Recommendations on small tanks

Look for a paintball tank of 90 inches or so and a fill station valve with the right thread as a buddy bottle or a commercial jb guppy tank etc. That with a small compressor can keep you going pretty well. You don't have to wait for the compressor to fill your gun and you can fill the bottle with a check valved foster while you shoot and still be able to charge your gun. If that makes sense. I can elaborate more later if needed but it's time to work. Good luck and have a great day!
Thank you.

FX  FX DRS Won't Cock (How to Fix) Mag also stuck in gun...

Ok. Tried ⅛ turn counter clockwise on first stage. Didn’t work. Trigger is very light, so I increased the second stage break to make the trigger a litter heavier. That didn’t work either. After shooting, if it won’t cock, I have to touch the trigger and pull it till it hits the back wall then it resets, and I can cock it. It’s gotta be something in the trigger setting to cause it not to reset.
You may have to adjust some more on the 1st, try another 1/8". Hopefully your shear or the Pac-Man wheel is not damage. Form past experience, I had this issue when the 1st stage was adjusted way to light.

eBay restrictions on California buyers - I’ve had enough!

I lived in the state of Mass which airguns were legal to buy and sell, but there were some municipalities that outlawed possession of them. So to stay safe Amazon and others deny sales the entire state. I believe it is a smart business decision on their part.
I'm from MA. I don't know of any areas that outlaws them because they are legal in the state and you can get them when of legal age. Their usage; however, is different. Some towns ban any discharge even from airsoft. That's when you just have to join a range. I have all the legal licenses and Amazon won't ship them and that's silly, especially a 15 minute drive to New Hampshire and you can get any air stuff without any questions.

I use this one when I want to take a smaller bottle with me. I've had it for years problem free. Valve works fine and very smooth. Male foster to fill, 18" hose with female foster, 4500 fill, carbon fiber, 2 gagues. I like it

Field Target is an arms race.

I'm not surprised by your 13% improvement. It's likely multifactorial....the most obvious, and germane to this topic, is the equipment. But you've also been doing this longer now, so practice and experience. And the placebo effect of feeling you've now got the ultimate gun/scope combination is probably at play too.

So what were your misses? Mis-ranged? Brain fart/wrong holdover? Incorrect wind read? General instability? (And in a MUCH lower prevalence....flyers?)
Most all misses were related to targets with very small or illegal sized KZ's. For instance if i missed a target using holdover... i would then dial in the correct clicks and try again and the target would fall... so mostly holdover challenges, i didn't count the reshoots as it was just a dope validation.
Other misses had to do with me facing into an afternoon setting sun. I'm going to put my other NX8 on my other Redwolf and run the course the same way and time next weekend and see what the Gun V Scope, stats look like.

Sounds like you need to slightly adjust your 1st stage on the trigger. I would start with a 1/8" @ a time clockwise. Downside, messing with one part of the trigger screws up other adjustments, like the safety is one.

Greetings,

I am brand - new to air gunning and looking at buying a portable, small SCBA tank (I have an Umarex Zelos rifle). Can anyone give me some guidance? Also, I plan on trying to fill it with my CS4- I compressor.

Do I need to buy a male - to- male connector? Thanks in advance!

Issues with brand new GX CS4 compressor

I wasn't criticizing you just trying to understand the problem.

It sounds like you have a gunked up check valve. Cleaning out is the far better option that using water, even though I understand they don't want to have a new user tearing into it, so this is their best shot at clearing it.

I could go long on this post, but the short answer is, it's time for a replacement. It's over the average user pay grade and you should have to deal with this.

Benjamin  Optimum velocity

Like max trouble said, 800 to 900 on diabolo pellets, you may be able to stray higher or lower but if it's like my gen 1 mrod 25 you won't get too far past 900. Ironically the exact king is the only one that will go. As fast as 850 out of my gun but at that speed it's very very accurate and consistant. Mines old as heck and is a gm barrel version.

N/A  I think we need a new caliber among .25 and .30 for hunting and Target shooting

Mold selection to small..Not enough power to take advantage of the high BC bullet . Best bullets will be from 135gr n up . There is a 100gr BT but no reports about how it has worked.. 257 has the best mold selection n now tj has 1-8 n 1-9 twist to go with the 90gr to 100gr pils .
A custom gun would have a custom mold I would assume. I don't see a point going as large as 284 or 30 personally, but it doesn't mean my take is good. 284 is just one of my pet pb bores. 110 fbhp have worked out of a 7rm but why bother... I love the pursuit of something just to see if we can, but even this I'm not fired up about. I'd rather see more optimization of the currently popular bore size projectiles in air rifles.

How many times in the pb world have we been served up something new that is almost an analog of something old.

Daystate  Blackwolf owners discussion

A couple of hours this afternoon confirming the setup and accuracy of my Daystate BlackWolf TAC .177 HP with the VoluMax extended plenum added 👍😃🎯

Pushing JSB KO 13.43 gr at 1003 FPS and 30 FPE with only 95 bar on the Huma regulator!

Got the red spring installed 👍

What barrel are you using? Is it a slug barrel 23 or a 28?

Compressor Safety

I dunno what the inside diameter is on the microbore hose but I wouldnt want to get smacked with one. The 1/4" i.d. hoses at 10k psi whip around enough to break watermelons.

I've never seen a failure like that. The hose bursts I've seen involved the hose staying connected at both ends. The hose expands in a bulb shape, usually near one of the connectors, cracks develop and the air is let out in a bang. So there was no whipping motion.

I imagine one of the easiest ways for a noob to have a hose failure is if the hose has one-way valves and you don't have all the correct pressure-relief valves for the situation. Or if the hose is reversible with one-way valves, etc.

Field Target is an arms race.

Im kind of surprised of any improvement unless it was just conditions or whatever. The Thomas setup is not much more accurate than a RW. Not sure how you can really improve on 1/2 MOA or better at 50y from a RW. Its so minute at the difference that I dont see anyones score going up from it. Benchrest, possibly a tad but thats it. I shoot with too many of each. Its more the person understanding how to use their tools and have the dope and ranging setup right and handling the conditions properly. I beat many RWs and Thomas with my Marauder. You can buy accuracy to a point.
