Quietest, and most accurate

I went through a whole lot of PCP’s in past two or so years. If I knew then what I know now I would buy an American Air Arms .25 or .22 Evol. Expensive for a lot of folks budget, don’t know what yours is, but it’s a buy once cry once. Gun is built like a tank.
Not really quiet though… and virtually no support/parts for it.

Huben  Huben GK1 universal pic rail

Has anyone used the universal pic rail from Airgun tactical? Is it a pretty straight forward install? I have seen a ton of different red dot mount adapters etc. with instructions but these don't have any on the site. I like the Idea of having a longer rail to add different style optics. Took a shot and ordered it but just curious who else is using it and what optics you may have paired with it and enjoy.

Diana mod 54 airking pro for FT

For what it is worth, I used THAT gun to win nationals back in 2017. Yes, it went back to Hector for a rebuild after shooting it at 7200 feet elevation, and that at 12 fpe. In my opinion, the air is just too thin at that elevation. It shot well, but did not help the internals. Ron is now the proud owner of it and it should do him well. I loved that gun and am glad it is in good hands.

Currently shooting TX200 at sub 12 fpe. Have consistently good luck with it, as it is easy to tear down, inspect, and relube as necessary. I do NOT shoot it at high elevations, check it often, and am well pleased both of them that I own. It is my favorite powerplant to shoot.
the Whiscombe is my favorite still, the 54 can shoot good but not as reliable the 54 kicks pretty hard a couple of times during around. I also have a Park and 2 1/2 TX SRs

Buying used rifles

Baker has pretty good selection and decent pricing too

You do pay a bit of a premium to shop the air gun stores for used. You do get guns tested and most likely work.

AGN & GTA users are generally good about standing behind what they sell.

Gunbroker.com plan on replacing all the o'rings especially if you buy off an auction.
GTA is the other forum I was thinking about I just couldn’t remember the name thanks!

Buying used rifles

I would add Airguns of Arizona and Utah Airguns. Both retailers with a good variety of used guns that will be function/leak checked before they are sent out. A of A has a 30 day guarantee on them, not sure about Utah. In my opinion overall the pricing at A of A is much better than Utah.
First places I checked. Looking to buy off a person more so than a business feel like I’d get a way sweeter deal.

What to expect from an EDgun Leshiy 2 NINE (9mm) - 600mm (23,6”)!!!

Hello, Airgun Nation community!

Wolfiek Group / EDgun Shop here.

We tried out the 9mm Leshiy 2 with the 600mm (23.6”) barrel -we took it to the maximum recommended power (around 90% of what the absolute max should be), and wanted to share the results with you:

Settings:
Jets: 0,2 + 0,2
Reg: 180 BAR (Externally Adjustable Original EDgun Regulator)

Results:
V0 with 81 grains Pellets: 278 ms / 912 fps
Muzzle Energy: 203 Joules / 150 FPE

V0 with ZAN Slugs 81 grains: 274 ms / 900 fps
Muzzle Energy: 197 Joules / 145 FPE

V0 with ZAN Slugs 91 grains: 264 ms / 866 fps
Muzzle Energy: 203 Joules / 150 FPE

Shot count from 300 to 180 BAR:
With 350cc bottle installed: 20 shots (2 Mags and a half)
With 470cc bottle installed: 27 shots (3 Mags and a half)

We also tried to squeeze more power to get that extra 10%. Now, with these settings, it would become considerably inefficient. But still, just for testing, we went for it:

Jets: 0,1 + 0,1
Reg: 200 BAR (Externally Adjustable Original EDgun Regulator)

Results:

V0 with ZAN Slugs 91 grains: 274 ms / 900 fps
Muzzle Energy: 220 Joules / 162 FPE

Shot count from 300 to 200 BAR:
With 350cc bottle installed: 12 shots (1 Mag and a half)
With 470cc bottle installed: 16 shots (2 full Mags)

We hope that we’ve shed some light on what the L2 NINE is capable of.

What do you think?

Questions?

Best,
Thomas
Can you share a good Tune for the 9mm Leshiy 2? Reg pressure, puck and jet size for 600mm barrel?

Are glass optics becoming obsolete?

I know they have other useful capabilities, and the 1100yd rangefinder would be great, but if the Zulu is zeroed at 50yds, the compensation won’t get you anywhere near 1100yds with airgun ballistics. Not even 300-600yds.
Soon I'll be putting 230 yards to the test with a texan.308 and at some point, i can find 400 yards if 300 works out. .308 Texan 150gr BARS slugs @ 990fps. 140 was easy.

Tuning  Do springs age out?

I sent it out to a reputable airgunsmith and he did the seals and said it needed a spring. Kind of hard to argue from 500 miles away.
Most gunsmiths will want to replace all internals. Not being certain of past use or abuse, they have their reputation to protect. If you learn to do it yourself then you can maintain it as you go. With the help and encouragement from other AGN members and videos out there, I found the task of replacing the seals quite straight forward.

Tuning  Regulator pressure VS Hammer Spring tension

Hello, everyone.

I also believe that the basic theory that the relationship between REG and HST is 95-97% of the maximum speed is correct.
In most cases, I set the parameters based on this theory.

However, there are many exceptions in actual cases.
For example, if the spring strength is insufficient, the valve may not open fully, making it impossible to measure the true maximum speed. Therefore, adjusting to 95-97% of the measurable maximum speed may lead to incorrect results.
The same applies to the hammer weight.

Conversely, if the spring is too strong, setting HST to 95–97% becomes extremely difficult, and the pellet speed may become unstable.

Considering these factors, I believe the (95–97% theory) only holds true when using the optimal hammer weight and hammer spring according to the desired output.

This is simply my personal opinion based on my own experience.

Are glass optics becoming obsolete?

A cool capability of digital scopes is when they have the feature where they utilize a built in ballistic app and laser range finder to do automatic vertical compensation. As far as I know, this feature typically has insufficient compensation for >200yd ELR with an airgun. So we are stuck with clicking for the time being. In order to automatically cover the full range of shooting from very close to very far, they’ll either need a lot more pixels and resolution, or a motorized turret.

Learned to use a slide rule in 1973-1974. Electronic calculators came out and I never used my slide rule again.

I used an HP45 calculator from 1975 to 1982. Battery charge lasted a day and then recharge.

I used an HP10c calculator from 1982 to about 2005. Battery lasted years and no charging.
“Respectfully, I think you might be underestimating what the ZULUS HD 5–20x with LRF can actually do—especially for airgun ELR work.”

  • The built-in rangefinder covers up to 1100 yards, and it feeds instant data to a ballistic calculator that lets me plug in custom BCs, scope height, and muzzle velocity tailored to my setup, not just centerfire presets.
  • With STARVIS 2 optics and a 60Hz OLED display, tracking subsonic flight paths is clean even in marginal light. That’s not a gimmick—it’s field-ready performance.
  • Recent firmware updates have sharpened both low-light detail and ballistic response. The scope doesn’t just hold up under recoil—it feels like it was built with airgunners in mind. I’ve run it with DOPE cards, rangefinder verification, and manual clicks, and it lands shots where the numbers say they’ll land.
So while full auto-compensation may still be aspirational for extreme range, this scope gives me the best of both worlds: smart feedback and precision control. It’s not guessing—it’s responding to my data.” Texan impact @ 140 yards. Rangefinder verified. 3 consecutive hits on steel, filmed under safe, controlled conditions.
