Welcome to AIRGUN NATION - please introduce yourself here!

Hi. I'm Mike. As a kid I sent a lot of time shooing my Daisy red rider BB gun and Benjamin multi-pump guns. I stopped shooting them when I was bout 13 or so. About 5 years a go I got back into shooting, this time with firearms. Over the years since, I have grown very fond of airguns. It started when I picked up my old Benjamin again and I now have spent way more money on airguns that I would have ever expected. I'm loving it but life is busy with a wife, graduate school, and 9 month-old daughter now. But I get out and shoot when I get the chance.

Hello,
My name is Tom, I'm retired, in my mid 60's and enjoy doing what I want when I want. Been around firearms most of my life, got into adult air guns a few years ago and have since accumulated several. I'm registered at a couple other airgun sites and just found this site from watching something on YouTube today, appears to be another good place for visiting and conversation.

Hello! My names Trey Ellis! I'm 25 from NorthWest Ohio. I've been into springers most of my life thanks to my oldest brother and just in the last year have a gotten into PCP and I instantly fell in love! Started with a marauder 25 cal and now have a second one being an Impact 25! Looking for more people around my area to hangout with and share info and shoot some awesome air guns!

Hello I'm Grumpytroll I live in Citrus county Florida, 64 years old and according to my wife in my second childhood I fly rc planes and now small racing quadcopters for the past 2 years. Just got back into airguns this past December 2016 with a Crosman 1377 that I modified now using a modified Crosman 2240 pumping the 1377 was getting to my shoulders lol. I grew up in a gun shop owned by my father in Tampa Fl. in the 50s and 60s and hunted with him from the age of six with a 22 rifle that was purchased from a Sears catalog and on to other rifles and shotguns. I always did like airguns who would have thought they would advance this far I love it.

Thanks for the great website AIRGUN NATION.

Hello and welcome from Indiana!

Evening Y'all, Swamp Rat here I've been going by that since you had to register CB radios, and it has carried over into internet forum. Came here to pick some brains as it looks like the PCP world is becoming in reach financially for me. Grew up with the red Ryder shooting mostly instinctively and still love getting it out, I've had the pump up rifles and pistols, and got into the spring pistons for the pecan stealers. Now I'm looking into doing some night time and day time shooting of yotes and maybe the occasional Hog when the stars align. Been watch the guys on youtube and learning over the years but missing some information that I need help with and so when the Experiment channel had the link to the web site, I figured I needed to come over to where I can ask some questions and hopefully get some Good Answers to them.
Oh 49 years old, from South Carolina.

Hello from central Minnesota! My name is John. My interest in air guns goes back a full 50 years starting with a blue streak Sheridan. I still have it. And I have collected way to many more guns over the years. About 20 some years ago, I learned about Dennis Quackenbush. I had to have one of those guns. Man do I love the big bores. I now have two .495 bandits, I own a .45 Gargoyle, a 9 MM Corsair, and a .58 caliber Quackenbush pistol. I was a prototype machinist all my life. (Recently retired) And I own a fully tooled up machine shop in the basement. That comes with a very understanding wife. My line of work was building hydraulic devices that destroyed things. earthquake simulators for example. I use a good CAD program and have designed my own style of Air guns. My first is another .58 caliber air pistol. it is certainly not a clone of the Quackenbush. it has many very cool features like being fully stainless steel and built with out protruding knobs. I will go into detail on another post after I figure out how to use this forums new photo system. It looks nice.
So where would you folks like to see me post the story of the big .58 Stainless pistol? I believe it is the most powerful, holsterable, air pistol in the world. John

Welcome John. Your air pistol is a fine work indeed. I'd love to know more about it and how it shoots. I can only look with envy at anyone with their own workshop with metal working capabilities. You'd be a great neighbor to have, but alas 9000 miles away means you're safe.
I look forward to more of your posts in the future. I wish you abundant years of retirement.
I only have two PCP rifles, a RAW HM1000X in .25, and a BSA Sportsman HV in .22 and love shooting them both. May increase the stable this year, when State side later on.

Hello from California. Been lurking for a while, since a buddy got a BSA r10. Pre ordered a gauntlet as a good way to ease into a pcp, got frustrated at the ship date being pushed back so I jumped on a used fx streamline and couldn't be happier. Was going to cancel the gauntlet order out of frustration but i figure if/when it shows up it will be a fun surprise.

Howdy,
Figured I would say hello since I've been lurking around here for a while now.

Got into the slippery slope of PCP's a couple of years ago after a "learning experience" with a big box store, Gamo. (Enough said)

That's gotten me to a .22 Marauder which got me to a .25 Vulcan Tactic which has me at a soon to arrive RAW HM1000X .30 cal.

Having a great time learning from others here, although it is proving costly.

Air rifles have come a very long way since I was a kid.

See y'all out in the forum along the way!

Wow, dwarthog; it's like I have a twin! Your learning curve is very similar to mine. My first hunting air gun was the Marauder .22 pistol. I then evolved to the Datstate Pulsar .25, then the FX Impact .30, and now I have just ordered the new RAW HMx .357 (130 ft# regulated). Along the way, I have acquired a Chrony, 75 cu-ft tank, compressor, Hawke Sidewinder scope, rifle backpack, Trigger Stick tripod, bino, range finder, trigger-pull gauge, dB meter, and a slew of other various accessories. I hope the evolution never stops!
