When will new fx twist x barrels be available.

What a marketing disaster...by the time they ever do become available all of the people who would have purchased them are so pissed off about waiting so long that now no one wants to buy them. All the excitement and enthusiasm as evaporated...now they are going to be stuck with thousands of skinny little liners that no one wants. But according to a friend at AOA they make great "tent pegs"!

You haven't lived life until you've shot a spitball out of one.

A good "tent peg" can be a thing of beauty!

One of the first 100 yd groups of 5 shots shot so far with my STX Crown.

Kind regards, Harry.

"aussiegav"Nice shooting Harry. Good to see the Crowns all sorted after the shipping disaster.
Thanks Gav. The Crown's replacement for the barrel broken by Australia Post is the goods. The rabbit score currently stands at 206. Average range about 60 yards but with quite a number 90 to 100+ yd. Our farm is now safe for a PP Board pest inspection!

If you expand the pic you will see that the POA was in fact the painted head of an actual tent peg. The group would fit on the hammered flat of the old tent peg which is supporting the plow disc.

For anyone interested - the velocity with original Kings, I am using, is 865 to 875 fps which I have establshed as the top end of the highest bc plateau which seems to be from about 830 to 880 on tests I ran from 930 down to 750 fps using the Labradar chronograph.
Apologies to Keyman if this is perceived as an OP hyjack. I will eventually make an FX Crown post to add to all those gone before. There are still a few things that have not yet been recorded.
Best regards, Harry.

Harry that’s an incredible group. 1/2moa at 100y!
Wish I’d had some more time to shoot my crown lately.
I would think that producing the liners isn’t as hard as the testing and trying to give the best barrel for a specific projectile. They have set the benchmark now with the normal .25Kings but they need to test all calibers and all the popular pellets or possibly slugs for those calibers.
Thats a lot of work!
If they can produce the results with other pellet weights shapes calibers ect they have been able to do with the Kings I’m happy to wait.
