Sticky bolt on Crosman 2300S Silhouette

I have a new Crosman 2300S Silhouette. While it is very accurate and I enjoy using it, it has one minor, but annoying problem. About a third of the time, after I cock the action, insert a pellet, and push the bolt home, the bolt sticks just short of the bolt handle slot and the bolt handle will not rotate down. I have to pull the bolt back and forcefully ram it home to get to the point where I can rotate it down. Most of the time, though, the bolt easily pushes the pellet into the breach and rotates down to lock. Why it doesn't work this way all the time is a mystery to me.
Is there anyone else who has this pistol and has experienced a sticky bolt? Is there a known cause? Is there a solution?

Crosman 2300S which is on the 2240 platform can get out of harmonics with the three attachment points of the barrel band, rear breech end cap screw and small breech screw that is inside the loading chamber. Try loosening rear end cap screw(don't pull out) and slide barrel band off of gas tube(you will have to degas and unscrew CO2 filler cap) Then make sure small breech screw is not loose but snug. Be careful because it's easy to strip so do not over tighten. See if bolt probe slides easily at this point then reattach barrel band and then snug rear breech screw.

It is usually the small breech screw that is the culprit and .177 bolt probes seem to get in a bind more than the .22 maybe because of the smaller diameter of the probe with a 2300S having smaller chambering tolerances. Hope this helps just remember to go slow on snugging breech screw.

Sometimes the insides of the breech where the bolt slides is kinda rough and the corner where the bolt engages in full battery is kinda sharp. When I get my hands on a new steel breach asmbly I take the bolt out and look for burrs in the breach and start with a file if necessary the follow up with sand papper then some polishing compound if u like. DO NOT locktite the little screw in the breach!!
