Following. This is a problem for me. I'm trying to figure out if it is operator error or some other factors such as temp shift for PCP. I can shoot in cool 70+ degree, and then go to 90 degrees in the noon sun. I wonder if this is a major cause of POI shift for PCP.

I believe it is an issue and not just with FX. I have seen people report other makers guns doing the same, just not near as often as FX.
I own several of the most offensive FX guns and it is not an issue for me. My Maverick and neither of my M3’s have suffered the malady unless dropped or some other form of impact has occured and it has to have been significant. It has only happened a few times and both were due to Impacts on the gun.
I had an interesting thing happen this year shooting an indoor league. I thought I was fighting my Maverick 600mm 22. The gun is very accurate but would be shooting 10 rings regularly when I did my part and then would shift low and left. The low and left shots were consistent and overlap the targets presented very good groups. This went on for several weeks until I noticed the gauge for the bottle was reading higher than the tank gauge while filling. Further study showed the bottle gauge was reading 45-50 bar higher than the fill tank gauge. I can usually get 3 full 18 round magazines
+ 6-7 more shots shooting 25.39 pellets. The league is a 30 target course with unlimited sighters. I run the gun with the second reg @ around 135 bar. With the bottle gauge only filling to 195-200 bar I was falling off the reg when I thought I had plenty of air.
Is this the cause of all suspected POI shifts? I doubt it very seriously. However, it is one of many things that can cause a gun to suffer POI shift.
I believe also that the popularity of high magnification FFP scopes with parallax adjustment are another cause because I do not think to many people know how or go through the trouble of making sure their parallax adjustment is as good as it possibly can be. These scopes are particularly fussy at their higher magnifications and at very close range. I will confess that Both the Impact and the Maverick cheek rests are miserable and need an after market riser for them to work for me. Change your cheek weld and you have POI shift.
I agree it happens but I also believe there are more instances where there is a practical and preventable cause.

I have an RWS 34 in 0.177 caliber that was inadvertently left cocked for several months. It didn't lose any velocity at all. In fact, it actually gained a few fps!

Not a pistol but what the heck, still a Lego gun! Designed an adapter to extend the trigger length of pull. Fits like a glove.

When I saw @kaylaindy s post I was like wow, that's messed up it happened to both of the DRS s he shot. And then it happened to mine! I had never heard of this either.

The Marauder is probably one of the simplest and least leak prone PCPs. The rifle needs to be resealed. And it would be prudent to determine first where it is leaking from.

Tightening the hammer spring adjustment or TP restriction has nothing to do with a leak or no leak.

Good point! I did try to convince them, but I wasn't a jerk about it so maybe that helped.

I don't really know what I'm doing, but I have a bottle of Snoop fluid. I put some around the threads of the fill nozzle, no bubbles. Same with around the air bottle attachment, the regulator gauge, and the bottle gauge. I assume that the bubbles would appear immediately if there was a leak?

I've never really posted much in any forums over the years, mostly a life long lurker. There are a several guns I want to pick up in the classifieds so I'm going to pick so need to post more I guess.

Like you said…run it til it quits. When it does 250 or 275 (forget) bucks for a whole new drop in piston assembly.
Do they sell replacement roller bearings for that rod connection?

Got a bunch of nice springers and vintage Sheridan/ Benji pumpers from other eras of my life also.

I've gone off the deep end. Bought a Notos and was stunned, regulated for less than 250bucks! My nine year old son was putting 10 shots into an inch at 15yds first time he ever shot. Then came bottle conversions ect. The Zelos was a revelation, externaly adjustable reg, one hole groups at 25yds out of the box!

I definitely think better performance in optics goes up at a much more gradual pace than the price paid for those performance improvements. You pay a lot more for a little better, especially when you get into that mid tier level. The super expensive ones aren’t that huge of a jump (except price) Especially today.

my cap guns from youth had better triggers ! !

Swapped medium rings for tall on the EQ. Tall is much mo better.

Slapped both the Mrod and the EQ with the patchworm. Gotta find some soda straws. Getting that weed-whacker line out the muzzle without it was no fun. Had to pull the shroud on both...but no problem, really.

Definitely strange as I don’t remember ever reading about this problem until now. Never when the gun first came out . Glad you got it going without mangling anything.
