Tuxing TXEDT032 4500 psi Compressor problems

That gold thing is the intake, the line out is the “exhaust”.
It is both. It is primarily for pressure equalization in the crank case. That is the new high pressure head style.

Mine arrived yesterday.
Not thrilled.
Does not appear the tube from the low side will reach.

Benjamin  Sterling HR 83 .22 and .177 - Anyone else shooting HR 83

The Sterlings have plastic piston rings and a plastic buffer at the end, a similar setup to an FWB 300 series. They appear to be prone to piston damage from slamming into the end of the cylinder; I've seen several. I would recommend disassembling the gun and inspecting the end of the piston closely before shooting it. It's hard to see it, but the one in the attached pictures even had signs of piston slam, in which the end was smashed and the front ring was locked in the groove. Ended up using an adapter and resized a 26mm seal from Vortek. A spring compressor is needed.

Hatsan  Thinking of owning a Hatsan jet 1

Every single one that I know personally, that has had one, including mine, would fail and often. I don't usually try to tell anyone not to buy anything, even from hatsan as I do like some of their rifles. But this one is not it, please do yourself a favor by not wasting your money on one, and instead getting a notos. It is regulated, it has a smidge, more power and it gets about as many shots, plus if down the line you wanna customize it, you can. There are plenty of threads on this forum of notos being customized.

For me, sometimes it would not want to take in air. I would have to fill it with a tank while shooting it so that the valve was actually shut and Phil. Sometimes it wouldn't even allow me to fill it when I was doing it. Also, with mine, I had to clean the barrel every eighty shots or so, which tells me that the barrel needed an extensive polishing. I was not putting in the work into a budget backup gun. Accuracy was subpar, when I first got it, I thought accuracy was okay, but later on I got a notos and I realized that the accuracy from the jet was entirely subpar.
I've seen this sentiment and seems to be a common problem with the Jet I, what about the newer iterations?

Suggest a Night Vision Scope

Hey guys

Can you let me know what you recommend. I haven’t honestly a clue about night vision optics or scopes. Thermal vs digital vs IR etc

Here’s my situation. I am not looking for live recording, live broadcasting, I just want a good optic, and I’m not using this for rimfire, this is for air rifles only.

Also, I only need 50 yards or less. It’s really just for backyard pesting, small stuff, mice, rats, up to raccoons possibly. Nothing more.

If anything, it’s possible I’d consider a ballistic calculator or range finder but it’s not essential.

What do you suggest?

I am hearing there’s a lot of technical issues, firmware issues, etc with these night scopes, maybe that’s not fair or true for all.

What do you suggest?
While I don’t want to spend much, I also don’t want to waste money on crap that I will just get a bad experience with and have to buy again….

Ok, let me know your thoughts ;)

My adventure using a RAW HM1000X for NRL22

I wound up not shooting the PRS match with the RAW because I didn't have time to setup DSF numbers in my Kestrel, plus that club doesn't support the Air Rifle division so I would have been shooting in Open class. I shot my Bergara, and I'm still having ammo issues where I'm getting low shots after 5 or 6 stages. Eley Match tends to create little wax boogers in the barrel, so the issue might be fixed by running a patch through the barrel every 3 or 4 stages.

I shot the RAW for my NRL22 match Sunday. The good news is I didn't let Cloud beat me with his RAW. The bad news is I still struggled on the close KYL target stage, I dropped 8 shots on that stage. The really bad news is that one of the other shooters went on an absolute tear, which means I only got 66 points for the match. (In NRL, all of your points are based on the overall winner's score, not the division high score. In PRS, your points are based on the scores within the division). So I'll need to shoot the Abilene match to try to make up some NRL points. The problem is that the guy that usually wins the Abilene match shot a 512.6 to my 351.6, so I'm going to need to pick up some shots and talk him into shooting my Avenge X.

Cloud gave me some of the magic Corbin slugs to try out. If I can get them shooting decent, I'll probably shoot the RAW at the next PRS match. I'll post some groups in a day or two once I get a chance to try them out. I shot a couple of mags Sunday and they did as good or better than the H&N Precisions at 50 and 100 yards at 960 FPS with the hammer spring maxed out. I've added a couple of shims to the hammer spring to see if I can get them up to 980-990 fps. This is with the double hammer spring, not the stock spring. Reg is still set to 180 bar.

Hopefully Wednesday will be testing day, then I can go to the longer range club and set my DSF out to 350 yards on Friday.

AEA challlenger nova.177 loves seneca hunting pellets, whats everyone else using?

We also had 20mph wind while I was shooting, maybe wind was pushing everything off target and the seneca on target? Have to try again in calmer weather.
I have to say I was shocked, my .25 does ok with seneca but loves apolo 33gr slugs, and my marauder in 177 shoots anything and does exceptionally well with nsa slugs, the seneca won't fit the magazine on the marauder.
I'm glad you found that Seneca that works. I have a little Crosman M4 .177 took me 6 months to find out it liked the JSB RS EXACT 7.33 with 10 pump's.

new guy here,optics question

Perhaps some new members are intimidated at asking question in case there are negative responses? ;)
Well, the OP has already seen his first negative response -- mine. I feel a lot better now that I went out back and shot the living hell out of my targets. Sometimes that's all it takes to fix a wrong-side-of-the-bed day. I'm not usually so grumpy.

Newbie (with physical limitations) needs your Experienced Input/Confirmation Please

Ok. As far as the Sig M17 pistol goes it can done with one hand just turn the belt clip over to open it load pellets, and push into place with a tooth pick after breaking point off. The mag is drop free the belt clip ejects out , and the CO2 CARTRIDGE is punctured via a lever the only thing that's hard in this set up is to open that tin of pellets very hard to do one handed.lol.
