Sun Optics TAC IV 30MM TACTICAL SCOPE - CS27-83250

Looking at that same scope, not for a springer, however. It was recommended to me by a friend who shoots nothing but springers, and he has had several Sun Optics scopes and seems very pleased with them.

I do not have any personal experience with these units. I think the ones that are on clearance have covered turrets if that matters to you. Still, 30mm tube and etched reticle for $100. That's pretty good even if it isn't perfect.

I ordered the CS27-41650. Have not had a chance to mess much with it yet but the turrets have a decent click and the zoom and focus appear decent. The scope feels light for the size but for $100 including the rings it is not bad. There is no information in the box regarding the mildot reticle so I emailed the company and they confirmed that it is true mildot at 10X power. The company is responsive and answered my emails within the hour. One thing to be aware of is that the scope turrets say 1 click = 1/4" but the hatches are in tenths so if you plan on dialing in your shot you might run into some confusion. The company confirmed that each click is 1/4" and that the turrets on the scope came like that. It makes no sense why it was done that way but my guess is that someone screwed the pooch. They did offer to take the scope back if I was not happy. If I knew that the turret markings were like that I would not have bought the scope so I wanted to put that out there in case that will be an issue for someone.

Are you certain the reticle is etched? I notice that on the description of all the TAC IV scopes the "Glass-Etched Reticle" is no longer there.
