Hatsan  Hatsan Blitz 777 (Refined Semi/Full Auto Beast) w/ 180 shots per fill (Video Review)

I just purchased the Blitz 777 after getting rid of my previous Blitz due to the full auto not working correctly and now I am having the same issues with this brand new 777. What can I do to solve this issue?

I had bad jamming problems due to my magazines being unable to keep up with the Blitz's cyclic rate. A little lubricant on the friction spots in the magazines cured it 100%.

My endcap on the barrel sometimes gets loose which can probably cause issues, and I've also heard of lead buildup after 500 or so pellets causing problems. I also opened up the side of the Blitz to lubricate anything that looked dry.

Its never about helping newcomers with less skills.

Unlimited gear classes only make it worse for new people that have neither skills or special gear.
In some cases you are correct

But our store makes a large effort to find and set up low cost equipment for entry level competitors, and we have many total packages, (air rifle, scope, bi-pod etc), that will shoot 3/4" 10 shot groups at 50 yards, that cost under $600.

That's plenty accurate enough to do well or even win if you learn the skills. We have seen it happen, so yes there are lots of folks who have the bucks and want to spend them on the best equipment they can find or think they need, or think will get them in the winners circle without the work others have to put in.. but that doesn't leave out the new comers with a small budget that want to put in the time to learn the necessary skills.

Wayne

Nickel, Dime, Dollars 😂

Hello All, this isn't anything but some thoughts from a green new comer to the sport/hobby and just wondering how deep I can dig my hole.
I recently got my first. AV Avenger Bullpup(2) 25 cal. Groundhogs, Raccoons after my chickens, paper, just plinking.
I did allot of research. AV had a summer promotion (15%) so this gun was <$400. Wow. I got a little cheap on the scope, CVLife 2-10 x 32 AO. For the money it's quite good. Compressor; open box smaller one Spiritech. $100 ($275 retail). Same overstock got a great rifle bag, $20 ($80 retail). Then, obviously, pellets.
At this point, my wife asked me, "Do you have everything you need?" ; "Are you sure you don't need anything else?" She wasn't asking to be hard about it, just rather keep our budget and understand.
So.... This is where things took a bit of a turn on me. Simple things, Silicon cloth for wipe down, muzzle cleaning patches, loctite, bubble level kit.
Ok, that outta do it. Looking great. Oops, forgot a few things. Resting it to mount the scope is making me crazy. Needed a small rifle rest. Cheap laser bore to get close(was junk, returned), basic resting sand bags, etc.
Oh, I can't be sure how this things is performing? Ask for advice, everyone said the same thing. "You need a Chrono". That sounds expensive. I found a budget Chinese one that was well reviewed and most guys here agreed.... $50.
Back to my wife; so I needed a few more things. Not overly expensive. She's completely fine but smiling with the "I knew it" look on her face. 😂
Hmmm... Maybe I should upgrade that glass? Those digital pressure gauges look nice. A moderator would do this thing some justice. Wow, some of these higher end guns look amazing. I bet it'd be easier to fill from a bottle.
I knew, like everything, this could be a real rabbit hole. I didn't realize just how much I'd love it. I'm wondering if others out there had a similar experience and where that road led them.

All my best to everyone. Sorry for the long post but it felt good to put it out there....

Petition to Allow Laser Range Finders in Field Target Competitions

More than once I've petitioned the American Airgun Field Target Board Of Governors to maintain the original purpose and roots of Field Target by, among other things, 1) Requiring targets of typical airgun quarry, 2) Outlawing targets like a) People, b) school buses, c) military tanks, 3) Outlawing stabilizers with no purpose other than adding ballast weight, 4) Reducing maximum scope magnifications, 5) Requiring yardage markings on adjustable objectives be covered (black electrical tape works well), 6) Removing forced-kneeling shots and lanes.

I suspect petitioning the WFTF to allow rangefinders will be as successful as my petitions to AAFTA; which is to say NOT. Matter of fact, it occurs to me I'd have been much more successful petitioning AAFTA for rangefinders, and the OP would be more successful petitioning the WFTF for my want-list detailed above, due to the different natures of humans each organization manages.

Americans being the worlds' most prolific consumers, Capitalists and equipment freaks, I suspect it's only a matter of time before AAFTA acquiesces about rangefinders (in one way or another, like Unlimited Class). And the majority of humans elsewhere being much more Conservative in the aforementioned regards than Americans, the WFTF would likely be more amenable to my (Conservative) ideals.

N/A  old man that is newby to air guns

shooting a springer is something you have to learn, practice and you will get good at it ,it is the spring in it ,it bounces both ways.thus it takes some getting used to;plus that is also what ruins scopes.Acheap Center Poinbt scope can work, say $100 for scope ,now add the price of your Hatsan..... practice and more practice. The thing to remember it is a lot harder than shooting a .22 mag.

Other  Reliable Chronograph

I have a Prochrono that is very temperamental. I am trying to register slow 177 cal pellets and bbs in shade or sun, but it is not recognizing them. Does anybody know of a cheap reliable chrono made for slingshots and airguns, especially 177 caliber?
If you buy the lights for your pro chrono you won't have trouble.

Taipan  Chart for Taipan Slash testing.

Taipan sent this to me the other day. I ordered the .22 and this caliber and the .177 and .30 have limited testing compared to the .25.

Notice the fill pressures ( initial pressure bar ) are all under the max 300 bar.
The .22 had only 235 bar onboard for the test, got 56 shots just below the reg pressure and the shot count seems it would be quite a bit higher with a full or close to full fill.

I would probably keep mine under 300 B as well but not as low as in the tests.

Question while we are on the topic of bad vs good quality 😆 this is a slug mass produced and I do not understand how they get this smooth almost waxy finish witch all large pellets and slug manufacturers achieve. Please can someone enlighten me. Thanks
Their lube is definitely a secret. Attached is RBT's I make with the Corbin.

Regulated or Non-Regulated

JC,
Not aware of an unregulated Umarex Gauntlet, regulated was one main reason I chose as first PCP. WM
It is regualted just not adjustable yet. My Airacuda is a standard model in 25cal and I am able to adjust the transfer port output and can get 30-40 shots on high power before I start to see a change.

Recommended O Ring Kit

Hello Nation,

I'm looking for an o'ring set that will help keep my rifles up and going. I am aware that there are vendors that sell reseal kits for certain rifles, but I'm looking for something more comprehensive and less specific. I have a Zelos that lost 500 PSI overnight, so I need to identify the leak. I also have three other rifles that will inevitably need o'rings in the future. Any recommendations?

The only fair way to "make room" for new comers with less skills, is to make the "Unlimited Class" an AAFTA class and squad that class all together in adjacent lanes so they don't end up helping the non range finding classes.

Hi, got the Presslug 2025, having iuuses with the crown, no problems for a while then unable to unscrew the crowns top screw, its stuck solid and i mean solid, anyone else have this issue...... Al
Hi, yes — it’s lead ingress between the two parts of the split die, which pushes outward and puts pressure on the ring, making it difficult to unscrew. This happened to me once as well. What lubricant are you using? I had to clamp the whole assembly in a vice and free it with a punch and hammer.

Regulated or Non-Regulated

@J.C. Welcome to Airgun Nation. I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. A better gun for what exactly from shot to shot?

A properly and efficiently tuned regulated airgun should provide the shooter pretty consistent velocity while shooting projectiles of the same weight and style from the same batch, box, tin, etc. until the airgun reservoir drops below the set point of its regulator. At this point the airgun behaves as an unregulated airgun. I don't know if this is what everyone wants so it's tough for me to say if it's better for anyone else. I shoot regulated and unregulated airguns. I shoot them for different applications. I like them both for different reasons.
Just trying to gauge if its worth getting one for shot count and consistency. The Guantlet is in 22 and shows signs of good accuracy but horrible shot count, after 20 shots it starts to drop off. Thats why I am going to do a tune kit on this weekend and replacing the tank and regulator. I am a hunter and a paper puncher but may want to get into some competitive target shooting at some point.

Benjamin  Marauder - Need Help (resolved)

I mentioned preload on the baffles, not the barrel. Doesn't matter in his case, but normal fitting baffles would slide around without that spring, not much but they would.
Yes on all my other guns and Mrods they do lol. I like it as is without the spring. Works why mess with it. Just glad my amazing accuracy is back. I love this gun. Accurate and a pleasure to shoot. Can’t make another one like it though as AGR doesn’t have the light regulated SSGs!

The game is the game.

The only fair way to "make room" for new comers with less skills, is to make the "Unlimited Class" an AAFTA class and squad that class all together in adjacent lanes so they don't end up helping the non range finding classes.

It would totally mess up the historic scores in comparison to new scores if the rules change so drastically.

The current rules have created parity among the current classes. Hunter class with the 16x scope limit has won overall high score as often as not.

And as said several times above, range finding with a scope has been and needs to continue to be, a big part of the game. It's not as big a factor as some think as was also said above. Wind reading is by far the largest reason for misses, second is probably not following through on your shot or unsteadiness. Range finding errors might be next, but probably Brain Farts could be the third reason on average.

One can also set up their scope as low as possible and lower the chance for range finding errors .. just sayin:)
