Western Airguns  Mordax (Venom) Parts Diagram / schematic?

Sadly, you won't find one, and I have not seen anyone brave enough to do a full teardown video on their guns like Gregor did with the Huben either . . . so we are on our own when it comes to working on these things in any way not mentioned in the limited owners manual.

Western Airguns appears to have a policy of not releasing any parts diagrams - the Rattler and Sidewinder have been out for years with no parts diagrams released yet, despite AoA saying it would happen years ago . . . bottom line, don't hold your breath.

I'd at least contact the retailer (AoA?) about it to get heir advice. I did that back with my Sidewinder a few years back on an issue that needed a part (magazine indexing mechanism) and they sent it to me and told me how to fix it, which I was good with - that way I did not have to send it back. In your case it may well be an o-ring, but it is not worth voiding the warranty over it, especially since parts are not available for easy direct purchase (since there is no parts diagram) . . .
Yeah that sucks.. probably don't want to get sued by huben. Oh well I sent out the feelers for support. I'll update with how it shakes out.

The Fabulous Diana 27

In Germany when my Dad and us were stationed there at Ramstein he bought me a brand new M27 in 1970/10 years old, for my birthday. After years of abuse we managed to basically ruin it unfortunately. Since we moved and lived at 7000 ft elevation I think the spring broke, but shortly after that my Dad ordered another larger model Diana. That was like 4 years later after the first one. It ended up the same way, lol. Amazing how naughty a kid can be when it comes to taking care of stuff. I shot them both often and I wonder how many tins I went through??

N/A  Weihrauch HW97K Synthetic

Michigan Keith1 here thinking to add one springer at home for hft target shooting and bunny hunting. I like the hw97k but should it be in 177 or 22 cal? plus do i need yo put a new vortech spring pg3 kit ? thanks for everyones help
Have you shot hft before? Are you wanting to be competitive or just shoot hft targets informally with friends? If you want to shoot matches get the .177, the flatter trajectory will be a benefit. You'll also be handicapping yourself on the close targets with tiny KZ's if you shoot .22.

Nightforce scopes NX8 or ATACR

Ok all you wizards of glass
time to share your experience with me regarding your Nightforce NX8 or ATACR
comparisons to top end Sightrons or similar product quality manufacturers would be great
apples to apples please
I was doing a side by side comparison (through the lens) yesterday between my NX8 30 mm tube and my ATACR 34 mm tube...
Once Again the 34 mm tube has a much greater spread of the ranging numbers on a 6" parallax wheel.
I'm going to make a drawing / picture to demonstrate this... but this is interesting... once was a FFP and one was a SFP.

Tuning  General Operational and Math Question

I am not being a smart ass with this answer. When I have these type of questions I don't use the AGN search function, but instead use Google to search AGN. Here is your starting search:

Tuning  General Operational and Math Question

Just checking Gerry, since you did not mention the gun model - are you sure it is regulated? That could have a lot to do with it . . .

I have a .22 caliber Air Ranger with a 17" barrel, and it came from the factory set up as a 50 FPE gun, and it could do that with heavy pellets (it made 48 FPE with JSB Beasts at 33.9 grain, and I was able to tune it up to 50FPE). It is an unregulated gun, and the sweet spot of the power curve was 2900 psi at that power level (so a 3175 gave me about 25 shots with an ES of 1.5%).

I found I was able to easily tune it down by making shorter hammer spring spacers, and could set it up as low as about half the energy shooting 16 grain pellets at about 24 FPE - using about an 1800 psi fill for the same count and ES as above).

By the way, the gun stated that the max fill was 250 bar (so 3625 psi), but it would always be in at least partial valve lock at that pressure - it would fire, but at a much lower speed. I found no matter how I tuned it, the max fill for keeping it under 3% ES at max power was about 3300 psi. Also, the hammer in those 50 FPE Air Rangers is heavy - a bit over 100 grams if I recall correctly. That said, it has a great snappy shot cycle at the lower power tunes and is a joy to shoot like that, so that is where it lives now (~32 FPE) - I even fabbed an internal SSG for it so it works great as a very high shot count plinker too - if I'm willing to tolerate a ~70 FPS ES on a 930 FPS max speed, I get over 100 shots on a 2400 psi fill (shooting from 2400 down to about 1500 psi). That SSG made a huge difference on the backside of the curve, as the hammer used to bounce and waste air like crazy, but now it just fires once with a little less speed . . . .

Anyways, that is an unregulated data point at high power with a shorter barrel . . . .

FX  Fx dreamline lite

Utah has them, call and talk to someone. The regulator seals do NOT come in the “complete” rebuild kit. If you need to reseal the regulator the whole new reg is only slightly more than the rebuild kit.

The Dreamline is an easy rebuild other than the bottom oring for the reg. Be careful not to scratch up the block trying to get that bugger out.

HW/Weihrauch  Stainless HW guys

Stainless LOOK , i an reasonably confident both coatings will hold up equally well although i have no idea what the stainless look coating is ?
I'm pretty sure its a nickel alloy.

They never appealed to me. Same as some people don't like laminate stocks. There's no practical reasons not to like either, only emotion. Purely esthetics.

Umarex  Tuning in general

You've got the idea, but as stated, when you find the peak or plateau, you then back down the hammer, 3-5% in velocity to get you on the knee. You can almost always hear your gun change it sound. When air is blowing out the barrel after the pellet leaves it will be loud and grouchy:), but when you turn the hammer back, and reach the point you are no longer wasting air, it will quiet down to a pfffft!. It's harder to say than it is to hear. That sound is a good indication of efficiency.

A good example is the FX Impact. They have so many adjustments, that you can easily get a bit lost. It's easy to just start over. But when you get it right, the sound on mine changes dramatically, and I know, I'm there.
Never heard of the “knee”, as most of the YouTube tuning videos suggest finding the plateau and that’s your balance between pressure and hammer spring. I decided to adjust to the knee on my .25 DRS Tactical, I found the plateau at 934fps at 90bar, adjusted the hammer spring wheel down til I got to an average fps of 901. Sound right? I’d like my spread to be tighter, but shooting paper it was really accurate at 50 meters.
