it yet but it makes so much sense. Triggers. Probably not going to do anything else to the gamo. Should be good for a couple of seasons and plenty of plinking. I will be saving up for a .22 airgun. I'm not sure what style or brand but, well under 1k. I think i might start hitting pawn shops and see what's out there.
That's my story. I look forward to hearing from y'all!

What springer did you shoot today?

no shooting today Rain heavy with wind off the lake = wet shooting stand /table . Just barely see the other side of the lake last two hours .
“Dry as a popcorn fart.” Man could we use rain. Luckily I pump water out of lake to water garden.
Taking these 5 out for a spin today.

would you shoot it?

Sometimes if you think about the mind trigger connection, the trigger gives you a certain about of power,to let live or die,as you age the power of life has more power, espectually if you been through a life threating "act".
Then reality sets in and I picture the chewed wires on my vehicles and other damages as I squeeze the trigger.

Anyone else in your house as into AG as you?

We went to Ohio a couple months ago for a memorial for Betty Lou's mamma who passed last year. I took a couple airguns. We stayed in the cabin on my BIL's place. He never shot an airgun other than the P-17 pistol I gifted him a couple years ago. He shot the Hatsan Flash gen 1 and almost instantly he was nailing paint balls at 50 yards across the pond. He was hooked. But that's a 10 hour road trip one way.
Betty Lou will get back into shooting with me once the weather cools down.

I'd like to know what exactly you polished to make the reg more reliable. I'm wondering if i can do the same to my budget Avenger which is notorious for creep.
You just have to take it apart, clean it foolish all the discs right on the edge where they meet each other then put a good quality silicone, Greece or oil after reassemble shoot a whole bunch of times starting at low pressure and then bring it up to about 100 psi more than you normally use it . Then degas adjust to your desire pressure. you should be all set. I did it to mine when I first got it and I never had a problem. He just had to be careful because you’ll probably break all the seals and the rack, especially if we’ve never taken it out so be sure to have a set of replacement seals and loop. Those with good quality silicone grease as well

As I've said, it isn't for everybody. The biggest problem has been the learning curve...I mean, there's no manual, no documentation.

Now that I understand how it works, I expect it will be no different than any other bullpup PCP.

Yes, I would love to have a Red Panda!
Me too, but maybe when I win the lotto
