Welcome to AIRGUN NATION - please introduce yourself here!

Hello from Central California. Please call me Mike.

I'm new to air rifles. In the Fall of 2016 we moved to a property with an almond orchard that was overrun by ground squirrels. With my wifes' encouragement (!), I purchased a Wildcat .25 that is awesome. I expected to be busy shooting squirrels all summer. But in the spring we leveled the orchard (and squirrel tunnels) with a harrow and added a German Shorthair Pointer. The result was that we have rarely seen a ground squirrel this season, and I have not had a shot at one. My incredible Wildcat outfit has been sitting in its Pelican Stormcase.....

Ah, a fellow WC .25 guy! Welcome :). I enjoyed the pic of your gorgeous walnut stock.

Hello Mike! Sounds like we are not all that far from one another, we should shoot some time. Send word and we'll make it happen.

Sorry, posted in General Airgunning as well:

Crosfire here. Been lurking for about a year getting info and insight from all you folks. Much appreciated! Same handle on the yellow, TAG, and GTA…..
I am City guy that got the beak barrel bug 3 years ago, CO2 2 years ago, and PCP 18 months ago…..and as you know the rest is history. Currently shooting a .22 Disco, P-Rod, Mutant Short, .22 Huntsman XL, .25 JKhan Noblesse

HI Larry636 here. I am in the market for a squrriel airgun, but being a complete nuby I spend alot of time online trying to get guidance. I can find no active airgun clubs in N GA to get involved with which is unfortunate. Have tried a couple springers but triggers were awful and holding the sight on target was tough. I will look for a good trade show to attend and go from there.

Hi Larry, I'm not sure of what your budget is but check out Flying Dragon Air rifles, and look at a fully tuned Xisico odel XS25. It's a clone of the RWS 34 and after Mike puts his hands on it you will have a very smooth shooter that doesn't have a whole lot of recoil and is very accurate. For the gun and his full tune will run you $225 and come with lifetime warranty and support.

Howdy,
New guy on the block here from AZ. Been into the boomsticks for good long while now, but as of lately - more into the airgun's. I've got a couple little bb gun's that the kids shoot and a beeman kodiak break barrel .22 that I have probably stretched the limits on. Its taken more dove and pigeon than I can count, a few rabbits (who were drt) and i've been able to shoot it consistently out to 90 yards with a 6mil holdover. I used to frequent the snipershide forum's, and hunt and shoot regularly but, honestly - got kinda bored with shooting. I took a hiatus, but always kept the pellet gun's around because they were ALWAYS fun. Anyways, now I am looking to get a bit more serious into the airgun world and researching my first PCP. My hopes are to see what I can do with a PCP, hopefully hunt with it. Hopefully try and stretch the shooting distance on it? We'll see.

About me - I am 33, married to my high school sweetheart with two wonderful little ones. Working a job that's - ehh, not so super sweet but pays the bill's. Kinda.

Happy airgunning!

I live in Phoenix AZ, decided to get into Air Rifles for benchrest and hunting. Spent about a month researching and once I stopped drooling and decided what I wanted I had to order it. On the waiting list at Airguns of Arizona for an FX Crown with a green laminate stock. I think I have decided on a Athlon Argos BTR 6-24x50 FFP and an Atlas ADM 170-S bi-pod. Any input would be appreciated as the Crown won’t be here until January and I have time to change my mind. I know there are better and more expensive scopes but with all the other accessories I have to get I have hit my expense limit.

Looking forward to learning for everyone on the forum.

I live on the arizona strip in arizona have read different posts here for quite a while and got lots of info.
Ran across a FX impact for sale in the classifieds and joined to ask questions about it and ended up
buying it now i have a FX bobcat mk2 .25 for sale and want to post it but dont have enough posts to
list it here yet. So this is #7 and i need 10 to list it

Hi Ken here, I live in sunny southeast Florida. My first air gun a friend gave me was a bb gun looked like a m1 carbine dont remember who made it but you pumped or jacked the barrel to cock it, guess it was a springer .Was way back in like 1968. My father took it away after my older brother took out the neighbors window trying to shoot a bird on a wire oops probably a good thing at the time as i lived in a big city San Francisco with not a lot of good shooting places. Found a RWS 34 1.77cal with scope in a pawn shop (75 bux) years later as an "adult"well atleast age wise and was blown away by its power and accuacy.Loaned that one to a friend and he moved out of state with it ...bastid. Was poking around on youtube and ran across Tedsholdover.I really enjoyed his videos and thought besides his great shooting skills he was informative and honest in his opinions and reviews.I am now a owner of a FX BOBCAT 25cal which is everything Ted said it was and waiting on my FX IMPACT in also 25cal.Teds a fairly humble guy and I wish him the best at this years EBR.Seems to be some very knowledgeable airgunners here and im looking forward to learning from everyone's experience.

I'm Nate M. I live in Northern California. I have some of those full auto evanix rifles and I like to target shoot. For target shooting I have a Steyr hunting 5 Auto which is pretty awesome in 22 caliber. And then I shoot a daystate wolverine 303 in .30 cal. I like to use the Hawke Airmax scopes. I can only shoot to 50 yards at my house, but I like to be able to shoot the hat off a Lego man or a GI Joe at that distance (from the bench). I have been having a good time collecting, buying, and selling airguns for the last couple years and it's a great Hobby. I just wish I knew of someplace I could compete around here but I have not been able to dig anything up. I live near San Francisco.

I’m william. I’m from Michigan, metro Detroit area.. I work at Kuka robotics, building robot assembly lines.. just within the last few months, I decided to pull out my old game bic cat 950 .22 to shoot some rats runnning around my backyard. After 5 days of missing every single shot, I decided to get a new gun.. lots of searching and researching landed me here as well as a few other good sights.. anyway I decided on a tx200 mkiii.. love the gun, haven’t missed a shot on a rat yet...

anyway, looking forward to being a member here..

Artie here, from sunny NE Florida. (Sunny, now that Irma has passed.) I had a little Crosman as a teenager. Then, a little later in life, moved up to a Gamo Hunter. (Nice rifle.) Now I'm retired and would like to treat myself to a little more "upscale" rifle. Probably PCP in the $600 to $1200 range. SO, I'm hoping to tap into some knowledge and experience here. I'll be doing mostly plinking/target shooting, but might also want to deal with some rats. Big problem in our area.

So anyway, howdy all.
