Yes sir,the mutant is on my list.:)
I've been doing a bit of reading and the mutant owners really love them.
I haven't found really anything bad about them other than a barrel debacle a while back which is sorted out on earlier versions. The new tiapan mutants have a few nice upgrades over the older versions.
yup high on my list..
THanks for posting up the info dairyboy.
+1:)

Yeah it's really a great gun. These newer ones are even better. Better shot count, newly designed regulator, anti double load feature that even if you decock the gun with a pellet inside it won't cycle the magazine when you recock it to fire. It's awesome! And accuracy is great! Soon hope to do the same Chrony test on my .25 standard and also do shot groups at 50yds with both.

I've had 3 Taipans. One Mutant Standard .22 which I sold to fund the .25 Veteran Standard and then recently got the .22 Veteran Shorty. Between them all I don't think I could choose which is more accurate. All have been easily capable of sub MOA at 50yds for me. All have been very efficient with air also. Can't recall the reg set point on the Mutant but for the Veterans the .25s are at 150bar and the .22s at 120bar. I will soon be running a chrony on the .25 to see what my full string looks like also tuned at 900fps with the 25.39 pellets. Really it comes down to if more shots at less power is better for you or more power at less shots. And if you really can't decide get both like me LOL

Here's the Veteran Standard .25 shot string. As you can see about 40 shots on the reg at 45fpe. The reg is set at 150bar. When it comes off the reg it still has a decent bell curve. I decided to tune it to where it has very minimal curve after and bumped it up to 930fps and now only raises to 940fps and back down to 930fps in about 10 shots after falling off the reg. At 33yds it's just as accurate as it was shooting at 860fps. Definitely excited to get this thing out hunting.

Dairyboy,

Any long term updates on your Veteran .25? I'm just now breaking mine out for duty now that I'm retired from my regular job. I haven't made any modifications / tuning changes.

Here's what I'm using for Chairgun data:
