Watch & Discuss the Air Arms Galahad!

It looked like you have to tilt your head quite a bit to look into your scope. Is that just the way bullpups are shouldered or was it just the Galahad. I've been thinking of getting a bullpup but I'm wondering which is more comfortable to shoulder- bullpup or rifle. I have a pistol/carbine and it's more difficult to hold as steady as my rifle.

Can you buy these Accessory rail notches as an after market add on part?
I know you would have to modify the stock but I have a taipan Veteran that I would like to have this on…
Where would you buy them from?
Thanks for the help
Any help would be appreciated

If you want the recessed rail system? google this: anschutz rail system.

and if you have one on a rifle here is the adapter to weaver for accessories.

RAW has one of those for sale.

"Bustedwin"He was talking about the sports rings. Do rings really make that big of a difference.

I can speak to that some. There was a time in my life where all I was able to afford we're Leapers/UTG... and they worked just fine for me. Years later, I was able to afford BKL and gave them a try. Their self centering design was a real benefit in aligning the scope very close to neutral zero and the quality/rigidity was a big step up. I still have em' and use em.' Then Sportmatch decided to back the channel and once again I was introduced step up in quality, rigidity, and versatility. Perhaps the winner or somene else with experience can speak up but I've never had my hands on nicer mounts.

"cally88"Thanks, AGN and AEAC for another great opportunity! Steve, it is hard for me to tell, but does the cocking mechanism have any spring tension to return to the neutral (horizontal) position? also is it possible to double feed? Thanks

Nope, just as with a rear bolt or traditional side lever, the shooter has to complete the cocking action with a pellet seating movement. I believe it CAN be double fed but I'm not 100% as I didn't try.

Looking through all these comments I am very surprised at the dislike for the 100 yd groups. I am sure at some point we have all shot better. However if I can expect less than 2 inches any day of the week... well that's a good gun. The galahad looks to be a great gun. The lever location and the beefy construction appeal to me. The only turn offs to me are its crazy high bore axis and its general aesthetics. I personally don't think this will be a huge seller simply because it is too late to the game with too high of a price tag and nothing really groundbreaking but there are at least a couple things that just might push the bullpup ag arena a little bit further.
