Video editing software

As it is my first post here - hello all.
And as a motion designer end video compositing specialist here's my thoughts on video editing software for our shooting needs:
1. You cen use free and really simple software like IMovie
2. You can use Final Cut X(MAC) or Adobe Premiere Pro (PC or Mac) - but that's full professional software and I'm not sure that you need to spend money for that if you will use it only as for editing videos from christmass or from shooting range.
3. You can use Adobe Premiere Elements - much cheaper than Premiere Pro and little bit easier but still you have to spend some money.
4. And at last - my favorite software HitFilm Express. I used that software before it was free, and now when newest version of it is free - I'm mreaching it to everyone who is not a pro and need good easy and cheap (free) editing software. You can find more on that software here: http://motionfreaks.pl/teksty/newsy/item/961-hitfilm-3-express-zupelnie-za-darmo-dla-kazdego - sorry for that weird language - that is my native language - Polish, and for all of you that don't know polish link from FXHome - authors of that awesome software: https://hitfilm.com/express
