You can't cure stupid...

Darwinism? I think not. Practically harmless demonstration.
Although I would not play like this "any more" that is relatively benign compared to what we did as kids in the 1960's. ;)
People are too paranoid these days due to excessive media hype, sensationalism and downright lies! :(
Propaganda used on the American public was signed into law about 4 years ago by then president O'Bummer! :( :(

Man those m80s were some serious firecrackers!!!
i know a father and son that were backed up to a lake and throwing m80s out over it for the huge echo and explosion but one of them went off early and removed 3/4 of the sons hand and left the Father permanently Def in one ear with partially disfigured face as they were sitting side by side in the back of their van near the waters edge.
I've had my share of the real m80s but after that accident I gained a whole alot of caution and responsibility with them.
Kids today have no clue to as how powerful the old m80s were.

The M80's, also known as Baby Giants, TNT Bombs, Cherry Bombs, would literally blow fingers off kids hands. Every year, there would be some little kid that had this happen. I was afraid of these and wanted to keep my fingers and we would lite these on the ground or with a can of top of it and run like hell away from them. Then, one year they didn't have any, they were banned. I remember they cost 2 for a nickel and 35 cents for a huge package for the Black Cats.

"Imold"Good old Black Cat and Zebras and Lady Fingers for the children......and can't forget the M80 days...
Deja and Imold,

You guys are showing your age. I as well, by acknowledging what a true M80 was back in the day. Not some flimsy fire cracker wrapped 100 times with red paper. Please, a fire cracker is a fire cracker no matter how you dress it. Only the old times know what a true M80 is. Boy, the good old days. When a M80 was placed under a heavy duty steel city garbage can and propel it into the air by about 15'. That was a blast. Guys what I am about to say please don't judge me for it. I was young and stupid but dang it was so much fun. We had packs of m80's and would go up to the roof of buildings, wait for cars to come by and time it so that when we threw it a car would roll fight over it and BOOM! Hub caps would fly off from the cars. Yeah the good old days. Sigh. Boy do I miss them.

Back in a simpler time fireworks were very real- lots of 70+ yr. old people cant count to ten or hear you, if you can.-I was a 70s teen, making a black cat zip gun that shot pedal crank bearings and making a bomb outta all your fireworks was not a homeland problem .Or playing war with bb guns- took the lying outta if you were hit .nothing like getting stung or stinging a friend from a little distance with a 760 or 880 with 2 or 3 pumps in a 1 pump rule war -Darwinism at its finest

I come from a time when you could easily and legally obtain dynamite and caps for stump and rock removal. Once you have "played" with it everything else seems like those itsy bitsy lady firecrackers. Bear in mind all this was done on vast acreages of empty land far from city and homes and after being educated properly in safe handling techniques. ;)

Coffee can and a soup can, fill coffee can with about 2" of water, cut the end off the soup can and poke a hole in the center of the other end of soup can, stick black cat or zebra in small hole in soup can about 3/4 of the way in,set open end of soup can in coffee can with water, light fuse and watch that soup can go about 25 to 50+ feet into the air...we could spend hours doing this and for some strange reason it was funnier then heck.
Cant forget pop bottle rocket wars either another fun time passing thing to do until someone gets smacked. Yep 60's and 70's were fun if you can remember most of it hahaha.
