Does Tuxing own ToAuto compressor company?

I own 2 Tuxings, the one the left I have had 4 years and the one the right over 2 years and serves as a back and i do every 2 months switch the one im using so i can do Maintenace, change oil if needed, check air filter ect.Parts i get on Ebay. I have rebuilt the one on the right, both will out produce the gx cs2. With any compressor you have to pay attention to temps and oil break down. So, I guess it comes down to if you're filling a pcp ( gx-cs2) or tanks -Tuxing

the one I had was crap!!!! And I was carfull with all maintenece best proper oil and additive in cooling system etc. Now I have an Omega Air Charger. Way happier!! Quieter fills tanks way faster smaller footprint so I can take to Mesa with me in the winter. Just my two cents.

Events  Some thoughts for match directors or clubs trying to Grow Field Target

I've seen our Nevada match change when we added a large shade canopy at the lower camping area, then it changed even more this year when we put (built) two picnic tables under the larger shade canopy. It was a people magnet and it brought a smile to my face.

I learned at the Alabama Nationals that I needed to come to the National events to see people I only see once a year and not just for winning/doing well. I did poorly due to pellet selection (they were great indoors, poor outdoors), since then I have had a better time at Nationals and also did pretty well.

We upped our fee this year and due to that did not ask for any volunteers to setup, paint, pull or set sight-in targets, we had some regardless because most FT people are like that.

After running a GP for a bunch of years now I appreciate GP's i'm not running that much more.

I would attend more 'local' matches except the closest is about 70 miles (1.5 hours) each way (which may be closing down), the next one is 130 miles away (about 2.25 each way). For me to make it in time for a 9am start time I have to wake up at an hour only sick people wake up at on a Sunday. I also have a rule, if the drive time is longer than the event/stay time perhaps it is better to do something else.
I am one of those "sick" people lol. Myself and a few others travel 4 hours one way twice a month, its about 225 miles one way so 450 miles round trip just to shoot a 2.5hr 60 shot match. Its getting old and I will probably slow down on doing it but I do it for more than just the shooting. Im not sure what else Id be doing if not shooting FT but maybe I should start exploring those options or not. I love it, but hate the driving.
Ohio is structured to where there is a FT shoot basically every Sunday. From me, 1 is 225 miles, another is 215 miles, another is 135 miles, and the closest is 25min.

New to air guns

There ARE simpler FX PLATFORMS that won't confound newbies but mostly overlooked. For a first experience get an out of the box GREAT shooter with long track record of customer satisfaction & loyalty (FX Royale or Crown, Taipan Veteran, Daystate Huntsman, Brocock, etc.) A simpler gun might be the ticket! Stating your budget & intended use would help too. Welcome aboard the Rabbit Hole train!

What are the downsides of semi-auto?

Semi-auto seems fun and practical. Why would someone not want one?
Well, that depends on how they achieve semi auto. My aea hp would blow pellets out the back of the magazine and clog up my trigger group. Its fun for the first day but I never have a real use for it with the hunting I do. Double taps are rarely a thing. Side lever is my favorite now, and not just any side lever. It's got to be ez. Here's my dreamline with an oversized handle I made. My impact is similar and with a 28 round magazine it's more fun than my semi auto with a 14 round mag.

Thomas Air  Damaged skirts, does it really matter?

Most of us don't have the time or resources to sort barrels, but you are right in this regard, but sorting pellets is definitely a positive thing to do. When I shot 25M BR with my RAW TM1000, the most minute differences in all aspects of the equipment and my own psyche affected whether I won or lost a match, often by only 1 point. I've posted this picture before showing targets shot at 25M using sorted and unsorted pellets. You be the judge.

If you're sorting pellets, youve got plenty of time on your hands.

Barrels, like just about everything else in our universe, follow Gaussian distribution, or rather, bell curves. Most are decent, some are exceptional, and some are pure crap. One of my guns is on its 5th barrel. I won one of the 6? 2024 Extreme Field Target Grand Prixs last summer with that 5th barrel. With unsorted pellets, and the damned .22 Monster RDs at that.

(Ones ability to improve a barrel is also a factor, some can't be improved, regardless of experience and skill at doing so.)

N/A  Aigunsmithing Tools - Advice and Suggestions

Here are a few other items that are used for air guns/pellets

Silicon Lube
OR

Dry Lube (for Pellets)

For non-oily areas to collect dirt/dust

Burst Disc

I use this little gem to remove stubborn moderator end caps by drilling two holes to fit the tool ends.

Scope Eyepiece

Smallish set of Wiha Metric Allens

Bondus 'Star' Drivers

Bondus Metric Screwdriver Allens

Bondus Inch Screwdriver Allens

Obviously, these are only tools, products that I have purchased from Amazon. I have many others from various vendors.

EaZy Trigger Fill for PCPs

I like the 40” hose with adapter options. Good quality.

Yeah, between gas, time involved, and occasional < 4500 psi fills; I have about grown tired of the long drives. Plus, sometimes they don’t have it ready at the promised time. Luckily, I go to ‘Zack’ and only Zack because is does exactly what I want and will top off after it cools to 4500-4700 psi. So, I always do a drop off at 11am, grab lunch or groceries close by and come back and Zack has it ready.

Looking hard now at Omega Super Charger ( the other two models are disc‘d) or the Legerro. My wallet likes the Omega but my desire wants the Legerro. The video that Jared (AoA) does is excellent in my view.

Do you knif there are any good Omega Air Charger YT reviews?

Thanks Mike.
I did see this video on the compressor. Not too many since it is an older compressor.
I have the 80' whip. Can keep the bottle on the ground and easily refil or keep tethered

Coma wheel direction

I am looking for a new scope and side wheel combination for field target. I really want a removable side wheel.
JD custom is what I have now. It is great. But I’m shopping around while they are restocking inventory.
I just discovered that the coma side wheels come in two directions. If the parallax wheel turns clockwise to increase magnification it is one type and if turning counter clockwise increases magnification it is the other style.
Can someone please show a picture of how it should be set up.

Ranged pest control

I've been in a similar situation-How much time do you want to spend? A box trap like the Squirrelinator works while you're doing other things. Set one or more near the burrows and bait with something they like. You may have to leave the doors wired open at first to get them used to going in. The trap comes with a tub to dispatch the catch by drowning. I've used and still use these in situations where being next to a road with a gun is a bad idea. A combination of shooting and trapping should be pretty effective.
I cleared our 50 acres in 2010 with a .22 cal Beeman R9 breakbarrel, but I was a lot younger and more patient back then! I would do patrols morning , noon and evening.
A warning-the crack of a headshot is moderately addictive!
I have ground squirrels to thank/blame for my obsession and large collection of airguns.........

Other  AirForce Knockoff First Look + Other Pinty Guns

Well, after my Bullpup debacle and 5 months of my time wasted. I am sending the Pullpup back to Pinty for a full refund. I am disappointed about this whole situation because I was very happy with the feel of rifle and was looking forward to pesting with it. I use my P-Carbine almost every day.
I was afraid shooting the P-Pup would ruin my rifleman status, but I'm happy to say it didn't impress me much. Definitely factory quiet, but love the rifle far better. Still need to find longer screws to finish fixing rail issues for my brother.

AirMaks Arms  Katran Compact in .22 - oh Yeah!

Report: Wife loves it. 💕 I can't detail, but she has vision surgery challenges past the majority of us at any stage in life could imagine and more to deal with that will come slowly. Thus, has to use the the lefty hold as naturally being right dominant. She is darn near stacking pellets too. First, shot was a bullseye! Extremely pleasing moments for the both of us. Next, she wants the kids that are still in the nest to shoot as well. We are all relatively private people, so will not be posting pictures of any of us shooting. Oh, while waiting for her to get out of bed ... 5 less pests in the backyard property. No moderator in use ... likely, don't need one. Fun training on how to setup and use the compressor too. Good times ... share the hobby!

Thomas Air  Damaged skirts, does it really matter?

Bent skirts matter.... sometimes. I think the real questions are, how much, and to whom? If you are a competitive shooter, it's foolish to take a chance with them. If you are a casual shooter or plinker, one might think it foolish to take the time to repair them. I can shoot bottle caps at 25 yards all day with awful pellets. They would not all score 10, but an 8 or 9 gets the cap every time!
