UTG Recon 360 Bipod - HALF PRICE

"mr.grimm"I would recommend the medium height one also. I have the tall one and find it a little to tall for bench shooting. It is a great bipod just to tall for bench shooting.
I ordered the medium height one to use for my back yard plinking sessions. Thanks for the heads up on the price cut. That is $25.00 less than I paid for my tall
Recon 360.
I was considering the Large size, so it can function in the woods. I figured I could just use it with the legs locked forward and short as possible for bench targeting.

"wyshadow"My UTG Recon 360 came in yesterday and I have to say, this bipod is really nice. Feels very durable and the designed of it looks like I can hold the gun in many different positions. Thanks for the heads up jfrazier30. I haven't mounted the bipod yet. I still need to modify the gun stocks to attach the picatinny rails.

Hey, please share with us the rail you're adding to the stock and how that's going. I'm interested in doing the same thing.

And I guess I'm also looking for pros/cons of using a rail vs. just adding a stud for the bipod mounting. I would be going into the walnut wood stock on a Royale.

jfrazier, thanks for the heads up on these. I got down earlier or when you posted it. I'm a sucker for a good price, to a flaw, I'll buy stuff I don't need due to good savings. But when this arrived and I slapped it on my Taipan Veteran I was instantly enamored with it. Much better than my Atlas clone and if I had the real thing, I feel I'd like the Recon better than that as well. The smooth panning and elevation make for a perfect platform.

Sorry this took so long but here's what I did to mount the bipod

Scored the bottom of the rail I had to cut in half

Scored the wood stock

I used JB weld because I didn't want to go through the hassle of mixing up a batch of dyed glass bedding epoxy

Smeared the JB weld on to the stock and made sure not to put any in the screw hole

Tighten down the picatinny rail and cleaned up the excess
