WRABF…..ERABSF…..USARB 25 meterTarget post 11/30/15

Thanks! It was a little frustrating... First I forgot to latch the box I had my sorted pellets in, thereby mixing them all up when they all spilled out in the range box... Then not catching the wind changes, no wind flags past 5y and I hung a piece of masking tape off the frame. Was so close to my first 250... one little change I missed... Oh well it was a nice time.

Shot in the local club 25m and 100m today. It was windy! At its lightest 3-5mph at its worst 20+mph, on average through the match 12-15mph. Mostly blowing directly at us, with switches to the left and right. I had fits with the wind. I forgot my flags and was using those next to me and missed several switches. Ending up finishing in the bottom of the open class.

Percula, you get an "A" for effort man. You shot better than I can in the wind. It drives me bananas. I probably wouldn't have even tried?LOL
Don't know how you guys can dope those crazy winds at all!
It's cold down here in the dirty south. In the 20's and supposed to drop into the teens tonight. No shooting for me for quite a while.
Thanks for sharing.

Good shooting Perc! However I suggest you ditch everything except JSB 13.4 Monsters. And even then, you need to test many lots of Monsters to find the ones that shoot well in your barrel.

Ideally the barrel/pellet combination shoots close to perfect in zero wind conditions (indoors). Then outdoors you hold off for wind but not BS.

And you can't do this without flags, and without practicing (learning) with your flags.

This is our nice time of year, high was around 70°F with clam to light winds. A few clouds passing through. It's pretty wonderful from October thur May'ish. It can be pure hell from June'ish thru September'ish with highs >120°F. Every summer we have people think they are tougher than the sun and end up dead. I think with all the nice weather its one of the reason we have such a huge shooting community here.
