Oh no! I wouldn't dream of hurting him. In fact, I need to rethink how and where I set the traps so he/she doesn't get hurt.
I think he's the cutest little critter, and the only one in the neighborhood that I know of.

These guys pretty much keep things in check, so I'm surprised that I've seen that little squirrel two years in a row now, and have yet to see another.

Oh man, that would be hilarious! Now you've got me thinking of funny things he could drag around...

With all of my luck, that spinning squirrel on the feeder would vomit peanut butter all over my windows and I'd be out there cleaning them again

I didn't post the second part of the video, but the squirrel drug the mouse trap down the deck stairs before I intervened. As said before, I suspect he was headed for his dray.

Where I live, he/she is the only Red Squirrel that I can ever recall seeing, so I won't be harming it. The mouse population, at least around my home, is under control. Hence the reason I pulled the traps and put them up on the deck.

I had a pest rabbit, which had eaten a ton of my shrubs this past winter. Every time I went by a window, I carefully scanned for the little tart. This went on for weeks. I kept seeing signs, but no rabbit.

I did a little recon on foot, and to my surprise, I found a big pile of fresh fur under a tree. It appears that Mr. Hootie got to the rabbit before I could. Being that rabbit is not in season, I would rather that the owl got it than the trash bin.
