HW/Weihrauch  Stainless HW guys

I've purchased from AOA, but nothing Gehmann. I've picked up diopter stuff here and there from forum members and also some bits from Creedmoor Sports.
AOA sold these diopters at a ridiculous price a couple of years ago, as well as irises. I bought one in a set with two irises.

DREAMLINE TUNING QUESTION

My Dreamline Classic with power plenum, 600mm barrel and Huma regulator is set up this way:

JSB Exact King Heavy .25 – 33.95 gr

Extreme Spread – 11 fps (1.2%)

Standard Deviation – 3.4

Average - 890 fps

Regulator set at 135 BAR. Getting 32 good shots from 230 Bar fill.
I am trying to get to 870 fps on my Dreamline. Reg is set at 125. Pellets are Exact King 25.39 gr. I am getting 740 fps.
What did you set the hammer wheel at?
I am going to try 135.
Any other changes can be made to increase the power?

Into and out of - the kneeling position

To the OP's original question, I don't use a BOB cart. I don't carry more than the gun, sticks, stool and ammo so I use an MTM rifle work station with tote ropes to carry. This way, the gun, sticks and ammo is right next to me. If you bring your own kneeling roll, place it at the kneeling lane prior to the match. That's the only lane you will be using it on. Sharpie your name and phone number on it in the event you forget it or put a post it note on your steering wheel as a reminder.
This is a little off of the OP's subject line, but for your forced positions, turn your magnification power down to around x12. At 16x, your wiggle/wobble is magnified a whole lot more and your brain is trying to hold perfectly in the middle. Besides, the hold over is seldom more or less than your zero.
To demonstrate this, turn the magnification up to 24x, look at say, an imaginary KZ target and it will be almost impossible to hold your aim point anywhere near the KZ.

Other  Fill nipple protector cap?

I know this is an OLD thread, but I just bought 10 of those from Captain O-ring off fleabay, and they're too big for a standard size pcp rifle (my AirForce Escape, and my RAW HM1000X) with what I believe are both 8mm metric size fill ports.

JSB or Crosman?

Thanks guys.

I shoot Baracuda Match in my P35-177 and P35-22. But I have a JTS sampler I want to try in the 177. It shoots well but I have not been able to shoot better than a 197 with it so I am wondering it a different pellet might shoot better. I happened to buy several tins of 21 grain Baracudas by mistake and the best score I've shot with my P35-22 this year is a 198 and I did it with both the plain Baracudas and the Match. My Stoeger Bullshark shoots 18 and 21 grain H&N well but I think JSB 18.1s may be a little more accurate. I have not tried FX yet but probably will. In my other guns which prefer JSB they also like FX.

I think the Crosmans might shoot better a little slower but I haven't shot a 30 yard challenge target with them in the Bullshark that was lower than 190 yet, lowest may be 193. I shot a 193 yesterday with them in 10 mph wind. It's kind of nice to have a cheap gun that likes cheap pellets. I also kind of what to see what a 14.3 grain pellet at over 900 fps does to a squirrel skull. It will probably just zip right through but they work well for me in the Prod at about 750 fps.

Looking for Pros and Cons on the Pard DS35 LRF and the DNT Zulus LRF

Oh man!! Just watched a few videos on it, sheesh. Yes that would def be the way to go lol 1200 isn't to bad I guess
Trust me try and find someone near with a thermal I myself would not but just a ir the tnc225 i have will pick up rabbits at 350 to 400 yards i can see cars 2+ miles away. Pluss you see more ive spotted mice with thermal i couldnt see with ir or day vision same with rabbits hiding in grass the thermal light them up nicely. Coyotes at 1/2 mile. I can scan my shooting are in seconds no hot spots move on

Degassed, pulled the reg, cleaned, polished the little crossbar but didn't have a spanner screwdriver to access the washer stack. Put it all back together and ran about 150 pellets thru her. Regulator creep is now gone, it didn't move a hair from 1000psi to 2000psi (in 200psi increments). As soon as my spanner screwdriver set arrives, I'll take it all down again, regrease, etc.

I'm still having velocity issues. I can't get even the light pellets (.25 X 25.39 pellets) above 850fps...no matter what I try. I've verified the Xfer port is wide open, Hammer Spring has been adjusted thru its entire range at a variety of reg. pressures. Tonight I went thru the reg. from 2000psi to 3000psi (33.9 pellets). Highest velocity was 824fps. I'm becoming more and more convinced that I have a restriction somewhere...valve body maybe? @3000psi reg. pressure, I should be having to boost the hammer spring just to get the valve to open. Hammer spring adjustments don't do squat...other than cause the velocity to drop.

My final string of 21 shots this evening @ 3000psi reg press (33.9g pellet) actually climbed 23fps (817 to 841). That's a first. If I was at 2000psi reg pressure, I would start some fine tuning to get a flat spot in the graph...but it should be shooting those 33.9 pellets @900fps at 2000psi. No reg creep @ 3000psi...I guess that's a plus.

Other  Rainson Edge - questions

This is a picture of the air group in my Rainson. I have questions:

1. What does that M5x4mm grub screw (see arrow) do? Manual was not helpful. There appeared to be nothing in there, and the grub screw bottomed out at the bottom of where it goes.

2. If it's leaking, how do I make it stop? I replaced it with a new one, with no luck.

Thanks!

Great shooting man. I'm assuming you were estimating on the wind holds? I can see what you mean about the grainy image but overall nice! I don't see how I will want to go back to a regular scope after using something like this lol
Thanks.

Yes, educated guess on wind holds.

I would look into the dnt tnc225r in my opinion the thermal is priceless. My 225r stays on thermal when pesting day or night then once spotted i switch to day or ir. This being my first didgital scope i couldnt imagine not having the thermal you will spot way more pests either daytime or night

Pellet Testing?

I do not clean the barrel of my rifles until accuracy falls off. I certainly do not clean between brands or weights of pellets.

I do shoot more than one 5 shot group of pellets I am testing. Usually 2. If the second looks better than the first I may shoot a third. To me that takes care of the potential effect of switching brands. Usually I do not see a significant difference between the first and second 5 shot group. I sometimes shoot less than 2 five shot groups if it seems pretty obvious the gun doesn't like a pellet. Bad groups do not get better with more shots.

My "fouling shots" go into a group and whether it is a good group help me to know if that gun likes fouling shots. Usually mine don't seem to care.

I will also say that I have cleaned between brands of pellets before but I never saw it make a discernable difference.

Other  CZ Slavia 634 shot cycle and trigger

There is a method to improve the trigger pull, but only for an experienced shooter and only in certain situations. You pull the trigger with the safety engaged, pull the safety button out when ready to fire and the result is a decent single stage let off. I read about this method when I had one and it works, though the shooter must be aware and mindful (as always!)
I never warmed up to mine and gave it to a buddy who probably never shoots it.
