Obviously WE love competing - If you're a competition shooter, come shoot with us in April at the Northeast Airgun Classic (registration opens Feb 5th).

This fall we had tags in several different states and wanted to get a deer in each one.

We also had a GREAT time shooting an Airgun vs Fruit video for our YouTube channel a couple of months ago.

So tell us, what do YOU use your airgun for?

Now that I’m retired and when the weather is really nice it really is enjoyable to go to the gun club on weekdays and have the place all to myself and just plink away.
The rest of the time I have two maple syrup permissions to pest on. I typically find a good spot and am able to sit and wait, and they show up. Sometimes I’m there 3 or 4 hours and manage to sneak in a nap. A warm fall day with all the trees changing color is nirvana.

I'm with you, retired and able to do the same . I relish the airgun "ranges" that I have available almost anywhere I go. I leave the PB public ranges alone on the weekends , and only go during the week ( and mostly when the weathers bad ) if I shoot PB's. I pest/ varmint shoot almost daily at my dairy permission and usually do a couple night rat shoots a week.

Hang out back and target shoot with small caliber rifles .
(.25 -) and mostly plink. With higher cal (.30 cal +) Longer range bird, rabbit, squirrel, coyote, any varmint will do hunting.

What would be some examples for the "other" category? Outside of pest control and paper shooting, I'll shoot tin cans, cow patties, rocks, water and anything that'll I think will yield interesting results. So I voted for pest control and figured recreational would cover everything else. I just wasn't sure what the "other" category was for.
Might sound corny to some......but as a kid I always had a pair of 6 guns (AKA: toy Colt 45's) strapped to my waist. Watched every Cowboy movie John Wayne ever made. The Duke is still my hero! So when the "Legends" series by Umarex launch the Colt 45 Duke, I had to have it along with a Remington 1875 and holster and practice my "quick" draw skills. 😜 Probably qualifies as paper shooting but might qualify as "other"?? 🤷‍♂️

I love the challenge of learning the tune desired by a particular air rifle and then studying the ballistics of either slugs or pellets. Lately it’s been mostly slugs. Applying what I’ve learned to develop a drop chart and then a turret tape for my scope. Then finally testing everything out in the field on ground squirrels to see if all the work comes together and pays off. There are so many variables and a million avenues of discovery when it comes to airgun ballistics. I LOVE it.

I like target shooting mostly, some pest control and small game hunting is always an option. Mostly I like the challenge of benchrest shooting. I’ve always been a perfectionist which has its good and bad sides. In retirement I’ve found it easy to be good at sitting in my comfy chair and reading AGN. Benchrest shooting provides the challenges and frustrations of achieving the perfect shot 75 times. It’s also something I can do at home.

Pesting, small game ,targets anything and everything I can ( within legality!!!)lol
Lately though I have been setting up and trying truck shots . You know shooting something to put something else in motion or start a chain reaction kinda like a line of dominos.definitely open to ideas and suggestions.. impact m3 compact.22 with a few mods ..attached are a few 10 shot groups at 75 yards and a squirrel at close to 90 yds
