To FX Wildcat owners

I recently purchased a Wildcat in .25. It came with the standard two piece moderator. Took it out in my backyard to test the loudness. Seems to have a bit more of a crack than I feel comfortable with. I just ordered two more mid baffle sections. Do you guys think that this will knock the report down a bit? I had a Bobcat in .25 with four baffles and it was pretty darn quiet. Thanks

Shot one the other day with 4 or 5 section and it was about as loud as a pea shooter!

i've added sections to my WC and yes, it does make a difference.

I put all 3 on my .22 and got a Huggett instead. Huge reduction in report and tone.

I have a Huggett on my .25 Wildcat. Fwiw that setup is very quiet. Never tried stock though, sorry I can't help you there.

I have 5 for my Wildcat .22 cal and I can't really discern much difference between 2 sections and all 5. But, the .22 is quieter than the .25 out of the box, so your mileage may vary. Might want to look at a Neil Clague, Huggett, or Donny Du moderator.

Thanks all. A Huggett is still on my radar. Especially if the addition of two more sections does not get the report down a bit. Granted it is already quiet, but for my " backyard " situation I need a little more Hush.
