WEIGHED A FEW...Nielsen Specialty Ammo 0.25 34.7gr

Since I had been weighing the JSB MKIIs and sorting those, I ordered some of the Nielsen Specialty Ammo (NSA) swaged 0.250 34.7 grain hollow point ammo. I ordered 100 pellets ($20 + 7 shipping). These are the ones intended for high powered PCP air guns (FX Royale 500), and are the lightest of the ones they offer. They compare favorably to the JSB MKII dimensions - JSBs are about 0.345 inch long, the NSAs are about 0.325 inches (NSA website lists them at 0.334 inches). That's important so I can use the FX magazine and not single load them.

And of course the weights are close, too, between the MKII and NSA. These are the weights.

If these had been JSB MKII, I would have pretty much kept everything in one group, except for maybe the 2-4 lightest ones. I only measure JSBs to the tenth of a grain and round, whereas these were measured to the 0.02 grain (which is the resolution of my scale).

One disappointing thing is that the heads had quite a few severe dings/gouges. I would think that would affect the accuracy at longer ranges. I haven't shot any of them yet - I'm waiting for better weather. I bought them just to try them, and to probably use on raccoons at around 45 yards.
