This is a sad tale, there once was a man, springers is all he knew, then a Wildcat .25 came into his life. They did not like each other at first, he found the gun to fit his shoulder oddly, the gun's first shot was slow and off target, he worked hard to over come these hurdles, then he bought himself a Chrony, 13 different pellets and set to work to find the accuracy of the FX Smooth bore legend. They worked hard and spent many hours at his range, calculating BC's, perfecting their hold, controlling his breathing... and then magic happened; AA 25.4 pellets made amazing groups, dropped small vermin at ranges the man never knew. So he bought many of these magic pellets, just to find, the magic was in that one tin and only in that one, for all the rest of the AA 25.4 tins shot well, impressive others would say, average for most of you who are reading this.
The morals of the story: Don't base your judgment based on a single tin's performance and if you ever find a magical tin, cherish it.
Stupid story, sorry for all of you that read the whole thing, but I am sooooo bummed, I once shot 8 rounds at 100 yards that was 5/8" c-c, with a bunch of jeering powder burners, saying I am a nuts for spending that much money on a pop gun, only to see their jaws drop as the group was shot, it was priceless. So I have an average Wildcat, that once shot amazingly well, kind of sucks, cause now I know what near perfection feels like and the pursuit to recapture that lighting in a bottle is on, more intensely than ever! and dang it is expensive!!!!
