Springer vs. PCP

yeah nice stock. I would consider camo on the barrel, pic rail and rings too.
I don't believe that theTX200 is made in a stainless steel model. Air Arms is famous for their perfect blueing, quite satisfactory on my TX200 after more than 5 years. If the stainless look is important to you, several fine Weihrauch springers are sold through Air Guns of Arizona have the stainless look.

moderator

Trying to find a moderator to quiet down my Atomic XR .177 . Have a 0db but its still loud for backyard use. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you in advanance.
0db 160 should be plenty quiet for that gun assuming the correct caliber version is used. I'm guessing you are probably using the 110 version?

Post an airgun related pic

Hi everyone,

I'm from Indonesia and currently running an RTI Priest 2 in .177. It's performing great and I'm really happy with the platform so far.

Unfortunately, it's quite difficult to get .22 caliber parts over here due to local restrictions and limited access. I'm wondering if anyone here might be able to help me source some .22 caliber parts (barrel, probe, etc.) through a forwarding or “group buy” kind of setup.

I don’t mind paying for any handling or service fees involved — I just really want to convert my Priest 2 to .22 and explore its full potential. 😊

Let me know if anyone is open to helping out, or can point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance, and happy shooting!
—Cheers from Indonesia 🇮🇩

ok, got it now.

I 3d printed the coaxial rest that you are pointing at. It's a existing design I found on the internet https://www.mrbcrc.com/3dprint.html

It works great! I mounted the 3d printed coaxial rest on top of a scissor lift I bought on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08YMZWJK3?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3&th=1
I also used an Amazon slide https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BKW6XWFG?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3&th=1

I also 3d printed the rest with ASA-CF filament.

I also 3d printed 2 level adjusters that mount on the scissor lift as shown in the picture.
You did a great job.
Thank you very much for the useful information, invaluable help from you.

Are glass optics becoming obsolete?

A cool capability of digital scopes is when they have the feature where they utilize a built in ballistic app and laser range finder to do automatic vertical compensation. As far as I know, this feature typically has insufficient compensation for >200yd ELR with an airgun. So we are stuck with clicking for the time being. In order to automatically cover the full range of shooting from very close to very far, they’ll either need a lot more pixels and resolution, or a motorized turret.

Learned to use a slide rule in 1973-1974. Electronic calculators came out and I never used my slide rule again.

I used an HP45 calculator from 1975 to 1982. Battery charge lasted a day and then recharge.

I used an HP10c calculator from 1982 to about 2005. Battery lasted years and no charging.

Diana  Diana scope rail loose

Charlies yes and no
the punch would work i guess but you still have to take the gun down to a bare tube at least in the back
now you would have to have the rifle held and the Phillips screw bucked with a screwdriver and then get in there and give a whack
now if the edge of the screw rivet has fracture off it might not be long enough to rebite
this is a little problem that is a huge PITA
those mounts that Hector used are on Ebay for a few bucks i have some that i have made Diana 5-6 mount for
but they are ugly and need to be refinished
now i hate to disagree with Hector but i will you see a Weaver mount would have be better and the why is you can get them with round bottoms
now with the round bottom the mount will always set north and south front to back it has no choice
you job would be to clock the mount top dead center, and you will have the old holes to use
but you are still in the weeds the gun still has to come apart
could it be screwed on maybe, could it be screwed on and epoxied better choice, could it be riveted on from the inside out where the rivet is peened on the outside i like that idea
BUT EVERYONE OF THOSE IS A HUGE PITA
here is that mount
https://www.ebay.com/itm/192258428863

that is my opinion and some ideas but maybe the rivet from the inside out is the best

Quietest, and most accurate

Sadly no where even close in the long hour use reliability. The "Box" only requires some o-rings ... The "Yang" some semi major parts
An hour to change the rings. Then only once a year if you run it hard. Filling a single Avenger as the OP bought you have a LOT more time on the head.

What springer did you shoot today?

I go in for another nasoendoscopy in a couple of weeks, hopefully all clear. I don’t understand your last sentence, have you seen something on the news that I haven’t.🤔
We have cedar here but nothing compared to the cedar of the Westcoast of North America. But very pricey. I call ours swamp cedar. Good luck. Crow

If you started now?

I wouldn’t change a thing. Every gun I have owned has been a source of experience and learning.
I am in the process trinmming the herd to 3 that will cover all my uses.
Looking back I wish I had bought the scuba compressor earlier but until you know the hook is firmly in your lip it is a lot of money. Well worth it of you are deep enough into the rabbit hole.
