I really hate it when you come out with these videos, one day after I have my new scope purchased and mounted

No worries Buddy , if I truly had all the money I have wasted on junk scopes I could seriously buy me some Whiscombe rifles just to plink with

i love the no beating around the bush way u do things,,straight forward ,and SWFA you have always told me thats the best scope for the price ,,no others can beat there price thanks joe pat

What you should do is a comparison at 10X magnification on all the scopes you have. Just quickly show, about 5seconds, the view thru each.

Here's my AZ & SWFA SS 16X Scope Story...
1 day this past year I decided to send my my SWFA SS 16X fixed scope to AZ for him to complete his "Dial of Death" ballistics work to complete the full tune on my Theoben Rapid MK2 .177, .20, .22 rifle. Here's the conversation:
Me: Allen, I'm sending you a SWFA SS 16X fixed scope for you to complete your ballistics work on the Rapid.
Allen: I don't work w/ inferior scopes.
Me: (I laugh to myself) This scope is a nice scope Allen. US snipers used this scope back in the day.
Allen: I don't work w/ Hawke scopes or any scopes made in China. Those scopes don't track well & don't hold zero well.
Me: (I laugh to myself) Allen, please work/test this scope. If you dont like her, throw her back in the box & ship her back to me.
Allen: Ok...
Couple days later Allen calls me back:
Allen: This scope is amazing. Clarity is bright, tracking is very repeatable, she is small, & compact. I really like this scope. How much did you buy this scope for? $700?
Me: Allen, I bought her used for $250.
Allen: What? This scope was $250?
Me: Yes Allen...used...& made in Japan...
Allen: I really like the bright clarity, the thin crosshair, & the audible clicks when dialing.
Me: I tried to tell you Allen. Does this scope meet your approval?
Allen: Yes, it does. You'll be very satisfied w/ this very accurate scope/rifle combination.
Me: Very good...thats what I like to hear Sir...Thanks...
True story & end of story.

That Rapid is bad to the Bone !! Yep a thumbs up from AZ is good enough for anybody who's been in the sport a while .
Most of the scopes I do reviews on for my Lil YouTube channel track well " for their price range" but huge difference between something that tracks like a precision tool .
The SWFA scopes ive owned ALL tracked exactly as they should and held zero till moved again.
Can't get better than that !

Looks like the scope in the first picture is an Athlon. What model was it? What did you think of it?

Yes, your correct. The glass on the Rapid was a Athlon Argos 6-24x50 FFP scope. I really liked the FFP glass for the money & I felt the 50mm objective lens let the scope obsorb sunlight in for good clarity. I mainly set the magnification either @ 16X for pesting or 24X for long distance target shooting. @ 24X this scope was surprisingly still clear @ 50 yards. The Athlon scope was on my .25 Vulcan most her short life & to me this scope was big & heavy for a bullpup if hunting. I really liked the Apmr IR-Mil reticle for doping wind & the multi illumination option is great for dawn/dusk hunts.
The only issue I did not approve was that the yardage paralax knob was not accurate. For example, I would be viewing my target at 50 yards lasered w/ my rangefinder & when I tried to focus the paralax knob, she would be turned to 35 or 37 yards for best viewing. I called Athlon about this issue & they told me to return the scope no questions asked. A week later, I received a new scope w/ the identical issue but instead of 35 or 37 yards, she slightly improved to 40 or 42 yards still viewing my target @ 50 yards. I've been through many scopes and to locate the perfect compact scope w/ illumination, minimum viewing paralax @ 10 yards, supreme clarity, & affordability is difficult to find for an air rifle. The closest scope option to these characteristics that I really like is the March 3-24x52 FFP illuminated scope which is +$2000 tier.

Can't argue with that! I love SWFA! My favorite scopes hands down as well. That's why my 10x42 is going on my WARP when it gets here.

I just mounted a SWFA 10X42 MOA Quad Reticle on my RWS Model 54. Amazing! SWFA told me in an e-mail that the scope was springer rated, so I purchased it. My 54 had broken two lesser scopes before this. So far, so good. I also added the Model 54TH muzzle brake.
