Regarding weighing pellets - The scale matters.....

You guys sort of allude to what I thought from the very first day I starting weighing .177 pellets - what weight pellet was the gun shooting the day it was tested? I am reasonably sure AoA did not first find five, 10.34gr pellets when they set my BRK up to 20ftlbs. They likely grabbed whatever was in the can of 10.34's, loaded the clip, and grouped up shots on a card until they were happy with the results.

What I found after weighing my first 500 pellet can of JMB's is only 6% were at the stated 10.34gr weight. This lead me to surmise that as long as the gun is tuned to say, pellets from 10.32 to 10.42 grains, your shots will likely be more effected by the gun & shooter. So now I just want to learn which pellets go in the plinking bucket and which ones can go to a FT match. I am particular about all the same points made by Geneeus wrt the scale accuracy and repeatability over the course of what turns out to be a couple hours at a time sorting. I feel a scale must read accurately to 0.001 grams to be useful at 0.02 grains resolution. Appreciate your input!

Shot SHOW 2025 and American Airgunner VIDEOS HERE FIRST

The JTS showing of ( XISICO ) air tube over barrel, Bolt cocking rifles are being currently marketed under the BARRA 250Z branding.
if you look closely at the barra vs jts in the shot show videos, they are actually a little bit different.. I think more pelenium in the jts just from gauge spacing..🤔 but I don't know if that's better or not.. more pelenium might be more power but it could also be less shots..

N/A  Newbie looking to buy used complete set up

Hello... I hate to ping you again but I sent my last ally the compressors forgetting to add this.
I apologize as sometimes I can be long winded. Also, being new and green, I jump on any chance I can get to ask a few questions.
In this case, Day/Night scopes, especially with recording options are super super cool. I just wonder how much advantage you get versus just lighting up the target zone?
I really struggle with the price points on scopes. For my Avenger Bullpup I went with the CVLife 2-10x32 MPVO AO Rifle. It's 9" long which I wanted to trim. AO is a must. It's illuminated. Price: $100.
It came with a single piece cantilever mount which was perfect on my Avenger Bullpup 2. One thing,. It is a 1/2 MOA not the typical 1/4. Otherwise it's crisp and clean. It's held zero spot on so far, maybe 200 shots?
I just can't get a clean answer why spend big money on the scope. I know we need good or even great but the $1500 super top tier, why?
From my recent self education and research, it seems the price point of $200-$300 gets the very most bang for buck. After that, big dollar steps for very small sometimes not noticable features.
Getting the etched reticle, high quality glass, high end components, side parallax adjustment, repeatable/nice click turrets.
This didn't touch on the rings, even more puzzling than the optic itself.
Anyway, just my (probably naive) thoughts.

Thanks so much for listening I'm sure I'll get these pieces put together someday. For now, I absolutely love my setup.

The advantage is stealth. Depends where you live, lots of factors.

Maybe you don't live in an area where shining flash lights letting all your neighbors know what you are doing is a big deal, who knows, there are lots of advantages to night vision or companies wouldn't sell them ( same with moderators ), and for the price I recommended it has ability to record in HD. With other scopes it requires all kinds of accessories and mounting options for separate cameras later. Another rabbit hole that is eliminated. But with this it has all they need for a reasonable price, way cheaper then other night vison options and punches at least $1000 above its weight according to many reviewers with comparison footage.

Its all about being prepared for where you are now and in the future. If you just purchase what you need now you will spend more as things change in future. Everyone's situation and set up is different, I respect yours and it may work for you but that doesn't mean it is right for all others and their situations.

There is that kind of reasoning as well. Its all in the details. I am not sure you can call a $350 scope expensive, especially with night vision lol

I mean you could just go with the plastic scopes they give you with some air rifles, they are light weight, plastic and have glass or what looks like glass, they have some sorta knob on them that does something and cross hairs that you can see in the dark with a flashlight.

Everyone has their methods. I just shared my recommendations based I what OP said, hunting what looks like to be nocturnal pests and night vision. Those are things he asked about in his posts.

So I gave him options to think about. It was not a debate as to who thinks their smarter or my setup is better then yours and it just doesn't make sense to me. Rather it was a good recommendation for what the poster asked within his budget or at least I thought so. The poster didn't ask about a flashlight but I admit if you really want to get as cheap as possible you could shoot dried corn out of a DIY slingshot I guess and with a flashlight.

There are people who can not justify a millionaire riding around in a old beat up pickup truck. The OP asked for options and thoughts. I gave him my mine on options in detail within his budget based on what he asked. Just my two cents. If you want a more expensive air gun the option to by it used is there. But there are plenty of air guns that are capable for $300 and under. Do research and ask questions. The OP appears to be doing that. That's a very good start. You could be normal or you could be the guy on video who recommends to buy American while his wife pulls in the driveway behind him with a Volkswagen. Who knows! lol Not everyone is into the Blair witch project with a flashlight hunting experience. Just my sense of humor. No offenses taken and hopefully your not offended. I liked your recommendation post response by the way.

N/A  Low powered guns

During pellet - tuning testing I found my .117 M3 was most accurate and precise at 20 yards indoors with the RWS MEISTERKLUGEN 10 meter 7 grain competition air pistol wadcutter pellet and the H&N Baracuda FT 9.57 grain domed pellet with the Macro set to 1, the Micro set to 1.5 and the air valve at 3., with the regulators at 120/70 bar.

This setup produces 11.5 to 12 fpe and is very quiet and very accurate and can be very precise if I am shooting my best. I have produced a 5 round group with the H&N pellet that was 0.191" edge to edge at 20 yards indoors.

GK1 .30 Cal and Mini Configuration Pre-Order Now

I found the old email and Here's what Kraz said "
Huben emailed saying dealers could order the items starting mid September. They did not say when they would be completed or shipping anything in .30

Dealers are assuming once they buy it Huben can ship within a month and to me that is very presumptuous based on Huben’s track record
well Kelly is the Huben GK1 guy.. not sure what is different if anything on the compact that it sounds like Huben is going to offer.. but Kelly has the standard, shorty and super shorty.. available in 177,22&25..
so the only thing I see new is that there's going to be a 30 caliber..
I assume all the dealers will have them.
but since airstrike hasn't responded to me yet I'm not going to hold my breath, because I can text Kelly any day and he'll send me a price for everything except the 30..
I do have a American tactical liberty nova in 22.. I wonder if they do rebuilding, just a slow leak on mine and I have already gotten the o ring kit from captain o ring.. but there's a lot of o rings in that gun and honestly I'd prefer to find a reputable place that will service it..
I bought it from aoa and I would have expected that they would service it but no.. so I'll have to think twice about any future orders from them.. seeing how they sold them and they also rebuild other guns.. I'm sorta disappointed in that.

Side shot phone vs gopro

They were hunting feral hogs which are legal to shoot with thermal scopes in Arkansas. Racoons are also legal but you must be hunting with a dog. You must get a permit to hunt coyote on private land and you can use thermal. The permit is free. That being said, I do shoot rats at night with both thermal and NV and I have not found anywhere in the hunting regs saying that I can or cannot do that. Most folks don't get too upset if you are getting rid of rats!

What pistol did you shoot today

I came across another basement bargain …like new …2 barrel set…Crosman .357 pistol.…put in a new Fire Stick…no leaks …put a few down range ..tweak the sights…put 10 in each target 🎯 4” barrel on the left and 6”barrel on the right…I guess 2”really does matter…lol…with all these clips..I need a bigger plinking area now

Fastest Pellet Sorter in the Works

The auto sorter is a great Arduino task for sure!
I am really curious about this process. I just started weighing pellets, and to do so, picked up a Tree TSC 123 multi-unit balance. The Tree TSC is accurate to .001 grams with a resolution of 0.02 grains when in "grains" mode. The scale takes a few seconds to zero after a measurements, so even if I could load pellets as fast as I could, the scale cannot zero that quickly without introducing error.

What I would like to know is how you all are setting the ranges for go, no-go pellets?

I started with this: JMB .177 10.34gr, 500 pellet cans. My sort groups are under 10.30gr, 10.32-10.34gr, 10.36-10.38gr, 10.40-10.42gr, 10.44-10.46gr, and 10.48 and up. After my first full can I can tell you that only 6% were in the 10.32-10.34gr range, 27% were 10.36-10.38, and almost 41% were in 10.40-10.42gr. (notable mention: 10.44-10.46gr, 20%). My problem with the sorter is more that the strain gauge must be a capable of measuring from 0 to 100 grains or so, and do so with a very rapid measure and re-zero cycle. Can you get this system to do that? Have you checked pellets after sorting on a balance to see how well it's weighing?

HW/Weihrauch  THEOBEN HW/90 ADJUSTABLE GAS RAM

I was looking at a new .20 caliber HW90 for $840 with the adjustable gas ram. I wanted to know if anyone has ever tuned this down for as little recoil as possible , and used a lighter pellet to keep up the speed , and accuracy?
You simply remove the screw in the back, exposing the schrader valve. You tap on it ever so slightly to lessen the power. When you are finished with the chrony work, put the screw back into place.
However, you'll need a brocock pump or similar to bring the power back up. I've shot these guns at full power, and their accuracy is great. Recoil at full power isn't for everyone, but the accuracy is there.

Tuxing TXEDT032 4500 psi Compressor problems

That gold thing is the intake, the line out is the “exhaust”.
It is both. It is primarily for pressure equalization in the crank case. That is the new high pressure head style.

Mine arrived yesterday.
Not thrilled.
Does not appear the tube from the low side will reach.

Benjamin  Sterling HR 83 .22 and .177 - Anyone else shooting HR 83

The Sterlings have plastic piston rings and a plastic buffer at the end, a similar setup to an FWB 300 series. They appear to be prone to piston damage from slamming into the end of the cylinder; I've seen several. I would recommend disassembling the gun and inspecting the end of the piston closely before shooting it. It's hard to see it, but the one in the attached pictures even had signs of piston slam, in which the end was smashed and the front ring was locked in the groove. Ended up using an adapter and resized a 26mm seal from Vortek. A spring compressor is needed.
