We all know the little red sticker on these JSBs denote die number and head diameter. What does the large white sticker mean? Floor sweepings ?

is there another white sticker of the size of the red one on the left hand tin? or your importer requested to not to have it?

the small sticker carries most of the useful info for us airgunners, i hope they will add the insert type code to it too at some point, or starting naming the pellets differently if there is a major change in design/shape. it is the highest time.

generally barcodes are for product ID, just like on many other retail products, it is for identification in shops when they scan it at the till for example.

weirdly i cant find out the country of origin based on the country code, so that barcode is not a generic one. is it from AOA or where?

Hello guy's I have been shooting air rifles for almost a year know and don't post much on forums much but I read them every day religiously to try and learn as much as I possibly can to improve my shooting. Recently I began the process of "sorting Pellets" by weight and head size using a digital grain scale and the pellet gauge. I shoot .177 JSB 10.34 pellets out of my Air Arms Ultimate Sporter rifle and have always had the unexplained fliers that I guess every one seems to have but after sorting I can say I have greatly reduced them !
I have found at least in the 8 tins that I have sorted that the tins with the red head size sticker are MUCH more consistent than the tins with the large white bar-code sticker on the back of the tin. I have had some tins that had pellets ranging in weight from 10.0 to10.8 grains and head size from 4.48 to 4.54 in the same tin but the tins with the red sticker are DEFINITELY more consistent at least the ones I have checked
I have done group testing indoors at 40 yards and out doors in the best of conditions out to 60 yards and my findings at least with my rifle is that weight sorting is more important than head size. At those distances my POI change is almost not detectable from 10.2 to 10.6 grains.
Don't know if this info is of any use to anyone but Its just my findings so far.. Love the forum!! Keep it rolling!! Jeff Little McMurray Pa.
