PSA: Pellets can't go through USA airport security

This will probably not happen to anyone else, but just in case...

Do not buy pellets while traveling by air without a checked bag. TSA views them the same as firearm ammo and won't let them in as carry-on. We know how stupid this is, but that's the rule and they can't be talked out of it.

If you do end up in this position, you may very well become the owner of one of the smallest checked bags in existence. (It's actually a nice bag that came with dense foam inside, worked out perfectly for me. It just cost too much because airport pricing.)

I had five tins of pellets confiscated by TSA on the way home from RMAC a couple years ago, freebies from JTS when they were new to the market. I was told they were projectiles… wasn’t worth arguing about.

Macavity Arms  Have A Macavity Arms MA2 PCP Air Rifle? You Must Read This!

I actually came over to post on AGN and see that someone already posted. Good!

For owners where your MaCavity seems to be working well, please just send it in. Trust me on this - I've seen the results of the failure this recall is about, and it can be lethal.
I did the same this morning, good thing we know how to filter 😂. I submitted my self repair request today. It would be nice to actually see the problem and potential consequences.

Airforce  IS AIRFORCE GAINING POPULARITY AGAIN?

I happen to feel the same. I owned a Talon SS for many years and when I bought it the cost was $350 dollars new. I am glad it was there and affordable and gave me a way in to PCPs, but it’s the same Airgun today, yet much more expensive and unregulated — still. I am all for low tech Airguns, believe me, but the prices are too high for what you are getting in the Condor and Talon lines. I really don’t like the handle/scope rail set up (awful design) and dovetail everything.

With all that said though I have many good memories with my Talon. It always shot, never broke, was very accurate. It just worked when I was very new to the hobby. Allowed me to just enjoy it. If I saw a good deal in the classifieds I would not be above grabbing a Condor .25 up and “tinkering” for sure. Just not at the new prices. Lol

Taking the plunge into PCP

lots of people will say that you have to get after market magazine.. might have been true for them but I had 4 good working factory magazine.. no problem with them..
I'd look at the GX compressor line..
if you are not minding hand pump then you could look at that but I wouldn't myself use a hand pump,I'd get a spring gun before I'd hand pump, but I am older and disabled so it might just be me..
the notos is a good little carbine if that's what you are looking for..
don't bother with the factory open sights unless you are going to use it as a pistol only..
Mark
I will try out a GX on it and I agree on not hand pumping.

Benjamin  Marauder bolt drag

Bolt size and thread? I often use my thumb on the back of the cap...but I can see that a little extra length would be mo bettah.
It is 5/8-18 thread. The additional length is what makes the hand squeeze work. Maybe somebody with small hands might be okay resting on the end cap though possibly uncomfortable.

Benjamin 2600 re-seal

Also…is there any chance their is any relevant video showing reseal..for some context I graduated from the Bulova School of Watch Making in 1976…got immediately side tracked several years with Family Mining business then finally back to Watchmaking 40 years ago . Did a stint of Gunsmithing from 1990 to 2001 certified Colt Single action Army and semi-automatic Gas and Recoil auto..Notw71 and really enjoying the new challenge on SSP..multi pump air and ….co2 is for some reason kicking my butt on this 2600..HOWEVER I did successfully rebuild a Crosman600 as my first co2 and runs great ( some timimg adjustments…cool. ) go figure. :-/. Long winded here but just…saying hello..!! Randy

Can you fill my 4500 PSI Scott carbon fiber tank? Bakersfield California area!

Try a paintball store or paintball field. Unless you want to come to Valencia and buy my Tuxing 032. Listed in the classifieds. Make me an offer.
Going off conversation! I was just wondering if you happen to know a girl from Chatsworth hills I would believe her name was Lisa Desenso with some brothers one was Chris Grant that I knew very well if the 1972 is your birthday that puts you around her age!?

Randolph front rest

I just checked and my iPhone is doing the same thing. I went to the bottom of the page and hit visit webpage. It open up to their web page without an issue. I did call them 2 weeks ago and place an order with.

I do have one of their front rest and it works great. I have 3 tops for it and use 2 tops all the time.

I’ve had 3 different joy stick rest and not a fan of them.
Ok cool I will try it then. Like I said I'm trying to figure out which way to go. Just front no joystick , joystick or just use my phoenix and rear bag.

Question while we are on the topic of bad vs good quality 😆 this is a slug mass produced and I do not understand how they get this smooth almost waxy finish witch all large pellets and slug manufacturers achieve. Please can someone enlighten me. Thanks
There is a tumbling process which is followed, Zan used walnut and cork media initially, NSA uses ultrasonic agitator, So that why they look as the image youv've posted.

I've tried some paintball places and if you don't know someone there they won't do it unless it's a certified tank same as the fireman they used to do it in Reno for me cuz I grew up in new them all and I tried it to Larry they won't do it unless it's certified and that's about like with everybody scuba tanks and places and all unless you know them they won't do an uncertified tank and unless you have your own compressor and mine's broke you really can't get it done! I got all the stuff and rebuilt my young hang compressor and it just isn't putting out air but I was going to get back to fixing it when I got back but I was going on a vacation to my daughters and went through Bakersfield and was hoping I could find someone private!? Well I'm just past Bakersfield I'm going on to her place in Hughes lake California but I'd be willing to drive back into Bakersfield if you or someone could possibly fill it it's at 2,000 PSI but it just doesn't do much at that pressure for my guns!? Thank you
